The hotel was good, the food was good... so why did she feel cruddy? Lox welcomed the sudden use that 'the voice' had found for her. She was one of his creations, so it was up to him whether or not she actually did anything.
Life in Arudyl was boring. She had her senate work, and she had the lakeside scene, but she longed for the kind of action they had on Rue. The voice was preoccupied with college though, and had less time for interaction. So Lox was mostly forgotten about.
She was petite, with dark hair and an oriental look about her. Her family had come from the Jade Empire origionally, but they now lived in Anoriquae, or what was left of Anoriquae. The Old Ones had not just destroyed Aerisca, but every other nation on Eard, too! Convinced that the answer to her woes was traditional human quisine, Lox took a seat at the bar and ordered some Chips. It was a food rarely served in her home city, so she relished the oppertunity, gazing around the room whilst her food was being served...
((Open to everyone! Join in pleases, I haven't used Lox in over a year. Shes' fabby))

What curious magic that girl uses Lox thought to herself. There wasn't much call for electricity in Arudyl, no-one used it except for air mages, and only then in offensive spells. Everything was powered by magic, anyway. With her chips (americans call them fries) in hand, she went over to impose herself upon the girl. Hopefully she spoke the same language...
"Hello, my name is Lox, have you been sent here to take part in the awards?" Her accent was thick, it sounded like it was from eastern europe, almost Russian. Whilst Lox' native language was similar, it was also completely different.

"Me also, finding this dimension was difficult but the voice gave me excellent directions," She smiled happily. This was the first new person she had spoken to in month. The survivors of the demon attack in Arudyl were all too traumatised to talk much, 'cept for Lox "Would you like some human food? Its made from potatoes I think..."
She offered a chip from the plate, it was at this point that it became obvious that Lox wasn't entirely human. She had a human shape, but her skin had a slight purple tint from her darkness magic, and her eyes were an odd mixture of sky blue and violet.
Also her ears were pointy like an elf.

Lox smiled happily and nibbled on a chip. It was hot, so she had to eat it slowly. The taste instantly relaxed her, and she began to babble randomly "I have seen fire mages eat these straight from the oil, they are so hot that they cause normal people to blister, but firelings can do crazy things and not get hurt. They can also smoke without getting lung sickness... which I think is unfair, as the rest of us still get it from passive smoking," She loved the common tongue, too.
"I am sorry for talking too much. Allow me to introduce myself properly, I am Lox Lory, Senator for the city of Rellion in the Northern Territories of Anoriquae" She placed a fist over her heart, this was how they introduced themselves in her country, "On the plant Eard" she added, as an afterthought.

"Oh, so are you from this world?" Lox loved magic. Eard was infamous for it, almost everything relied on the life force flowing from the gods to their people. There were a few non mages left, but even they used magic in their everyday lives.

"Oo! Then maybe my magic will work here too! I had to come from a different dimension, the spell was hard to cast, but I had help from my goddess," She pulled an Amulet out from under her top. Before she left, Rueya had given her clothing from this planet, so she wouldn't stand out when walking on its streets. The amulet was small and golden, and had the mark of Xzusia, goddess of unseen magic.
"Where I am from, interdimensional travel happens all the time. Sometimes we have strange humans who can cast magic only through wands, they love to watch our mages work, and study at the universities. They never stay long though, always scared that someone called Voldor will follow, or something like that..."
Lox now realised that she wasn't sure why she was babbling, and hoped that it would stop soon.

"Yes, so they say. Voldor Mort. Thats what they said his name was" She managed to stop the flow of babble now. And restricted herself to baiting questions "So does your magic stone play music? The one you were playing with when you came in"

"Fascinating! Is this magictech? What powes it? Where does it come from?" Technology was something which the people of Anoriquae were famous for loving. Their cities were far more advanced than the other nations of Eard, and their Capitol made Rue (the most famous city on Eard) look like a backwards slum.
She did not respond to the reaction caused by mentioning the man's name. She assumed it was a man, it was a very masculine name for a woman, but she made a note not to mention it again.
It seems that Volder Mort is this planet's equivalent of Urandis... he is evil, but sexy...
