CHART-TOPPING boy band Westlife have announced they will play The O2 next year as part of their Back Home tour.

Tickets for the show on March 1 next year go on sale this Friday at 9am.

The band have spent much of the summer in the studio, recording the new album Back Home which is due for release on November 5.

David Campbell, chief executive officer of AEG Europe, owners of The O2, said: "Westlife are a huge pop success story and it is our pleasure to have them play The O2 as the London date on their Back Home Tour."

Titans of pop, Westlife are coming to London on Saturday 1 March 2008 to take the stage of The O2, our state-of-the-art venue. Don't miss this opportunity to watch the boys perform their hits, 14 of which were UK number ones.

Hi,I'm going on the 1st March,the seats are not that grand,in the first tier,I thought they were doing WEMBLEY where I usually go.Fortunately I live only about 25 mins away from the O2 Arena,it is a lovely place.The atmosphere should be wicked. :) :D :lol:

Hi Tay,your be fine finding it,there are loads of facilities from London,etc,trains & buses.It is a huge Arena,it was called the Millinium Dome in January 2000,now they have changed it to O2 Arena,so will be a great atmosphere there,GOOD LUCK :D

it holds 20,000 so plenty of noise am really looking forward to it
