: characters and registration ;

• Member usernames should be the name of the character that you wish to portray. A username will consist of a first name and surname using the proper punctuation and spelling. Using a middle name for in your username is prohibited. All usernames should have proper spacing and should be easy to read; you'll have to register in proper grammar style. And please, please, please do not use any form of net and/or leet speak in your username. If your username is deemed unacceptable, the administration will change it without your consent and you will be notified of the change via email.

• One character is to be roleplayed within one account. Sounds simple enough, right? If you have more than one character, you should have more than one account for said characters. Capiche?


» For the time being, a person is permitted to have no more than four characters. We don't want you to be getting in over your head in characters. If you can prove that you can keep control of your characters and have excellent activity on the board, we will invite you to create more characters if you so desire to.


• We need to keep the ratio of characters even. If we notice that there are more female characters than male characters, we will close registration of female characters until more male characters are created. This will also apply to character cliques. If there are more populars than anyone else, we will make sure that people create characters that belong in other cliques before we re-open registration for the populars.


» Please make sure that your characters are in no way related to each other. If I play a female vampire, I sure as hell don't want to play her brother. That would be both a waste of time and a waste of inspiration. If you need a character to complete a family or plot idea, post it in the a character seeking forum. I'm sure someone will be glad to help you out.

: signature, avatars, and graphics ;

• Once you have registered and your character has been approved by a staff member, your first stop is over to the "Face Claim" thread. Be sure to post in the format provided there to claim your character's playby so that no one else can take it. The only characters that may have the same play-bys are identical twins and/or triplets. However, the likelihood of identical siblings is very slim, so please keep that in mind.


» We ask kindly that you provide your account on the board with an avatar and a signature of some sort that includes graphical representation of your character. It not only makes the board look good, but it gives you a chance to show off your graphic talents. A signature is not required, but an avatar is. That's not too much of us to ask.


• Avatars can be uploaded through a hosting website [such as Photobucket, TinyPic, or ImageShack] or uploaded in the Avatar section of your account. All avatars are restricted to 100 pixels [w] x 100 pixels [h].


» Signatures can be a combination of avatars or just one blended image. A character's signature should not exceed 500 pixels by 300 pixels so that the board will not be stretched. If you use avatars for your signature, you may have a maximum of four across and two down.

: roleplaying ;

• A user has the right to leave a topic either opened to everyone on the board, or closing it to certain people. If there are certain people that you would like to post in the topic please be sure to put {Tag;; Users here} in the topic description. Make sure to add all of the users you want to post in the topic. Any user posting in a closed topic that they were not included in will receive a warning.


» Power playing and Godmoding will not be tolerated at all. You are not allowed to control a users' characters' actions, words, or thoughts. It's rather annoying when it happens. You don't have godly powers to do this so don't do it.


• When posting a new topic or replying to one, be sure to post at least two to three paragraphs. Two to three paragraphs should be really easy and we should ask for more but we aren't. It gets really irritating for users who take time and make good posts for another user to just come and post one-liners. The minimum a post should be is 10-20 sentences. New roleplayers are not expected to do this and we understand if you have writer's block, we all get it. But, no one has writer's block every day.


» When replying to a topic, please make sure that you use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. It gets kind of annoying if someone has to read through a post and it isn’t readable.


• Out Of Character conversations should be kept in the General forums. If you need to say something in your post then please be sure to use {OOC: TEXT HERE}, [OOC: TEXT HERE], (OOC: TEXT HERE), or anything else as long as it has OOC in it.


» Do not double post. It gets really annoying when it is done. The edit button is your friend. If you double post accidentally, find an admin [*points to sidebar*] and ask one of them [nicely] to remove the double post.


• No spamming is allowed. Spam is considered posts with one word in them or things such as that. This is permitted in the games forum but nowhere else.

: sexual content ;

» For your information, this board has a rating of NC-17 to R. If you don't like it, then leave or don't even register. This is an intermediate-advanced roleplaying board that includes violence, swearing, drugs, and sexual content. There may be things on here that you might not enjoy but we have warned you. These things happen in real life and we're not going to stop it just because you don't like it.


• Sexual content is allowed but please do the following. If there will be sexual content happening, an indicator in the topic description IS REQUIRED. We wouldn't want younger users stumbling into a sex scene on accident, now would we?


» Homosexual / Bisexual / Heterosexual relationships may take place.

: the extras ;

• Please keep all advertisement in the Advertising forum. No links should be placed anywhere else on this forum besides the Advertising forum.


» Respect everyone on this board. If you wish to get respected then you must respect others. No one is better than anyone else on this board so please respect one another.


• We ask you to please stay as active as possible. We really want this site to work and in order for that to work, we need members to stay as active as possible. The secret phrase is just another perfect day. If we see that an account has not been active for 3 days, then you will receive an e-mail from an admin giving you a warning. If you have not returned in ONE week, then your account will be deleted. Please PM an Admin or post in the proper forum if you will be going away so that we know you have a reason.


» Please do not come on here and start picking fights. It gets really annoying when members register and the first thing they do, is start a fight with another member. Fights between characters are ok. But, if you're going to be fighting with a member personally, we ask you to please take care of it off the site. Go on another site and fight but don't do it here.


• Somewhere, hidden, within the rules is a password that you will need to find and post in your application before it will even be accepted by a staff member.


» The chatbox is not meant for fights and cursing, so please watch what you say in there. Advertising links is not permitted in the chatbox because there is already a forum for advertising and affliation with sweetlittleLIES.


• If you joined before 09/08/08, there is no secret word. If you joined on or after this date, a word/phrase has been added to the rules. Don't forget to find it.
