Det Montgomery called and told me they cannot release any information to me on the possible match unless I am a family member.

How bizarre..So I guess we can hope that it means they are pursuing it. I just don't get what he meant that he couldn't give you any info on the pm if you are not family. Oh Well..Maybe they are checking it out and don't want to tell you how they are doing that because you aren't family. Maybe you would have better luck with Tupelo MS PD.

Betty , Years ago when I was in Doe. I had spoken with Bart aguire.. he would not tell me anything on this case, he was very rude, so Lynn researched it for me and came up with original articles and photos... in the last couple years they added her case to the Crimestopper site...with a newer photo..
I haven't even spoke to Bart since then but I did send the PM to him Via Fax.

Could be that GBI contacted Tupelo to get more info and Mr Aguire may have given it and they are looking into the pm BUT he may have stipulated that no one except law enforcement or FAMILY MEMBER be let in on their efforts. So they could be working on getting DNA etc. to compare. At least you have gotten some acknowledgement that they received the possible match (even if a little horse assy) and they must be looking into it. It does look like a great possible match.

Spoke to Detective Division at Tupelo. This match is being considered thru dna, they are waiting to get the maternal dna from Ms. Floyd's mother to compare with this Jane Doe's. They are working with the GBI on this match...so still pending!
