GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say human remains found at a Glendale excavation site last month have been identified as those of a Phoenix man missing for more than seven years.

Glendale police say Robert Anthony Baynard was last seen on June 25, 2004.

They say he left his Phoenix residence either on foot or on a black mountain bike, which he was known to ride in the area of 6700 W. Bethany Home Road in Glendale.

On Aug. 11, construction crews were excavating a vacant lot north of Bethany Home Road and west of 67th Avenue and found human bones.
