Zane was bored out of his mind. The teacher, Mr. Michaelson, had them all spread out so that they couldn't talk to each other. Mr. Michaelson was a freak! he could see everything you were doing without looking at you. Freaky. Zane was sitting in the middle desk, Lexi Hamilton in the far right corner, Kale on the far left corner. and Kendall Murphy on the top right corner. From what Zane had observed over the last 15 minutes, this was going to suck. a lot. If he wasn't out in ten minutes, he would lose his mind. Zane had never gotten into trouble before. Atleast not without sweet talking his way out of it. Too bad it had to be a MR. Michaelson, instead of a MISS Michaelson, maybe then he'd have a chance of skipping detention. He could also get the others out, not that he really cared.

Detention was like prison. You've got the gaurd (the old geezer, Michaelson)
and of course, the jailbirds. There was Zane, Kendall, and much to his dismay, Lexi. His next door neighbor, and the girl he hated. It was already bad enough to have to live right next door to her, but it totally sucked to go to the same school with her.

"Alright, Kids. I'm just gonna run down a few things. Don't talk!" Mr. Michaelson boomed. Could he be and louder? As soon as Michaelson was out the door, Kale got up, and grabbed his bag. He wasn't gonna stay locked up with HER.
He opened the windows and stuck his left leg out the window.

Kendall stared wide eyed at the boy, whose name was Kaleb or something.
He was going to break out of detention. How daring. How cool. And yet totally unexeptable. Kendall knew that detention sucked, but she could not risk getting a bad mark written down her file for doing a hooligan act.
"Hey, Kaleb. I know it's tempting, but you can't just leave detention," Kendall said to the boy.

"It's Kale, and yeah, I can leave. I did it all the time in my old school."
Lexi Rolled her eyes at him in disbelief. Kale ignored her. [i]"Besides, who wants to stay cooped up in this shitty place?" Kale asked. He knew for a fact that nobody would want to spend their first day locked up in a musty old room. At least Kale wouldn't. He didn't know about the rest.

Zane shrugged. The kid had a point. He wasn't staying here. No way.
"I'm with you. I'm not staying here," Zane got up to follow Kale out the window. He hoped that he wouldn't get caught. He didn't come here just to get into all sorts of trouble. He came here for babes and a new future. But mostly babes. Starting with Kendall. She was pretty cute, but she seemed.....a little uptight? he hated uptight girls. They were no fun at all.

A part of Lexi wanted to go with the guys, but a part of her didn't. The reason was because HE was going. Lexi hated Kale with a burning passion. He was jackass. Worse, he was the jackass she had to wake up to everymorning. But when it came to sitting in a dusty old room for hours on end, she'd have to take her chances with the devil.

"I'm with you too." she mumbled. She looked at her shoes as she said this. She could feel Kale grinning his devious little grin at her.
"What was that?" he asked again. Lexi grew irratated. He knew that she hated repeating herself. Lexi looked up at him to glare up at him. "I said. I'm. With.You," she said through gritted teeth. Kale pointed his ear toward her and said "Can't hear you, Alexis," He really wanted to piss her off right now.
"It's Lexi, you asswipe" Lexi growled. He didn't seem to care.

"Pottymouth hunh?" Kale enjoyed the look on Lexi's face. She was so easy to piss off. That's probablly the only thing he liked about her. "Ken, are you in?" He looked at her. She looked really pissed for some reason. What? are you scared or something?" Kale asked.

"No. I'm not scared." Kendall said. "Then what's the problem?" Kale asked.
Kendall glared at him. "Don't call me Ken. I'm Kendall! KenDALL," God, she hated it when people tried to give her nicknames. Kale didn't seem to care. He just rolled his eyes and turned back to what he was doing.

Kendall stayed put while Kale hopped out of the classroom, and into the grassy fields of P.C.A. Zane hesitated for a bit. He seemed to be considering something. Whatever. Kendall didn't care. He was cute, but totally not cool.

"Ken's just too scared to get into a little trouble" Lexi said. She recieved the iciest glare ever from Kendall. "Kendall! and I'm not scared."
Kendall stated. "Then prove it," Lexi dared. Kendall hesitated, but got to her feet. "If I get into big trouble. You're Dead!" She pointed a thin finger at her.
"ohh...I'm scared," Lexi said mockingly. "What are you gonna do? throw
nail polish at me?"

"Cool it you guys! Mr. Michaelson might hear us!" Zane hushed the two. He followed Kale out the window. Follwing him was Lexi then Kendall.

After thirty minutes in a musty old room, nature has never felt anymore sweeter! Free! We're free! He shouted, but Kale quickly covered his mouth.
"Shut it! We're not free just yet. Were still in school property!" Kale hissed.
Zane opened his mouth to speak, but Lexi cut in. What do you mean by not free yet? You aren't planning on actually escaping are you?" she asked. Kale rolled his eyes. "That was the whole point of this little gathering in case you missed it. We're out, and we're not going back. Unless you're gonna be a little baby and sneak back in while we make a run for it," Wow. Something told Zane that the two had issues with each other.

Lexi was about to punch Kale in the mouth, but Zane pulled her back before she could strike. Kale looked bored and hadn't moved an inch. "Cool it. Mr. Michaelson. Remember?" Zane said. Lexi wriggled her arm off of his hold and crossed her arms over her chest. "Okay. Whatever. Just make sure he stays the fuck away from me," she growled. Kale snickered and said "You need to stay away from me," Kendall was sort of just in the backround examining her nails. She could tell she was nervous. She's probablly used to being the good girl with a clean slate. "Kenall, are you okay?" Despite the fact that she had been a total bitch earlier, she still had to try to be nice to her. After all, Kendall seemed like the perfect way to start her transformation into a girly girl.

"I'm Fine. Why wouldn't I be?" Kendall snapped. She was a nervous reck. What would happen if she got caught? she would totally get killed by her parents!
She wasn't used to hanging with these type of people, but here she was. Standing in a circle with a tomboy , a loser, and a misfit. How mortifying.

"So.. Where exactly are we heading?" Zane asked. I mean, obviously they couldn't stick around campus. They'd get caught. Lexi continued to glare, Kendall just looked at her shoes, and Kale was just leaning on a tree. Nobody responded. They were all in their own world. It was like they were the next Breakfast Club. They had the bad boy, Kale. The bitch, kendall, the freak, Lexi, and out of all them, he would be the cool one. Zane thought. He smiled to himself. He found it twistingly cool to have a group of friends who don't exactly mix in with the right click. There was only one problem with that thought. They weren't friends.

"There is no WE. This is it. We can all go wherever."
Kale said flatly. He didn't mean to mislead Zane. The two just couldn't be friends.
Kale was a loner, nobody liked him. Besides, Zane would probablly just leave him for another cooler group eventually. Kendall shrugged. "Bye, Losers. I'm calling up my friends to take me to the movies! Ciao!" She seemed happy. She snapped her cell open and strutted away from the group.
"Thank god. I couldn't stand another second with you," Lexi said.
she walked away from the two. Now it was Zane's turn to walk away from him like everyone else.

Kale seemed to be waiting for something but Zane didn't know what. He seemed a little tense, maybe he should say something? "so whats up with you? where are you going?" Kale shrugged. "I don't know. Anywhere I guess,"
He walked away, leaving Zane behind. "hey wait up! Zane yelled out. Kale didn't slow down, he just kept walking.
