We miss you very much. Hope Renee Curry, Missing seven years now.. still no answers !
She went missing on a friday, Nov. 10th or 11th, 2000. White female, Ht. 5'7", Brown eyes, Long brown Hair, 100- 125lbs, Born 1977. http://www.angelfire.com/mi3/mpccn/hrcurry.html Please email us of any locations where you have seen her, or contact us through one of the emails in the Links area. Hope is listed as Endangered Missing.. If you see Hope, please call the state police!! If you know where Hope is, or have heard something, Please contact us. Hope's medical condition may prevent her from trusting the right people.
This site is for posting info to find our dear loved one, finding out what happened to her, or where she is. As you may notice, Most people that go missing are never given any media attention, and are put on a shelf by law enforcement, unless they have wealth ... Local Law Enforcement in the early critical hours, and the Virgina system have failed us. A lack of services for people who really want/need help. People who recieve no medical help for severe Bipolar become a victum of society. Ripped off by a Private Investigator who didn't even do a search or contact anyone, just a computer search for name etc. for six hundred dollars.
Only wealthy families get on CNN, or Foxnews, or get the detailed searches that use Scent following dogs and teams to search wooded area's near places she had been etc., which require you to provide extra cost like hotels, travel and other cost that occur until the person is found etc. . A hidden truth about Missing Adults, when someone appears on tv they are paid per hour to speak etc. . If they can afford to pay for the media attention, then they can hire detectives and put up a reward so that fortune hunters can make a buck.. . No one cares for the poor...
Police waited until long after she was missing, and had of course, missed a court date. They then posted her in the paper once, as missing court and issued a warrant as a fugitive... They did not bother to search for her as Endangered Missing Person, some mixed up date?
I hold a lot of anger for the person who has done this, so, bear with my angry words please.. We have looked everywhere, and gone as far as we legally can to find her.. I have hounded political figures etc. .
I personally covered, on foot and by car everywhere, showing her picture and yelling her name in neighborhoods, as I spilled coffee on myself, shaking in the cold winter. I have walked up to countless girls from behind calling her name, thinking it was her.. .
I know we cannot force answers from suspects, they have more rights as violent criminals, than the missing person and family's do. This is why I moved from the area, to keep from taking the law into my own hands, against the creep who made her disappear, or anyone I ran into with an attitude about me searching for her. I would get so angry with the multitudes of drug dealer type punks down by the beach.. I am a Veteran, I went to work in a unit at a hospital in Norfolk after military servce. I have worked as a laborer. I drove a truck long haul to make more money leaving the job I loved most helping patients and care giving... I have no criminal record. We (Hope's family), simply are looking for answers, and to know what, where, and then deal with the physical answers of her return.. .
IF YOU have someone missing, advice, or need helpful website info for your loved one, you may email us, or leave a message. I have listed some helpful sites, on 2 pages in Links . Maybe, we can help each other in some way, prayers are welcome Please.
As you use these sites, you will see that the Missing are not covered by national media. People go missing everyday, we only hear about the media one or two... If you know how to get local police to use scent dogs and to conduct field searches, for the area's where she, and others could be, this should be done for all areas where anyone has gone missing. Maybe if more people contacted the Govenors office or State Attorney and Senators, Justice Dept. .. There should be NO unaccounted for, Missing person in the USA, EVER!!.. . It just doesn't make sense.. There thousands of cases.. I just checked, Hope is not listed on the state police site for va. .
For Contact, and helpful Info, See LINKS to the left... .
Because of her untreated bi-polar and seizure disorder, Hope may have had a seizure and memory loss. Hope has been seperated from family, who she dearly loves. After someone separated her from me and her family, these creeps could threaten, beat, or keep her captive. She is bi-polar, she may be to scared to leave. She may have attempted to leave and suffered in such a way as to make her give up.. No matter what, I know Hope is desperate to be home, if she is alive. I feel she is held against her will, or medically incapable of helping herself. Hope needs to be rescued from what ever situation she may be in. We need to know where she is..
Thank you beyond words, to those who care enough to help find Hope Curry. Those others like her, bringing them back to their families, providing answers and info as to what happened, where she is etc. .. May God bless you and your loved ones.. .

VIRGINIA BEACH

Nearly 12 years ago, Hope Renee Curry, 23, walked to a gas station to use a pay phone. She told her brother, who had just moved into a nearby condo, that she was going to invite a friend over for pizza.

She never came back.

Her family watched and waited. Her friends worried.

Twelve years later, they haven't given up. Recently they've begun a renewed push to find out what happened to Curry. They're hanging banners, planning a vigil, raising money for a billboard, and hoping someone might come forward with answers.

"A lot of times it does fall on the family to get them in the press and keep their name out there," said Betty Brown, a volunteer victim's advocate who recently began helping the group. "We started a Facebook community page for Hope, we have people sharing her information all over the place."

Curry disappeared Nov. 11, 2000. She had attended Green Run High School but never graduated, said Tiffany Limpert, Curry's best friend. (more
