Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are seeking public assistance in locating the missing person pictured here. The missing person, Tomas Guillermo Garcia, is described as a 79 year-old Hispanic man. He is 5'02" tall, weighs 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He lives on McBean Parkway in Valencia. Garcia was last seen at his residence on Friday, November 06, 2009, at 11:15 a.m. The missing person suffers from Dementia. His family is concerned and joined the Sheriff's department in asking for public assistance in locating him. Investigators have confirmed that video footage indicates the missing person apparently got off a bus in the North Hollywood area later in the day on November 6. Anyone with information regarding this missing person is asked to immediately contact the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau, Missing Persons Detail. Sightings can be immediately reported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station, via 9-1-1 or at (661) 255-1121. This is the second person to have gone missing from the Santa Clarita Valley area in the last two weeks, although the two cases are not believed to be related in any way. 18 year-old Brigett Kennemore was last seen getting off a bus in Castaic two weeks ago. |

Missing man found
Signal Staff Posted: Nov. 7, 2009 8:20 p.m. POSTED Nov. 8, 2009 5:30 a.m. A missing elderly Valencia man was found Saturday morning, according to a Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's press release. Los Angeles police officers found Tomas Guillermo Garcia, 79, in good health and he was returned to the care of a Santa Clarita senior living facility. Garcia was reported missing on Friday morning. Video footage showed Garcia getting off a bus in North Hollywood Friday evening.
