Slam! Although the shut of the door behind her was almost inaudiable, it seemed as if it were a piercing scream in the quiet library. Her feet tapped the floor as they slowly hit the ground. Why walk fast? She was in no hurry. Her eyes scanned the many shelves that enclosed her. She was looking for a book. A book that she had started the year before. It seemed it would be impossible to find throughout the many shelves, but she might as well try.

Heading down the first row, she let her eyes pass across the books upon the shevles. Picking up a red, tattered book that she thought might be it, she laid it in her hands. The gold lettering on the cover read: 101 Ways to Capture a Pixie. Nope, not it. She replaced the book in it's rightful place as she continued down the row.

Her black curls blocked her view to each of her sides, as she bent down to look at the books on the bottom shelf. Her emotionless green eyes once more scanned the shelf. She could have sworn it was on this shelf. But, more than two months had passed, and who knows what kind of reorganization could have occured durning that time. Sighing, Alodie continued her search. Unable to find the book she was looking for.

The form of a well built seventh year male was casually making his way over towards the area in which Alodie stood. His feet scuffed along the floor falling in rhythm to his lazy strides. He was quite handsome, with positively stunning eyes, consisting of a deep and fierce blue. His hair was a shocking purple and his frame quite muscular. He wore baggy black trousers and a scruffy greyish white shirt that was buttoned up wrong. His tie was yellow and black, the hufflepuff colours, and it was the only item of his clothing that looked reasonably clean, if not a little chewed...

As his deep blue optics wanderd over the area in which he was heading, they seemed to contain an empty, almost distant look, as if life simply had lost its meaning. Perhaps it was simply because he was a little upset? Or maybe there were deeper reasons? Either way he looked lost and a little disheartend. This time it was down to the book he carried within his hands; "Magical Drafts and Potions." He had attempted reading it in some hope of boosting his grade a litte but it had been no use. He simply didn't understand it, plus his attention span was quite short anyway.

Last year he'd basically failed potions, failed most of his classes thinking about it, and now his parents were making him take them all again. His one free fist clenched angrily, which was a great show of uncharacterization on his part. Being a mild-tempered male, he tried not to let things get to him, or more precisely he never outwardly showed that things bothered him. However the thought of having to attend all of the classes for another year maddend him. Why couldn't he just take the few subjects he was good at? ...well reasonably good at. But no instead he was being made to take everything, even the ones he'd failed in. It was stupid.

"'scuse" He said sighed lightly as he waited for the female to move aside so he could put his book away.

Different Love Potions, and How to Make Them. Nope, still not it. For some reason, Alodie thought that maybe she was in the wrong section totally. After all, she couldn't find a book even closely related to the one she was searching for. Hearing footsteps, her eyes didn't even leave the shelves. After all, who knew if they were even heading in her own direction.

But, they were. And as they continued to get louder, Alodie still refused to let her eyes move away from the piles of books. Advanced Potions for the Advanced Witch or Wizard. Still no. She was deffently in the wrong section. But, she might as well catch up on her knowledge of potions before class even started. Picking up the book, she left it lay in her hand, as she once more bent over to look at the lower of the shelves, the book resting on her chest.

Hearing a voice, asking her to move out of her way, Alodie almost did it. But, her Slytherin instincts stopped her. She straightened herself out, her eyes glancing over to the boy who stood before her. Quickly her eyes headed towards his tie. Hufflepuff? She guessed.

"And why should I?"

Her voice turned once more into it's usual rude nature, and her eyes that of their emotionless one. Why should she be polite to this boy? He was, after all, a Hufflepuff.

Keeahn groaned lightly, he wasn't in the mood for silly games, espetially ones that involved childish Slytherins. He just wanted to put his book away and get out of here. The library always seemed to give him headaches, he didn't even have to read a book it wa sjust automatic and he couldn't remain in one for too long. Maybe it was because they made him feel inferior, what with containing so much information whereas his head held very little? Perhaps. Keeahn didn't really worry about it. It wasn't as though he wanted to work in a library when he finished Hiogwarts...

Giving a loud huff he shifted his weight and glanced around for a moment, almost ignoring her, before his dark blue gaze met with the girls once more. He raised a brow, not looking particularly amused. "Are you still there, just move please" He stated more sternly than before. Slytherins didn't seem to understand simple etiquette, Keeahn found it easier to simply have ago at them. "Im trying to put my book away..."

She was getting rather impatient herself. Why was she still standing there? The question is why was he still standing there? Didn't he understand that he wasn't wanted?

"Well then, be my guest."

She said sarcastically, in and exasperated tone. She moved somewhat to the side, placing her arm out as if she were greating him into her house. Leaning back upon the shelves, she watched to see what he would do. Folding her arms across her chest, she held her book close to herself. Her green eyes scanned him for any sign of movement. Why did he have to bother her now? It would take her the rest of the day just to find the book about silly muggle suicides. Why?

Keeahn eyed the girl curiously for a moment, he hadn't been expecting her to move. Quite cautiously he stepped forwards and knelt down shoving his green book upon the very bottom shelf before retreating quite hurridly. When he was a safe distance away from her he starred quite obviously as he began to flatten out his uniform. Keeahn didn't understand Slytherins, let alone girls and didn't bother trying to figure them out. It would only be a waist of time afterall.

Slytherin was his most hated house, it was the most hated house. They only really mixed with eachother whereas the other houses were willing to make friends and converse with those outside of their clans. It was better this way though. How could any normal person ever get along with a slytherin!

She had been friends with some Ravenclaws her first few years of school. Ravenclaw was okay, they were intelligent, and some even purebloods themselves. She also had a friend in Hufflepuff. Had being the key word. But, never a Gryffindor. Never. She had her own clique now. One where everyone knew eachother, and they had a good time. Now, some might think their conversations boring, or even sick-like, but she enjoyed them. It was nice to have friends who were clever and sly. You always found a way to have fun, even in the most boring of times. And, you always had a quick-witted someone to back you up. But, this wasn't the case.

"And where do you think you're going? Not even a thanks."

She said in a cold tone, her eyes locking in with the boy's. She slowly turned her heel, he book now at her said as she slowly, but confidently walked down the row of books. She figured that she would at least give him enough time to reply. After all, he hadn't even said 'thank you', and they always went around claiming Slytherins were the impolite ones. She thought not.

She was right, he hadn't even said thankyou. Where were his manners today? Keeahn mumbled something under his breath but not even he could understand what he had said, and so rather reluctantly he raised his voice.
"Uh thanks..." Keeahn said in his usual lazy tone, pausing briefly as he realised he hadn't learnt her name. Was there any point in asking? She'd probably only tell him 'its none of your buisness.' Thats what most slytherins were like with him. All they had to do was take one look at his Hufflepuff tie and they treated him like dirt.

He scratched the back of his head, still pondering over whether to strike up a conversation. But then what was the point. He was but a mere Hufflepuff, unwanted. They were just the stragglers, the people who didn't fit in anywhere else, or so he rememberd some Slytherin kid saying...

She turned back around to face this boy, a smirk creapting along her thin face. Her eyes looked over the boy, contemplating on even using any more of her time on him. After all, he was a Hufflepuff. Almost worthless.

"Now, now, doesn't that make you feel better?"

She asked, sarcastically. She once more leaned herself along the shelves of books, not once taking her eyes off of his. She casually ran a hand through her black curls, placing them behind her shoulder. Her pale face usually made her look death-like. The blood red lipstick did little to help either.

Why was she still hanging around? Why wasn't she with her own friends? Well, maybe because she didn't know where they are. And, because they would start calling her a geek once more because she was at the library. But, she was searching for a book that wasn't very geek-like. No, in fact it was very interesting. It just funny how muggles commit suicide in these strange ways.

His brow arched ever so slightly and Keeahn folded his arms in a casual manner. "Oh yes because my prior rudeness was just eating away at me wasn't it" He said in a rather dull tone, as if he were growing tired of her company. Still his feet seemed glued to spot. If he were really that bored of her why didn't he just exit the library? It wasn't a place he particularly enjoyed being so why didn't he just leave? Keeahn wasn't sure...

That rather disheartend look remained in his deep blue eyes as they wanderd over the book she was carrying. Oh how he hated books, knollege. The whole learning process was something he didn't enjoy. He'd much rather simply keep failing everything then sitting down and studying for hours upon end. None of it sticked anyway, it was just a waist of time. Maybe he ought to get himself a tutor? Or so someone had suggested. The idea was sensible yes but it was also embarresing so he doubted he'd do it.

The library doors were pushed open once more and two figures enterd. One was the muscular form of a male and the other the slender figure of a female. They were both sixth years and by the colours of their ties it was apparent that they were both Slytherins too.

A pair of mysterious silver eyes scanned the area with a deathly scowl. Those stormcloud orbs wandering over the rows of books and the various students that stood within the room. The male walked forwards, long powerful strides, smart black robe flowing behind him. The boy was quite tall, broad and muscular. His hair was shoulder length, healthy and jet black. A scar could be seen upon his cheek where he'd gotten into abit of a fight, but that had healed long ago.

Braken was unsure if Blair would stay for a moment or two. She hadn't answerd yet. She might have somewhere to be, how did he know? Either way he knew he'd see her again. Unsure of whether he was pleased about this or frightened. All of this 'making friends' buisness was completely new to him. Braken was unsure of how relationships worked. He didn't have any friends other then Blair and it wasn't like he'd ever been close to any of his family. He was just going by gut instinct, and so far it had served him reasonably well.

"You gonna help me find these books? Or have you got other places to be?" He asked in his usual smooth tone as he looked down at Blair, the beautiful blonde female who stood at his side.

Blair stepped into the library and looked around. She saw a few people looking at books and some studying. One of the students who was looking at books was cute, but had purple hair. That was something she couldn't stand. Anyway, Blair didn't 'adore' the library, but she didn't really mind coming here.

"No, I don't have any place I need to be right now. I can help, I guess," Blair answered, calmly. She walked over towards Braken, as she ran her fingers through her silky golden blonde hair. She leaned effortlessly agaisnt a bookself. "So what are we looking for?" Blair asked him, looking straight at him.

Braken ran his hand along the rim of a shelf, silver eyes flickering as they jumped from book to book. He read the names of each within seconds and was now moving onto the next shelf. It was obvious by the pace he passed over these books, that he'd grown very used to hunting them down over the years. He did spend alot of time in the library afterall, infact most of his time. He even had his own little table and chair where others had grown used to not sitting. Ofcoruse once a year he had to scare off the first years, but that was no problem. He merely towerd over them and snarled.

Pulling out one book he rudely thrust it into Blairs arms for her to hold. It was a rather tatterd brown book reading "Muggles who know" in small gold print. Still his hand trailed acorss the shelves, attention once more upon the many compact books.
"Apparently..." Braken began, finally speaking up. "Theres a good book about Muggle suicides out. It should be in this section..." He mutterd, bending down as he now began to go over the very bottom rows. Braken had tried to get the book out before but somebody always seemed to have it. Usually fellow slytherins.

"Then..." He continued, glancing to Blair momentarily, the look in his misted silver eyes saying he appreciated her helping out. "I need 'Potions for the Advanced- Volume 5' and thats it...for now" He mutterd as he now stood up and took afew paces back. The book obviously wasn't on that row as he now shifted to the opposite bunch of shelves.

Blair took the book that Braken had thrusted into her arms and went to search for one of the other books. She chose a bookself and began scanning. Potions 101. Nope. Difficult Potions for the Experienced Wizard. That wasn't it either. Blair finally gave up, not finding the book Braken needed. She sat down and leaned against the bookcase. She rummaged through her Burberry handbag and pulled out some M.A.C. lipgloss. She applied a shimmer coat and stod back up again. Blair walked coolly and calmly back over to where Braken was looking. "I couldn't find either books over there," she told him, motioning towards the area that she had just checked. "How's your search coming along?" she wondered outloud.

Keeahn watched as more students enterd the library. One male and one female. The male however, looked slightly familiar. Keeahn couldn't quite put his finger on it though and so continued without a further thought on the matter.

"Just my luck" He mutterd to himself as his deep blue orbs fell upon their ties. "Slytherins" Keeahn mumbled as he now glanced to the student he'd been conversing with before. For all he knew she could know them, and he didn't want to end up in a big slang match. Espetially when he was out numberd. And so he simply retreated down one of the isle's, the other two slytherins too close to the door for him to exit safely.
