The Crimson Archipelago consists of 52 islands scattered throughout a sea far southeast of Sinnoh. The isles vary in all ways possible, including size, distance, cultures, trainers, events and catchable Pokémon. From the biggest, the center of all things official-Pokémon related, to those of average size, among them the commercial centers of the Crimson Archipelago, to the smallest, each is unique and truly worth visiting at least once.

Lareno Island, the biggest isle in the entire Crimson Archipelago, is one giant landmass dedicated entirely to the Pokémon League and the hobby/art/sport of Pokémon training. Its capital city is the one housing the Elite Four, Pokémon League Headquarters and Hall of Fame. Littered around the rest of the isle are Pokémon day-care centers, resorts for trainers' temporary stays, arenas and other clubs, shrines and dedications to trainers, Pokémon and schools of types.
In the Pokémon League Headquarters itself, the entirety of the capital city, the Crimson Archipelago Elite Four resides. They are known as the four best trainers in the world, and the Crimson Elite Four is respected as the highest echelon of Pokémon training anywhere, even amongst the other Elite Fours. Also in the city are the massive Global Trade Station, the Lareno Colosseum, the Pokémon Center widely believed to be the biggest in the world, and the Hall of Fame. The Lareno Colosseum regularly houses commercially organized and sponsored battle tournaments, which visiting trainers use to build their reputation and their Pokémon's strength. It features region- and world-wide broadcasts, money prizes, and is notoriously known for being the essential stop for any trainer dreaming of challenging the Crimson Elite Four.
Lareno Island, despite being the largest island in the Archipelago, has less than one-third the amount of residents as Cavana Island. This is because of the entire island's devotion to Pokémon and the League. There are regularly millions of people on the island, but almost all are visitors, tourists and aspiring trainers. The only permanent residents of Lareno Island are Pokémon League employees and those who help with the upkeep of the city and the island.
