The victim was discovered on January 7, 2000 in Fillmore, Ventura County, California
Estimated Date of Death: A few months to up to five years prior
Estimated age: 30-60 years old
Approximate Height and Weight: 5'3"-5'6"; 120 lbs.
Distinguishing Characteristics: Straight medium-length, red-brown hair.
Clothing: "Cherokee" brand denim jeans (circa 30" waist); knit t-shirt (size unknown); green, short sleeve, button front shirt with open plaid design (size unknown); tan, blue and burgundy long sleeve, button front shirt (size unknown), white elastic waistband underpants and distinctive knee-high trouser socks sporting a black diamond pattern.
Dentals: Moderate to severe bone loss, possibly had gum surgery at one time. Quality of dental work is excellent and possibly recent (within 5 years). Expensive dental work that had been completed over the last five years, including crowns, fillings and a two-tooth bridge. Dental age estimated at 40+.
DNA: Insufficient DNA for profiling
This nearly complete skeleton was found by a geologist at the summit of Grimes Canyon Road in Fillmore, CA.
Her dental work probably takes the woman out of the category of being a transient, and means that identifying her would be easy based on dental records.
