I just saw the ticket prices for Yanni’s Acapulco concerts.

What is it Yanni - you hate your fans and think they are made of money? I liked you once, not anymore. $1000 per ticket is far more than most of us can afford on top of the already high cost of traveling to Mexico. You have GOT to be kidding. The only ‘reasonable’ tickets in the whole place are in the nosebleeds - an area where we would normally pay $45 a ticket and you want almost double that!

Dream on Yanni - you only care about your big fancy house and recording studio. You don’t give a damn about people anymore. I hope your father can set you back on the straight and narrow way. This is pathetic.

first four rows - $10000 pesos
fifth row back - $2600 pesos
first floor - $2100 pesos
second floor - $1500 pesos
third floor - $900 pesos

That's a range fo $83 US to $1000 US per ticket, with the majority of tickets being near or over $200. Well he's sold out folks. angry.gif angry.gif angry.gif

I wanted to verify what you said before I responded, and, unfortunately, you're right. Yanni's management team has been a complete trainwreck for eons now, however, so I guess it shouldn't be too surprising. According to one of the talking heads on his official site, the pricing "isn't his fault; it was set up by the venue." If that's the case, and I highly doubt it, wouldn't you check this fact BEFORE you pick that venue? Clearly that would be one of the main things to check.

I think this whole "Yanni Voices" experiment may blow up in his face. He's been teasing us with it for a year now I think, and we've only gotten 4 songs out of the deal. And some of the other songs I've heard basically butcher the original, acoustic versions.

I wouldn't even think about flying to Mexico to see him, no matter what the price --- I think it was a completely idiotic location to pick. I don't think the locals in Mexico have that kind of money to spend on a concert. And God knows most people in the U.S. don't have that kind of money when you combine it with airfare. The whole thing is ridiculous.
