News and Information

Alright, people! It would appear that we have a really full student load! Therefore, I'm going to close applications for now, EXCEPT for PS Elements, because we still have a couple slots there.

Because the chat and request forums were recently switched to over to Obsession-Studios.net, I've added some new forums. There is now CHAT, FREEBIES, and CRITIQUES forums available. Please try not to spoom the chat board. If you really feel the need for silliness, the spoom board is alive and well at OS.N (link above).

oooo this is really, really good. Of course level four and bleh. I'm not even going to say whats wrong, for their is hardly anything wrong. Tail maybe a little too smudged and the cutting has a little black.

First off,
what do you really want to learn more then anything?
what are special things you want to work on?
do you think you are good at splashes?
ripples?
shadows?
Rating 0-10 how good are you at wings?

Andddd no idea for any other questions xD

I am just going to test you on coloring.

http://static.flickr.com/32/39855845_dc8f8...pg?v=1148267183

i want you to make them all one type of color, like blue or green or what color you want. Pick two of the horses and place them on the image. Then explain how you did it

what do you really want to learn more then anything? besides water (sorry, I'll stop with that ^^") maybe...
what are special things you want to work on? Making a picture look complete. Sometimes, I have a horse on a background, and suddenly have no idea what to do next.
do you think you are good at splashes? no dry.gif
ripples? I've had a lesson about ripples so.. yeah =]
shadows? pretty much...
Rating 0-10 how good are you at wings? I'm improving slowly, though I really don't want to rate myself. here's my latest wing example though: Clickie

about the assignment, when the horses are on the bg, are they one solid colour? I'll probably have to get the assignment tomorrow though, coz I'm at my friend's house and she doesn't have photoshop ^^"

sorry about lateness…

Okay, first, I desaturated the piccie with the horses on it, and then chose a colour, all this using Hue/Saturation. Then I cut the two horses out with the pen tool, which is fastest && easiest for me. I chose those two coz they were the only two without a body part obstructed.

Normally, I hate making images bigger, coz then they look all pixel-y, but in this case it didn’t look too bad. I only resized one, I thought I could do a ‘mother/foal’ thing here =] I smudged the horse with strength 10, size 60 soft brush, and smudged… The larger horse was cut out with a bit of the sand ridge, and I used the burn tool to make a little… thing under the horse. What do you call it? O.o

Anyway, I pasted the horse onto a new image, flipped it horizontally, then rotated it 180 degrees. I pasted it back onto the image, and in blending options fiddled around with the shadow option. That’s how I get my shadows =] and then guassian blurred it... that’s about it…

Good but i didnt mean like that. Make the image all one color and have everything kind of match. I love how the horses are so could you make all that image green or change the color

I'll also say smudge the sand onto the horses more and blend them in together, you can tell that you placed the horse into the image.

So I want you to make the whole image one color pleasems

Also i took that picture, it was one of my favorates i took at the beach but of course we were not allowed down there

The coloring is fine, of course. The shadow is a bit to long for the horses and the horses look smaller because of it. The picture is really cute with da baby horses! SO cute ness ~huggles it~

I decided to jump you into horns!

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/41660087/
That is da horsey!
Cut the horsey out and smudge him.

Also find a horn for the horse. Post it here
