I don't think we'll see an openly atheist president in America for a looooooooong time, at least not in our lifetimes anyway. America is still a deeply religious place, although social stigmas on being atheist is slowly but surely declining.

They'd probably do what most atheists do in a largely religious society, which is to ignore the primitive customs :D

I do like cathedrals, however.

Primitive customs? Like burning homosexuals on stakes, sacrificing animals or stoning witches to death? Or like going to church on sunday, working, going to school and hanging out with friends, primitive? Please be specific with your insults ^_^
