this would be another one of those "lets all play sro and grind together blah blah blah" threads, but that never works out.

basically, sro is an amazingly fun game if your capped or close to it. its 10x more fun when theres people to play with that you know.

its not like WoW and some other mmo's where you can get capped in a few weeks. sro takes a good amount of time to get high lvl but id say its worth it. the PVP is great and the skills you can use look awesome, guild war's require a bit of strategy and are a good time, AND thieving is fun as hell (watch this for an example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ey2d5u-ufQ ). of course you could also be a trader or a hunter (hunters protect the traders, traders go from city to city with expensive goods, thieves rob the traders)

if you've played silkroad before you'll know a few negative things about it. they're most likely server traffic and the amount of exp needed to lvl up.

well sro has a new way of logging in where you skip the little security code after pressing connect. with the new login system and a loader(lets you keep connecting instead of disconnecting after server traffic message), you can attempt to connect over 2 times per minute. usually youll get in within the first few minutes.

next is the extremely long leveling time. like i said, sro is a long term game, theres plenty of things to do but it takes time to lvl up. the easiest way to deal with this is botting. about 99% of the sro community bots and joymax doesnt ban you for it. you may be thinking "oh why have a game if a bots going to play it for me?" well an easy way to answer that is, bot overnight, when at school, any time you dont feel like playing. that way youll be gaining exp without wasting any time. grinding isnt what sro is about, pvp and jobbing is. bots do the dirty work and you get to do the fun stuff.

my main goal from this post is to try to get enough people into sro that eventually when we're all high level, we can create our own guild nd join a strong union. like i said its super fun when your with ppl u know.

You caught my attention. First of all a few questions before I download.

1. Is the game highly repetitive and does it call to repeat a certain task in order to excel in an area?

2. Does it lag your pc a lot and could a descent computer run it?

3. Does it require like 10 yrs of experience to be good at it?

4. Is it an extremely complex game?

5. What's the fighting like? Like builds and abilities and what not.

6. Any other extra shit I should know?

I'm thinkin bout getting into an mmo because I can't find any good ones now adays.. I raped runescape to death. Guild Wars sucked dick. Wow is just wow..... maplestory looks like some gay ass animal crossing shit... and theirs a lot of other junk out their and I just don't feel like looking through em.

or Sro. Both are good. Sro is very fun too, the PvP is fun, and job hunting is too, skills=win. It takes some knowledge, it's not that hard to get used to though. And if you have a crappy computer you can run it pretty well lol.

1. yea alot of people do. the servers are almost always full, the capacity is 3500 slots per server. of course thousands of those are clientless gold bots. there are still a large ammount of actual players that play tho.

2. pvp is both 1v1 and group. there are atacks that can hit multiple people and ones that hit a single person (or monster). there are buffs that are used in a party of people as well.

as for the actual fighting, ill show you some expamples:

fortress war- a server wide battle every thursday morning to gain control of a large fortress. the occupying union can control taxing on goods bought in the city Jangan.

guild war- an agreed war between 2 guilds for a set amount of time. guilds get points for killing the other guild's members.

pvp- when wearing a cape, you can fight others wearing capes. sometimes people fight in groups but mostly they 1v1.

job wars- when you choose eith hunter, trader, or thief, you will be fighting against the opposite class. to take down an entire trade that includes atleast 1 trader and some hunters, youll usually need more than 1 thief. this results in a job war.

spart and -MI-AzN are making bladers but dont know anything about it so i made this in a few mins to explain stuff a bit on how to start out. SOME OF IT may be a little off. im not in sro right now and am not an expert with bladers.

theyve chosed pure str bladers, since theyre new to sro i gave them a very standard simple build.

my bot doesnt work so i dont play anymroe lol

if i figure out wtf is up with it maybe ill start playin again

o... i use some bot with a proxy that lets me connect every like 2 seconds lol
