Distinguishing Characteristics: African-American female. Black hair, brown eyes. Mallard wears eyeglasses with prescription lenses and gold frames. She normally wore her hair pulled back into a ponytail at the time of her 1996 disappearance. Mallard has a scar on her upper left shoulder.
Clothing/Jewelry Description: A blue t-shirt with lettering on the front, jeans, white tennis shoes and a blue fanny pack with yellow lettering.
Medical Conditions: Mallard has been diagnosed with clinical depression and is required to take medication to treat her condition. She may not have had her prescription with her at the time of her disappearance. Mallard also has a learning disorder and is slow to understand verbal communications. She is classified as disabled.


Details of Disappearance

Mallard was employed at Can-Do Dog Grooming on Fairbanks Drive in El Paso, Texas in 1996. She arrived for work at 7:00 a.m. on October 2, 1996. Mallard was scheduled to meet her stepfather for lunch, but she worked past the appointed time and never called him. Mallard left work at approximately 1:00 p.m. and walked to the corner of Dyer Street and McCombs Street to catch a bus to her residence. She was carrying a blue grocery bag at the time of her disappearance. She was seen by several witnesses at the bus stop, but investigators do not believe Mallard boarded a bus. She has never been heard from again.

On 10/02/96 Donald Mallard, Kimberlee Ann Mallard’s father, reported that his daughter had not returned home. He last saw Kimberlee when he dropped her off at about 6:30 am on October 2nd, 1996 at the Smith’s Grocery Store in the Rushfair Shopping center. Kimberly was employed at Can Do Dog Grooming at 5320 Fairbanks and went into work at 7:00 am. She was supposed to have lunch with her step-father, Arthur Corsair, but apparently worked a little late and never called him to pick her up. Kimberlee left work around 1:00 p.m. and walked to the area of Dyer and McCombs where she was to take a bus home. She was seen at the bus stop by various people but apparently did not board a bus home. Kimberlee suffers from Clinical Depression and has a chemical imbalance for which she takes medication. She also has a learning disorder and slow ability to understand verbal communications.
