Mary-Lynnette shivered lightly against the wind that was desperatly trying to get threw her thin jacket. It was working. Tonight was colder than it had been the last week. Why she was on her way to the mine walking thrwe the forest was only something that she knew. A few friends of hers had said that there was a child haunting the mines. She didn't believe it and she had been dared to go spend the night in there by herself. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she came to the entrance. She was desperatly missing Ash right now and it hurt so much to be away from him. It felt as if her heart was splitting in two. She wanted him there with her right now. She didn't want to be alone as she looked at the foreboding entrance to the abandoned mine. It was supposed to be a dangerous place with collapsed tunnels and places where you could easily fall even farther under ground. A small shriek escaped Mary-Lynnette's lips as she fell threw the ground and two another floor. She almost landed on her feet but her legs didn't want to hold her after her fall and she landed in a heap of tangled limbs. She sat up to look up at the star and moon light that was coming threw the hole in the ground she had just made. She sighed deeply before she stood up and winced at the pain in her ankle. She had definatly twisted it. She rolled her eyes and decided that she didn't want to stay here any longer. The dare she was given be damned. Her life was much more important that a stupid dare. Ash would be very angry with her if she died down here. Which was exactly why she didn't plan on dieing.

The sound of her foot steps echoed threw the mine as she limped her way deeper into the mine trying to find her way out. Her backpack was weighing her down and now her knee's where covered in the dirt and dust that built up in the mine. She sneezed slightly as the dust started to bother her nose. She rolled her eyes again before she stopped to catch her breath. When she finally heard it. Something or someone was following closly behind her. Mary-Lynnette froze in pure terror before slowly turning around to come face to face with a giant black wolf. Werewolf. That was all the registered to Mary-Lynnette's mind. Her eyes widened as she started to back away from the thing that had been following her. The werewolf took two steps for every one that she took. Mary-Lynnette's mind was only screaming one thing. Run. Which was what she did. She turned and ran a pained gasped coming every time she used her right foot. She didn't get very far before she was knocked to the ground the werewolf tearing into her backpack. She gasped again as she was picked up and shaken about as the werewolf tried to get to her. She easily slipped her arms out of the straps to her backpack and rolled away and got to her feet again and started running. She gave a thankful smile as she spotted a little crevice in the wall that looked like it went back a few feet, it was big enough for her to fit threw not so much for the werewolf.

Mary-Lynnette, just mad it into the crevice and eased herself in, but just before she managed to get far enough in she felt claws in her back and dragged all the way across. She gasped in pain before she hurried and eased herself all the way back and out of reach from the werewolve's paws. Mary-Lynnette felt faint as she smelt her own blood. She shook her head to try to clear it, before her eyes widened once again. The Werewolf was not digging at the side of the crevice to try to make it bigger. He would eventually get to her and kill her. Mary-Lynnette, felt tears in her eyes before she frowned. She was not going to die here. She opened her mouth and screamed the one name she hoped would be able to know that she needed him. "Ash!" She desperatly prayed that he would come for her. She was so utterly terrified that she didn't know what she was going to do. She had nothing to defend herself with. Nothing at all. She surely was going to die. There was no possible way that Ash was in Briar Creek. He hadn't shown his face to her since the day he had left. She would be eighteen so very soon and then she would join Circle Daybreak with him. She needed him so badly right now and she felt even worse for having sent him away. "Please I need you.." She whispered softly before starting to cry heavily. She didn't want to die. She didn't want to never see Ash again. To tell him how much she loved him. She wanted to do so many more things but that was the main one. And now she wouldn't get the chance.

It was as if he had never left. What Ash remembered clearly was the boiling hot sun that pounded down upon his light blond head giving him the worst headache, yet it was almost soothing to have that sort of heat upon his pale skin. The sun of course had a different effect on vampires, taking away the telepathy power they held and most of their powers. What Ash also remembered was the heat in which came also when at night, yet tonight there was a breezy chill that almost made him feel defiantly comfortable then the nights he had been there. His current green eyes gazed over the bright stars that glowed up the skies for him, yet they focused clearly on the ranch house that gave him butterflies almost to even be looking upon it. Ash slid his fingers through his shaggy ash blonde hair and looked back up towards the sky, it being so beautiful and reminding him one of beauty that had showed him the joys of looking at stars. That beauty lived right in the house that sat right infront of him, his lone form stood on the dusty road that seemed to stretch on for miles. He could hear clearly the town that was just down the road, the small little plot that was Briar Creek quite yet the locals always found themselves in the pub. Ah, humans – a species that was coming more into his life by the minute. It had been a year exactly since he had been here to find his sister and in that found a joy of his own. Of course at the usual thought of his love his heart when pang and with that he was more eager to get his business done and to go find her. It was amazing to how he could remember every detail about her, even with it being so long. Mary Lynnette literally meant everything to him, but showing emotion was of course shown as some sort of weakness? Of course it was, and with living in the night world he had to be careful not to show that emotion that wished to leak from him and swallow every ounce of love that was in the world. Ash often felt to over whelmed with his feelings for his soul mate, but knew it was foolish to let them spring all over the place like others did at circle daybreak. He was mature and strong, and had earned the reputation as the sly one, not the one who showed love. But wasn’t he trying to lose that reputation? Of course.
<p>
Sighing deeply as he blinked of course out of habit and even felt the colour of his eyes change to a deep violet, he clutched the bouquet of flowers in his hand and ran his fingers once again nervously threw his hair. Ash had come a far way from the man he had once been, he had changed so much and it was all for the brunette with the soft eyes that he remembered. She was waiting on him with one condition, and he had spent a year saying sorrys and redeeming himself from the pain and problems he had caused throughout most of his life. He had to go back to her when he had made a better man out of himself – and now finally, he knew that Mary-Lynnette would be proud to be with a vampire like him. After taking a deep breath he began to walk down the little path that led up to his soul mates front door, his breathing kept in his chest as he remembered the first time he had been walking down that path. Ash had come to Briar Creek to bring home his sisters and to find out information on what their plans were, only doing that by finding the humans they were already involved with and asking questions. That was how he had met Mary-Lynnette, that was the first time he had felt the electric connection and had even considered what they were. It had taken Rowan around two seconds to figure out that they were soul mates, and it had crossed his mind the first time he had touched her yet he had tried to deny it to himself. Of course now he held the fact that he had a soul mate with pride – he loved her, so much with all his heart that despite not wanting to sound soppy, he could only describe her in the words of a love sick puppy.
<P>
In that Ash lazy manor he knocked on the door without hesitation, taking his time to knock as that cocky grin played on his lips. His eyes turned to that golden yellow as he waited to hear the sound of footsteps from within the house. It was late of course, yet he knew perfectly well that his love always stayed out late watching the stars. For a moment as he heard no noise but sleeping breaths, he wondered if she was out watching the stars, yet another more paranoid thought came across him. Last time he had left a werewolf Jeremy had just been killed, they were all getting over it, especially seeing as Jeremy had knocked Ash out, tried to kill him and forced Mary-Lynnette to have to kill him. That took a lot for her and he admired her, yet it had put her off seeing the stars from a vampires eye. He wanted her to be a vampire, but she didn’t want to leave behind her human life. He wasn’t going to push, he promised her, yet he wanted to be with her forever. After a moment of no answer and no sound of footsteps, Ash frowned, doing what he did best and reaching out with his mind to feel the minds around him. He felt Mark, he felt her father and his girlfriend....But no Mary-Lynnette. Frowning again he pushed that barrier, but before he could even reach her usual hill spot, her heard the piercing scream of his name. He knew it was her, he knew she was in danger; and that meant enough for him to forget everything and run back out. The flowers hit the front step of her house and in a flash he was out the gate and running down the road at that unbelievable vampire speed, heading for the mines where he knew she was. He could feel her there, feel her panic and that she was scared – it was enough to make him panic, it was enough for him to risk his life to stop how she felt.
<P>
The mines were dark yet the blond didn’t waste time – in a matter of minutes he was ripping the broken wood from the cave entrance and running in. Everything was dark yet his eyes adjusted fine, it almost as if he held a light, lighting up everything as he ran deeper and deeper into the mine. He smelt wolf and that was enough to send questions spinning into his mind. Was there more werewolves in the area? How many? Where? He had to sit the questions down as he followed the scent deeper, Ash only paused when he saw the messed up backpack, in a furious manor that scent his eyes pure silver he punched out with a growl and sent rocks falling. He proceeded down the mine, finally finding the wolve trying to scratch and rip its way into the small crevice of rocks where Mary-Lynnette was. The wolve noted Ash’s presence and with a violent snarl it turned, Ash’s eyes flaring and his fangs extending down like a true predator. He hated wolves – very very much. “You don’t have any wood on you do you?” even when in the serious of moments Ash always delivered sarcasm. The wolf snarled and lunged, in one swift moment Ash had his head right in his palms and with a swift flick of his wrists the were’s neck snapped. “Good. That makes it easier to kill you.” dropping the body of the black wolf to the floor, Ash panted as he just stood there frozen, fangs going back and his eyes taking on that dark brown colour which took out every part of white in his eyes. He took a moment to breath, finally coming back and stepping over the wolf. Was Mary-Lynnette hurt? Worry coursed threw him as he peered into the small crevice of rocks that she had wedged herself into, he wanted her safe, he wanted her in his arms. “Babe, its safe to come out now. The wolf gone, It’s just me and you.” absently he reached out with his hands, into the place where she was wedged in the rocks. “Its me Mary-Lynnette...its Ash.”

Mary-Lynnette was starting to give up hope but then she heard the wolf stop trying to dig toward her. She released a sigh of relief and then the fear flooded threw her again. It meant that someone else was in danger. Mary-Lynnette was about to leave the crevice when she heard a voice. It was male and it instantly made her shrink back as far as she could into the crevice. Then the voice registered to her mind. But it couldn't be. There was no possible way. Then she heard a sickening crack and knew that the wolf was dead. Then there was a hand reaching into the crevicce towards her. It was definatly Ash. He was here and he had just saved her life. Mary-Lynnette almost cried with relief as she took Ash's hand and slipped from the tiny crevice and she was instantly in his arms. "You saved me.. You really came and saved me..."
She whispered softly as she burried her face into his chest. She couldn't believe that this was really happening that the love of her life was here now and he had just saved her. Mary-Lynnette felt all the love that she had for him and had tried to burry away come rushing back full force. It seemed to want to knock her over with the force of her love, yet she stayed upright and protected in his arms.

After a few minutes of clinging to Ash's shirt and her face burried in his chest, Mary-Lynnette managed to look up at him. At the beautifully handsome face that hadn't changed since the last time she had saw him. Except for the softness. He didn't look angry or hateful at everything anymore. He was definatly the man of her dreams and she loved him so very much. In the next moment a frown replaced the smile that had been on her face. "What in the world are you doing here!" She said pushing away from him. She completly forgot about her twisted ankle and whimpered as she fell over to her knee's. Mary-Lynnette didn't realize how exstensive her wounds actually where, blood had soaked her tee-shirt and was still flowing. Mary-Lynnette managed to get to her feet but she felt very weak. So very weak.

The smell of blood was heavy in the air and Mary-Lynnette knew that it was her own. From where the werewolf had gotten ahold of her back. Her body was in shock that was probably why she couldn't feel it. Mary-Lynnette had the worst head rush and she almost pitched forward and almost lost her footing. She sighed deeply and a groan of pain passed her lips. She knew however bad the gashes on her back where they where definatly not going to stop bleeding on their own. "Ash I need your help.." She swalled before she almost fell forward again. She couldn't help it as she grabbed ahold of his shoulders to keep herself standing. "Is it true that by making me a vampire right now, you can save my life. Because without immediate attention Ash, i'm going to die. I'm loosing alot of blood and I can't make it to a hospital on my own. So your either gonna have to, turn me or get me to a god forsaken hospital."

She was leave the option open for him right now, though she wasn't so certain that she wanted to become a vampire. She didn't know if this was what she truly wanted. She wanted to be with Ash, she was certain of that. But was she really prepared to give up her human life for him. Then the answer came flooding back to her. Yes she would definatly give up everything for him. She hadn't been sure a year ago. But they had been away from each other a whole year now and she didn't want to be without him any longer. She was ready to be with him. Forever.

To miss someone was a concept that in his past, Ash would have never thought possible. But when leaving Briar creek a year ago he defiantly had felt a change which caused him to want to be a better person. At first he had tried to push the feelings down in a formal manor and not speak to anyone about what he felt for his soul mate. But of course he couldn’t hide what he felt. Circle daybreak was full of soul mates and they all knew what he was going through without him even having to mention a word. The words of his cousin James rang in his head and he had to give James that, someone had come into his life and it did hurt. Not having Mary-Lynnette in his life had pained him so much that missing her had gotten to points where he was debating dragging himself down there just to be with her again. But after a year did she still want him? At that moment he felt a painful stab of wonder and somewhat sadness, did she remember what it was like to be with her soulmate? There wasn’t a day where he forgot, but after all, she was human unlike him... Others at circle daybreak had been confused as to why he was there alone without her, but he had simple told them all that she was waiting for him until he became a better person. He had become a better person and he prayed to any god out there that she still was waiting for him. Ash understood that a year was defiantly a long time to wait, but she had said a year and now it was time for them to be together again.
<p>
It wasn’t so much that the people in circle daybreak were judging, but once they saw someone with the mansion a hell of a lot of gossip did spread around the entire circle including the night world. He didn’t have a clue how the night world could know who had joined the daybreakers or not, but some how they did, and that was a worry to Thierry. The moment Ash had come back from Briar Creek the first time he had tried to hide his feelings, then giving up as his cousin led him to Thierry. Ash knew of the lord of the night world, but was amazed to see that he was more on the side of the light then the darkness. People sure had been shocked to see the blond there, and of course in a stubborn manor he had just sulked down and never said a word. He attended all the meetings and of course went along with everything that was said, but it was only a few months in of him being there that he actually started to get comfortable. He rarely spoke to anyone and was forever liking being alone, and all the same his cousin James was gloating it up that his cousin was alone with out his soul mate, because anyone could tell that it truly did hurt him to be away from her. When being a vampire you had way better hearing that the humans, and stupidly they seemed to underestimate that fact. Ash had over heard two humans talking about him – asking why in the world he was here and who in the world would love him? They had ruled out that he had a soul mate, and so when Poppy, despite that she hated Ash had told them other wise, they were more than shocked not to believe her. It almost upset Ash to know that others thought he was a heartless creature unable to love, and so that was almost a push in the right direction to being good. He kept alone in the mansion and wished for his soul mate to be there so bad, and with wanting that it made him want to be better to see her sooner. The fact that she was right there in front of him now didn’t really register, not until his eyes adjusted and he saw her face. In that moment he wanted to cry with joy.
<p>
She was just like how he remembered. Always did the lanky vampire walk around with images of her in his mind, and he was always ringing his sister Rowan to ask how she was. It did strike jealousy that his sister were able to see his soul mate every day, but soon enough it would be him with her and not them. His sister had made a bound with the human but she was made to be with him, like he was forever going to be hers. His deep black eyes caught the beautiful face he loved so much, and yet even though he could tell she was a little bashed up she was still beautiful. He could smell blood which sent a hungry nerve down to his stomach, but Ash was full, he had fed on the way there, in no way did he wish to harm his soul mate in spite of him being hungry. The thought of her being hurt sent a shiver down him, and feeling utterly worried he reached out and touched her, wrapping his arms around her shoulder as he brought her closer to him out of the little crevice. Instantly he wrapped her up in himself, stroking the soft brown hair, his cheek pressed to hers as he breathed unevenly. He had waited so long to be with her, and now she was here, drenched in blood and sending so much worry into him he was sure his hair was going to fall out at any moment. “Of course i did. I wasn’t going to let that flea bag hurt you.” it was true, Ash wasn’t going to let anyone harm Mary-Lynnette. He did wonder why in the world a werewolf was in Briar Creek attacking his girlfriend and soul mate, but then again he now had a lot of questions to ask and most he wasn’t going to get answers. What he knew was there was defiantly more werewolves in town, and that worried him for his sisters and his love.
<p>
For a moment they just clung to each other, his hands slowly stroking her hair in that protecting manor as her face buried into his shirt. After a moment she looked up, and his breathing caught. Slowly that lazy smile crossed his lips, his hands stroking her cheek as he admired her. She was so beautiful. This was the woman he loved, this was the girl he was planning on spending forever with. He wanted to just be with her like that forever, but as a frown crossed her face it crossed his own. She pushed him away, and desperately he tried to cling to her but wasn’t fast enough to catch her elbows as she went down. “Mary-Lynnette!” in a flash he was down with her, holding her up as she tried to get up. She was hurt, and only then did he look down to look at her wounds. She was bleeding....heavily. His mouth opened as he let out a breath, the smell of blood covering her and for a moment he felt dizzy. Blinking as he caught himself, he stood up steadily, his arms holding Mary-Lynnette by her elbows as she tried to stand up. He nodded as she asked for his help – Ash would do anything for her. He seemed to already know what was coming subconsciously, yet it knocked him back when she asked. She wanted....to become like him? There had been a time when he had wanted that so much, but......but he had been away for a year and truly know understood more than just for his personal gain. He didn’t want to take away her humanity, and he knew she wasn’t ready. If she had been fine and not in this position, would she of asked the same? A frown laced his lips and almost he felt broken. He loved her yes but was he willing to take away her life for it? Slowly he held her, making sure she was steady. “Yes, that’s true Mary-Lynnette. But i’m not going to take away your human life just because your injured. I know you like being human....i know your jumping to a conclusion too fast without thinking. I can heal your wounds if you take me blood, but i won’t make you a vampire right at this moment. You need to think about what your leaving behind.” slowly he sat her down, the cave seeming so cold yet it didn’t even touch his skin that way. Slowly he raised his wrist to his mouth and extending his fangs, wincing as he cut his wrist and allowed blood to pour out. There had to be a fair exchange for him to make her a vampire, this way the blood would just heal her wounds and hopefully stop her from bleeding. Smirking as the blood flowed, he looked back up to the girl he loved. “Plus, i think my sisters would kill me.” moving himself closer to her he held out his wrist close to her face. “You need to drink my blood.” he gave her his wrist, pressing her head lightly to his wrist and in a sense hoping that she would drink. If she drank she would heal and live, if not then she was going to lose more blood that at a point changing her would not save her. He didn’t want it to come to that – he had to save her.

    A soft sigh escaped the dieing teens lips as she looked at her soulmate. She didn't know if she could do it. She didn't know if she could drink the blood. She was still human. She didn't need blood to survive. Or well in this case she did, but it was still strange to know that she was still human, but also to know that she would have to drink the blood to survive. A wave of confusion washed over her as she looked up at Ash with love and adoration in her eyes. "If this doesn't work and I do die. I just want you to know that I love you.. I love you Ash Redfern. I hope your happy with a human as a soulmate." She said before she looked at Ash's wrist again that was still dripping blood. She tried not to think of it as Ash's blood but as a life line that would ground her to this earth. As something that would be able to keep her here with Ash. Mary-Lynnette's nose wrinkled in the cute little way that only she could do before she gentley took hold of Ash's wrist as if she would actually hurt him.

    She placed his wrist to her lips and began to drink. The first swallow of the acidic liquid was the hardest. It felt like she had to try to get past a boulder that was blocking her throat, but then it seemed like she was in pure bliss as the next swallow followed. She felt a deep connection spiral between Ash and herself. Something that she hadn't witnessed before. Didn't feel like she needed to open her eyes to gaze at him in her motherly and loving way. He would know the love that she had told him of was real. That she would always love him and there was no changing that fact. Ash and Mary-Lynnette where soulmates, there was no denying that fact and Mary-Lynnette was very well aware that Ash was different from her. That he was a vampire, a lamia vampire while she was just a regular human.

    Mary-Lynnette felt herself become very light headed as it seemed Ashes blood was overwhelming her as she took three more swallows. She instantly pulled away from him and gasped and backed away from him. She breathed deeply and she could feel the wounds in her back slowly begining to heal. Blood slowly dripped down from the corner of her mouth and down her chin to the floor below as Mary-Lynnette tried to catch her breath. She hoped she had taken enough because she didn't think she could do that again any time soon. She had felt so overwhelmed. So out of control with swallowing his blood, she found herself gasping for breath in fear that she had hurt him. She quickly evened out her breath as she looked at Ash. She raised her hand to wipe away the blood on her chin before she looked back at him. She scooted back towards him before she curled up into his arms. She felt safe with him here with her. As if she didn't have anything to worry about. There was nothing else that mattered to her except Ash in this moment in time. "I'd give up everything for you..." She whispered softly.

    She was telling him the truth. To Mary-Lynnette life was meaningless unless Ash was in it. She loved him so very much that she couldn't even describe it even if she had been William Shakespeare. Words where not something that could describe how she felt for Ash. Ash Redfern, was the only man she would ever love in her life and she would never ever let him go again. Enough time had passed between them. And she could tell that he had changed. Sure he still had his sexy little cocky attitude but she hadn't expected that to go away. But she could definatly see that there had been a change in him. A softness in his face that hadn't been there before. Life had been hell for Mary-Lynnette without Ash. Everything in this world reminded her of Ash. Every time she looked at Rowan she thought of Ash. Eventually she quite talking to the girl for a time, but then she knew she couldn't just tune the girl out to save herself some pain. People in school had noted the fact that she was more quiet and more reserved, and they instantly assumed that it was a guy. Mary-Lynnette would be bombarded with questions from people even though she didn't want to answer they knew. Somehow they knew.

    But now that Ash was here in her arms, she didn't have anything to worry about. As Mary-Lynnette pulled away from him slightly so that she could look directly at him, she knew thats she had been given the best soulmate out of them all. Ash was absolutly perfect to her. She just hoped that he could be happy with a human as a soulmate. At least for now. Because he was right. She wasn't yet ready to give up her humanity not just yet. She would become a vampire just for him soon. But not yet. Mary-Lynnette placed her hand to her cheek as she looked at him, the love of her life. She had just come clean and admited to it and she felt no guilt in it. She didn't feel ashamed for loving him and she knew that she never would. They would be together from now on. Forever to be exact. She would spend the rest of eternity with him, this she knew for a fact. That things would all be better now that she had Ash with her. "You just slew a dragon for me my prince.." Mary-Lynnette whispered before she placed a light kiss to Ash's lips. She felt the sparks that indicated that they where soulmates but this time she was prepared for them. And it only made what they where doing so much the better.

Before Ash had met Mary-Lynnette he had been one tough cookie that most everyone seemed to want to jump down a well or either fall down a bridge. Ash had been manipulative, harsh, cold and always wanting to get people into trouble just to laugh and find their pain fully. He hated humans and would have been the first one to raise his hand if asked if he wanted to take them all out. Of course, that had all changed when he had gone in search of his sisters and had fallen in love. It had been a summer ago and he had gone down to Briar Creek knowing exactly where his sisters were, what he hadn’t expected was his sisters to have gotten involved with the humans already. In some sense his sisters being bad night world people had caused him to be happier than he had even been. When looking for these humans closed to his sisters he had found his soul mate, Mary Lynnette. Of course at first they had not gotten along, one bit. He had been dangerous and stubborn and her mature and in love with her stars. He had loathed her for being human and she had hated him for bringing fear into his own sister’s eyes. They had argued constantly and he had gotten his fair share of her foot to his shin. Now that had really hurt. Even when finding out they were soul mates they had still loathed each other, that was until Ash had really started to feel connected to Mary-Lynnette and actually just wanted to be with her. Now that had scared him. He had found himself always going back to his sisters just to see her and before he knew it he couldn’t stay away from her. After a few days he found himself willing and wanting to go see her, him not admitting but it was him himself who was going to see her. That connect had made them close and finally she had hit down that wall and struck right into his heart. She had made him feel happy and actually wanted, which was what he had just wanted all along. He loved his soul mate like she was his everything; but she wasn’t, she was more than that to him.
<p>
Being away from Mary-Lynnette had done so much things to him – sending him into somewhat of a depression and making him love crazy with not being able to be with her. He had worked harder than ever to make himself a better person and he had done it for her. His old ways were behind him and he was never looking back, because his future was full of love and Mary-Lynnette, and that was all he wanted. He wanted to always be with her and to tell her every day that he loved her. He wanted to protect her and be able to keep her from harm’s way and the great darkness that circle daybreak was going to fight. He wanted to be the one who she opened her eyes too and he wanted to just be there to cuddle her when she was down. He wanted to make her happy and for them to always be in love, and he knew he could do that because they were soul mates. He was never going to walk away from her and would never hurt her, because that would just make him crumble. It had taken him so much strength to just leave Briar Creek in the first place, now he was there he wasn’t leaving unless she was with him. He thought about staying but he knew Thierry still had some things for Ash to do; his service to circle daybreak wasn’t done yet. He didn’t even want to think about leaving Mary-Lynnette now, so he pushed it to the back of his mind to bring up later. For now he just wanted to soak in the moment of being there and having her there so close to him.
<p>
Since the day he had left he had imagined being back with her again, and the moment seemed to perfect from what he had imagined. He was forever fighting with himself; he just wanted to go back to her and never leave. He had imagined him just running straight to her door and sweeping her off her feet, even if she had changed her mind and didn’t want him. He always thought about that, if she had forgotten what it was like to be with him and decided to never see him again. He didn’t know what he would do without her, but if she was happy then he would never step into her life if that was what she wanted. If it meant him being unhappy for her to be over the world then he would do it. He would do anything for his soul mate; he had known that from the day he had accepted that he loved her.
<p>
Ash want good at admitting his feelings because he had never really done it before. He had only opened up to a few, one of them being Lady Hannah who reminded him so much of Mary-Lynnette that it almost hurt. She was a fun human to be around and she cheered him up – she was his friend. But here the blond vampire was, so easily admitting his feelings to his love as if it was the most naturalist thing in the world. He did love her and planned to tell her that over and over every day until she paid him to stop, and then he still wouldn’t. He just wanted to show her that he did; she meant the world to him.
<p>
The feeling of someone draining your blood had always been uncomfortable for Ash, yet as he let Mary-Lynnette drink his blood he had never felt anything so beautiful. He stroked her hair softly as she drank, a smirk on his lips which was so soft it was amazing he could pull something like that off. “Mary-Lynnette, your not going to die so shut up and drink. And i do love you, so much. I’m happy because i have you.” As she drunk from him he automatically felt that connect that bound them, and in one whole moment of feeling that he knew he would do just about anything for this girl. He felt perfect peaceful just to be sat there with his arms around her, his wrist to her mouth of course yet soon he forgot about that. He poured all of his love for her right into that connection and felt the same back – and it was the most wonderful thing he had ever felt. Just them touching sent electric sparks right down to the bone, but when being joined with blood....it was something entirely else. He could feel her mind, he could touch it and feel them merging together. They were seconds before he could swim around in her mind, and as he felt her pulling away he poured more love into it and was actually sad when she took her lips from his wrist. Automatically she started to cough and Ash leaned forward worried that she had too much, but just that simple movement made him feel dizzy. Looking down at his wrist he saw it close up before him, becoming a thin pink line which in moments would fade to being nothing but pale skin like the rest of them. Untouched. As Mary-Lynnette backed away from him he moved forward onto his knees, but stopped as he watched her wounds heal. It was working like he said, like he hoped. She was getting better, and that sent another smile shooting right onto his lips.
<p>
After a moment of worried coughing from his love, she was fully healed and with a soft smile he brought her back into his arms. Automatically he wrapped her up in him and felt that connection tingling his bones; with a soft smile he rested his head on hers and stroked her hair in that loving manor. It was always so soft and beautiful – just like her. He held her in that embrace for a moment before finally she pulled back, and with a frown he looked right into those beautiful green eyes and felt his breath being taken away. “I already gave up everything.” taking her back into his arms he squeezed her and just liked to be held and to hold her. He had waited so long for them finally to be able to do this, even if last time they had she had been crying over the murder of her friend who tried to kill her and Ash was close to death himself. He had survived of course and he had promised to come back to her. And here he was. Her eyes were so beautiful as he looked at her again, his cheeks feeling like they were on fire as she rested her palms on them. His cheeks flared as his heart jumped out of its place in his chest. She remembered...she remembered what he had said. Smirking softly he kissed her, feeling so much in that one kiss that it knocked everything out of him again. Pulling back he looked up into her eyes. “For you i’d slay anything babe. I’m not letting anything hurt you again.” and with that he leaned back in and kissed her, him feeling so perfect and never wanting to be anywhere else apart from with her. He wasn’t leaving Briar Creek again so easily, he knew that defiantly.

    Mary-Lynnette was lost to her soulmate. She had never really expected to findsomeone so utterly perfect for her that Ash Redfern was. It was not really a shock that she loved him so utterly much just that she had actually found the perfect person for her. She would never find anyone who made her as happy as Ash did when he was around. She never wanted him to leave again. She wanted him to always bee by her side and she always wanted to be with him. She would give up everything and anything for him. Just to be by his side. She knew eventually that she would become a vampire for him, when she would do this she wasn't entirely sure. With Ash's arms around her and his lips connected with her's everything seemed to be utterly perfect. As if nothing in the world could touch them or their love for one another. Mary-Lynnette's eyes closed lightly as she wrapped her arm's around Ash's neck pulling him as close to her that was humanly possible. She was so in love she felt like a little freshman girl with her first love all over again.

    But unfortunatly Mary-Lynnette was human therefore had to breathe eventually. As she pulled away from Ash's lips her breath coming out in ragid gasps she stared lovingly into his ever changing eyes. She slipped her fingers into his hair and began to play with the beautiful blonde strands. He was perfect in her eyes. There was nothing about him that she would change. Yet he had changed. It had been for the better instead of the worst and he had done it all for her. Mary-Lynnette loved the stars. But she loved Ash more and when he had been away the stars had reminded her so much of him. The way he shines so brightly, the way her world revolved around him. It was all so natural to love him. Even if they had been apart Mary-Lynnette knew that they would always be together under the same night sky. And that he would return to her. There had never been a doubt in her mind that he would return to her. Though there had been times when he had wished that he was there. Exspecially with her senior prom so close.

    A small blush played on her pale cheeks as she thought of the prom that she wouldn't be attending because she had thought that Ash wouldn't be there. She was giving that up because she didn't want to go with anyone other than Ash. She had been asked by quite a few guys to go with them but she had turned them all down because no one was better than her Ash. Mary-Lynnette had almost closed off from everyone while Ash had been away but then she had remembered that he wouldn't want that for her. He wouldn't want her to worry about what he was doing. He wouldn't want her to be un-happy. So she had tried her best to get threw the year without him though it wasn't the same without him in her life. She wanted to be part of his world. "What would I do without you.." Mary-Lynette said softly as she slowly got to her feet. "I'm supposed to stay the night in here because of a stupid dare from my friends." Mary-Lynnette giggled. "It's supposed to be haunted." Mary-Lynnette did the cute little air quote thing when she used the word haunted.

    An even deeper blush played on Mary-Lynnette's cheeks as she thought about Ash staying the night down here with her. Though she would have much rathered to stay under the stars with him. But to tell the truth Mary-Lynnette had no idea how to get out of here. Thats when it hit her. Her ankle no longer caused her pain. "Wow, I guess they are right when they say love is the best medicine." Mary-Lynnette said with a small laugh at her bad attempt at a joke as she worked her ankle though she knew that it wouldn't cause any pain. Ash's blood had healed everything. She smiled down at him before she offered him her hand to help him up from the ground and then sighed as she looked at her destroyed backpack. Everything she had needed to stay the night down here had been in that bag. It was then that Mary-Lynnette noticed how dim it actually was in here but it seemed her sight had been heightened as well. She raised a brow before shrugging it off and turning back to smile at Ash again.

and in this world of loneliness i see your face</center><br></tr>
<center><br><div style="width: 390px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; color: #000000; height: px;">
The erg to protect the beautiful dark haired human before his very eyes was more over whelming then anything he had ever felt, and almost as if was right there he could remember each feeling of when he had first met her. He could remember the denial of telling himself to stay away from her – that he was no good, whether she was his soul mate or not it just wouldn’t work out. That only made it harder for him to stay away of course and when he knew something was trying to harm his sisters along with her....he had to protect her. Those feelings were so the same that it was so different yet familiar all at the same time, the light blond haired vampire never doubted that they had disappeared for a moment. If he had forgotten what it was like to be in love with the young human then he must have been clearly out of his face drunk, because never could he put down his feelings for such a human that was his whole world. In the year of being away from her he had learned so much and experienced so many things the old Ash wouldn’t even dream of. He had changed so much all for her because he wanted to be better – he wanted to be someone she would be proud to say she loved and was soul mates with. When meeting Mary-Lynnette it was as if she had grabbed everything bad about him and cleaned him from the inside out. She had changed him so much with the power of love he felt for her, knowing that if he was to change then she would be proud to love him too. He wanted to be good, for Mary-Lynnette. Having his soul mate burst into his life and bring it all to colour, it had really opened his eyes and made him see just what he had to live for. Humans weren’t that bad and that gave him a clear view on the night world. To tell someone they couldn’t love someone due to their species was something he thought so stupid it almost made him mad! Before he had promised himself and every night world council especially his father that he would never let no human steal his heart. Before Ash had thought of them as lower vermin things that were only to use mostly for blood. Of course he had gone only for the higher class ones and had gotten his fair share of fun. Parties where he got lucky had been everything he had lived for, but now he had a more important reason to live. Mary-Lynnette. Ah, the name made his chest feel so light as if butterflies had built a home in there. Before when anyone mentioned humans and love Ash would have laughed and then punched their face, but now, he used that sentence every day. Falling in love with a human had been the best thing that had happened to him, and he didn’t regret going to Briar Creek one bit.
<p>
The thought of going to the ends of the earth for his love was something that the vampire would do, yet there had of course been that time when doing anything for a human would have been almost like suicide. When being in a situation like he had in the night world, it had been fatal for him to follow the rules and in force them. Yes there had been that time when enforcing the law onto traitors had been what he loved best, and causing trouble was what came along with it. He had liked to see those traitors get punished for going against their own race, yet look at him now. He would throw away everything and already had for a human. It was against everything he had stood for, yet now he stood on his own by her side with his own rules and circle daybreak. Personally he didn’t see what was so bad with falling in love with a human, but that was now coming from the mind of someone who was with circle daybreak. He assumed they all thought that, which was why they had joined to help save the humans. Ash was going to do all he could to save Mary-Lynnette, even if that meant getting badly injured or actually dying himself. He knew that if that happened then his love would surely just kick his ass in his grave, but if that meant making her safe than he would do it. Ash Redfern had devoted his life to Mary-Lynnette, meaning he would just do about anything to confirm her safety and make her happy. If it meant walking out of her life forever just to make her happy then he would do so, even if it meant him breaking his heart into tiny pieces. As long as she was happy, he repeated that over and over when he thought about her and what could happy. She was human, he was a monster – every day he expected her to tell him she didn’t love him. But every day her loved filled him and surprised him even more – they were in love, and the two soul mates always would be.
<p>
Often did Ash think about his life ahead of him, and every second of that involved the lovely brunette human with the beautiful green eyes. He could just get lost in them. Now that he had found his soul mate he planned to be with her, and would always show her he loved her and would never get tired of saying those three words over and over. Ash had a strong hope and faith that circle daybreak was going to win, if he didn’t then he would still have been with his father and the night world council. He never really told the others like his cousin James about how much he truly did believe in them, it just wasn’t him yet they knew he would do anything now to keep humans like his Mary-Lynnette safe. He thought often about when it was all over, about when they had won the war and was going back home to pick up on their lives. He was eighteen; Mary-Lynnette seventeen which meant she only had another year until they could officially live together. Well, that was what he had planned. When it was all over he would go out to Briar Creek, settle down and live with her. He had never wanted the quiet life but if it was with Mary-Lynnette then he would do it. They would have an old picket fence and goats in the back so he could feed. He knew that was what his aunt had been doing whilst she had lived out there, so he could live that way if he had too. Often he could run into the town and pick someone up if he truly needed the blood, or even the bigger cities if needed. Whatever it took he would do it, just to be with her. Lamia vampires could have children, so they could do that. But...wouldn’t that mean having a half breed like his cousin Jez? She seemed to have turned out fine, if the child wanted she or he could be vampire or human. Ash was hoping that Mary-Lynnette wanted to be a vampire again, then they could live with each other forever. He knew that she would need some more time to think about that idea, but he knew that if she wanted to she needed to decide quickly. Adults never made it for some reason, which was why most made vampires were young. There was still a chance for final death then, but there was more of a possibility the teenager would live with the youth. If she didn’t want to be a vampire then he would age with her and die when she did, oh he would make sure of that. She would of course see that as selfish, but Ash was in too deep – he couldn’t live without her.
<p>
Letting the feeling he got when just around his soul mate wash over him, Ash clung to his soul mate Mary-Lynnette, stroking her hair, rubbing his cheek on hers and planting a gentle kiss on her lips. The sparks rushing through them in the connect was so overwhelming that for a moment he thought he was going to collapse, but Mary-Lynnette proved to be the stronger one between them. Pulling himself up she took him with her, Ash bending his knees slightly yet feeling absolutely fine. Never did he feel stiff from a run or ever out of energy, which was of course if he didn’t push his vampire limit. Ash was lazy and that was something even he admitted, but there of course had been times when he had fought for himself and always that seemed to provide as the best answer. Steadying himself he ruffled that shaggy hair of his and automatically his eyes were touching hers, unable to let her out of his sight as a truly happy smile rose on his lips. At the sound of her voice his heart automatically started to flutter and subconsciously he wrapped his arms around her waist. He liked to be close to her....it made him feel whole. A low chuckle rose in his throat as he tried to imagine high school teenagers daring his soul mate to do what they asked, them of course not knowing that she would be chased by a werewolve and saved by her vampire boyfriend. “I wondered why you were in here, but i just didn’t want to say unless it was the cool kids new hangout.” chuckling still he squeezed her lightly around the waste, his eyes automatically frailing to the werewolf who laid dead. It was strange how he had totally forgot about that. A line of worry crossed his face as he looked back to his soul mate. “Mary-Lynnette, i don’t want to sound like the overly protective boyfriend but i don’t want you spending the night in here....unless I’m with you obviously.” grinning he went in and tried to nip at her lips, but just like how he remembered her she was already taking and making him feel so happy with just the sound of her voice. Even though her joke was one to quieten a crowd, he still chuckled and managed finally to kiss her softly on the lips. “With the help of my super cool vampire blood obviously.”[/b] kissing her again softly he cuddled her, finally letting go as he took her hand. “C’mon, your not staying in here lovely.”[/b] oh how that was Ash now – super protective for the ones he loved.

Mary-Lynnette couldn't think of a world without her soulmate anymore, she couldn't think of the next moment without him in her life. Mary-Lynnette knew that without a doubt that she refused to be seperated from him ever again. She wasn't supposed to know about the Night World, but she had been sucked into it a year ago and there was no turning back. She wanted to help Ash with Circle Daybreak, she wanted to be with him and help protect him for the dangers out there in the world. She knew from tonight that their are many things that could hurt him, and though she wondered if he would deny her her request to go with him to become part of Circle Daybreak she knew that she would follow him anyways. Even if he told her that she couldn't follow him she knew she would follow him to the ends of the earth. And far beyond that if she was given the chance. Soon it would be too late for her to be turned into a Vampire, but she wouldn't think about that right now because she only cared for the here and now. And this here and now was going to be spent with her soul mate. Her body felt like liquid fire everytime he kissed her, each time as if it where the first and each time she never wanted that bond to be broken. She wanted to spend eternity in his arms.
<br><br>
His fingers in her hair seemed to calm her worries about him telling her she couldn't come with him, that she was too vulnerable. Why would Ash want them to be seperated again? Those eyes, oh she could get lost in those eyes. It felt like she was looking at the stars everytime he looked at her with such openess, such love and affection. When she had first met him she would have scoffed and told him he was an asshole and he needed to get a life, but Ash had changed. He was not the same man he was before he left, and she was greatful. He had wanted to change for her, to be better for her and she didn't know if it was a good thing that he had had to change, but so far she didn't have any complaints about the attention he was giving her. No one looked at her the way Ash did, it made her feel cherished, as if she where the most important thing in his world and why shouldn't she be? She was after all his soulmate, so that had to count for something, something important. Because everytime she looked at him, she was seeing the most important thing in her world, when she looked at him she saw the stars in a different way. And even though they had been living under the same night sky, it was different to be seperated from him. But she was pulled from her thoughts and staring into his eyes when he spoke.
<br><br>
"Did you really think that cool kids would come down here? No honey, this is where the geeks like me get sent by their friends as a joke." She said in all seriousness, but she lightened the mood by giving him a breathtaking smile. Mary-Lynnette had always been told that she had a beautiful smile and she couldn't really complain. She took great care of her teeth and she had never had to have braces because she was blessed with her mothers teeth and full luscious lips. Those luscious lips where curled into a breathtakingly beautiful smile. Mary-Lynnette thought of herself as a plain-jane type of pretty but to anyone else there was no denying that Mary-Lynnette was a head-turner who could capture the hearts of many, especially when they saw the true motherly kindness that always remained in her eyes. Except for when she looked at Ash, it was alway different when she looked at him, there was no motherly affection. No, when Mary-Lynnette looked at Ash there was only the undieing love she felt for her boyfriend and soulmate. It made her smile that he laughed so easily at her jokes even though they wheren't really funny, and she followed his gaze to the dead werewolf and felt a shiver go through her body, but the shiver was slowly gone as he kissed her again. God she loved kissing him.

She gave a nod. "Lets get out of here Ash." She said and then looked around, she had no idea how far she was into the old mine and she had no way of knowing how to get out. She was silently thankful that she wasn't one to panic and lose her cool. When he took her hand she knew that she would put her faith in him, he would be able to get them out of here and she knew it. Ash could do anything, or at least that was how she saw it. She didn't think that anything could ever defeat her Ash. And thats exactly what he was, he was hers and he always would be. He would always belong to her, just as she belonged to him. They would always be destined for one another.
