Something I've always wanted was A generational/inheritance system where Sims could get emotionally attached to something like their first career reward,a painting or even the house . Then if the item gets stolen/sold or they move there would distress them and they get a "get back" option where "hire a Private Investigator" or "Hunt down thief" options pop up . Then you would have 3 chance cards to get it back tied to trait sets . so a creative outdoors man might have a chance card with set trap or ambush where a Klepto conversationalist might have pick pocket or talk to which would be weighted against the thief's traits to determine the outcome.there would be 20 possible chance cards per Sim based off 2 of your traits at random.
The inheritance idea would be where an elder Sim could "hand down" an item giving it sentimental value to the receiving Sim and boost its monetary value including things like their ring which couldn't be sold but could be lost while cleaning things like the dresser or sink
