Well I PM'd Gatien, but it's been a few days, I suppose it's possible he's AWOL

What I wanted to know, first off, is if we're actually expected to just sign up and insinuate ourselves into one of the factions, or if we need to check it with the faction leader. Seems like it's possible someone might make a character that, say, Gatien might never have recruited for the ISS.

Secondary, I was wondering if there's a policy on multiple characters. I had intended to make Lou's brother a character also, but I thought I should check first. If that won't fly the second character really isn't necessary, but I thought it would throw a little more character onto Lou and his family history.

To give you some idea of context, Lou is a french-american man of about 22, who spent most of his teen years living and running with a rag-tag band of skinhead bravos. He's left that behind, but retains the traits of pigheadedness, violent tendencies, disrespect for 'the man', and to a lesser extent racism and misogyny. He's not really exceptional at anything except pissing off intellectuals. I RP a lot, both online and off, and lately I've been on a theme of making more or less mediocre, unimpressive personalities, and doing as much as I can with them. I guess you could say I got tired of 20th level mage/thieves and 5th gen battle-Tremere.

Lou's brother (I don't have a name for him yet) will (potentially) be a more refined, but no less moral character who took more after his father. Plays at being emotionless, until you do something that royally screws up a plan of his, or make his house messy, at which point he's liable to lose control and have a grade A fit. He's a financial whiz-kid, loves nothing but money, and considers everyone either inferior and to be scorned, or superior, and to be watched and respected, until they slip up and can be safely put in the second category. Also an asshole, but of the more subtle and extremely irritating variety. Lou and him have a very strained relationship, constrained for the most part to "Hey, ah, bro... I owe (drug dealer|loan shark|pimp) (X) dollars. Can I borrow some?" which is usually met by "You still owe me $50,000 from the last three times, Lou."

I've been working on a writeup for Lou offline, which is almost done, but I've been waiting to hear from someone before I submit my final draft. I'll start one for his brother if it's alright to have two characters.

Gatien has been sort of MIA lately. We're friends IRL and I've hardly even heard from him. That being said, myself and the other admin may take over the ISS temporarilly until he gets back in gear.

To prevent the sort of situation you asked about, all new members to the gangs must be approved by two admins, one being anyone, the other HAS to be the one that runs their particular gang. I.E., anyone who applies as a Rabbit has to get an approval from me, and then either of the other admins.

Multiple characters are DEFINITELY allowed. I have four.

And I like the character idea. Hit us with it, I'm sure you'll have no problem getting in.
