((OOC: I wasn't really pleased with my post so I decided to do it again with a bit more detail. Sorry for the inconvenience. Enjoy))
The doors to the Great Hall stood wide open. Serena Dolens took long, powerful strides into the large room. Her straight, dark brown hair brushed against her cheeks, flowing behind her. Her shoes made loud clicks against the floor, due to the fact that the room was a bit empty. She paused in front of the four long tables, surveying the few students in the Slytherin table. 'Not much going on this morning.' she thought.
Serena wore her long black robes on top of her worn-out jeans and her favorite black shirt with the words "If you can read this then you're too close" printed on it. She carried her gray messenger bag which held her scratchbook, some novels, and her pens and pencils. In her hand she held a leather-bound book with the word "Vampires" on the side.
Her small, bright hazel eyes scanned the other tables before settling it upon Ravenclaws'. Finding it deserted she sighed. She walked towards it. Swinging her arms at her sides, she found a spot to sit at in the middle of the long table. She plopped down, bringing her leather-bound book wide open in front of her. Serena reached for a goblet and sipped a bit of its contents. Putting the goblet down she began to read. Everything around her seemed to fade away as she was pulled into the world of vampires.

Serena yawned, stretching one arm while the other covered her mouth. She took a look at her silver watch and found that it was near lunch time. 'Wow I can't believe I lost track of time.' she thought to herself. Glancing at her book she marked her page with a moon shaped metal. Rubbing her neck she placed a plate in front of her and decided to eat. She took a sip from her goblet while letting her eyes scan the Great Hall. There were more people now than this morning.
A few first years scurried past her, making their way to the other side of the Ravenclaw table. She looked at them with a bit of a nasty look in her eyes 'I swear they put a shame in the Ravenclaw name. I can hardly understand why they're even in my house.' She didn't usually think of the first years like this, but this years bunch was just a bit of a mess. She couldn't stand the fact that this little dimwits had managed to get into the house where everyone was considered knowledgeable.
Brushing this thoughts from her mind she once again let her eyes wander off to the other three tables. Slytherin, by far most, seemed to be the only table that contained a few students who looked to be around her age. She looked down at her plate only to shoot her eyes back to Slytherins. There was girl there she had never seen before. "Must be a new student." She mumbled to herself. Serena eyed this golden haired beauty. Surely this girl knew how to attract boys considering the fact that she was sitting in between two handsome slytherins. 'They're Slytherins. They hate people like you.' A voice snarled inside her head. 'But that doesn't prevent me from considering how good-looking they are.' She snapped back.
Coming out of her thoughts she looked at the boys sitting next to the girl. One of them had been there this morning, but the other looked as though he came in with the blonde. She's seen him before around the halls, and in the library. He was far the most good-looking Slytherin she's seen, didn't matter that he had a scar trailing down his cheek. That didn't bother her none. She tried to remember his name, but coming to the conclusion that she's never even heard anyone speak of him. Sighing Serena brought her attention back to her meal. "I shouldn't waste my time on them. I've got better things to do."she said to herself assuringly.
