He and his partner, a talking bird named Kir, travel around seeking to steal things like the 'double mermaid', and even time. There is something about Jing's eyes that captivates those watching, and his control of his own desire is what makes him the king of bandits, not his ability to fight or steal (though he can do them both with more than a little skill). Based on the manga by Kumakura and directed by the acclaimed Watanabe, King of Bandit Jing is a fun romp through a creative world. Some dislike the series because it keeps Jing's past shrouded in mystery to the very end, but the animation is so smooth and the stories so great that most people forget about not knowing. The music in the background of King of Bandits Jing is always noticeable.
