The victim was discovered on December 23, 2002 in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada.
The victim died as a result of foul play one to three years prior to the discovery of her remains.

Vital Statistics


Estimated age: 18 - 20 years old
Approximate Height and Weight: 5'7"-5'8" (171-173 cm); 54-55 kg
Distinguishing Characteristics: She had either her lip or tongue pierced with a silver barbell. She had healed fractures of the nose, which might have made her nose appear crooked to the left and healed fractures of the ribs and vertebrae. Old, well-healed fracture of the upper jaw. The healed fractures may be the result of being in an accident when she was younger.
Dentals: All her teeth were in good condition with no visible defects.

Case History
The victim was located on December 23, 2002, in a wooded area at the Huntington Stud Farm on Pine Valley Drive, just south of Kirby Sideroad, in north Vaughan. She was found by four hunters walking through a wooded area on the property.
Officers from the Archeological Forensic Recovery Unit conducted a grid search of the area and located further remains. The remains were determined to be those of a young woman.
The cause of death and details about articles of clothing found at the scene are not being made public.
The remains do not match descriptions of any missing persons during the past three years. Officers poured over nearly 200 pages of missing persons reports in Canada. York police also asked Interpol to check its missing persons files.
Police are not certain about the woman's hair and eye colour.

York Regional Police are releasing pictures of a facial reconstruction from a human skull found in a wooded area at 11170 Pine Valley Drive, in the City of Vaughan.

On December 23rd, 2002, four hunters were walking through a wooded area on the property when they located human skeletal remains and called police. Officers from the Archeological Forensic Recovery Unit conducted a grid search of the area and located further remains. The remains were determined to be those of a young woman. Numerous sources were used in attempting to identify the young woman with negative results. As a result, a facial reconstruction was completed.

VICTIM DESCRIPTION


-Female, Caucasian, age 18 -20 years
-All her teeth were in good condition with no visual defects
-Pierced tongue or lip with a silver "barbell"
-She has healed fractures of the nose which may make nose appear crooked to the left of the face
-She also has healed fractures of the ribs and vertebrae

It has been determined that the deceased met her death as a result of foul play. The investigation has also revealed that the victim had been deceased for between 1- 3 years prior to the discovery her remains.
