-Season-
OMFG! It is Summer!!! Spring is over and its going to get HOT.

-Weather-
Alright since its summer its getting warmer. The nights are still fairly cool, and a day or two now and then is alright, not to hot. But others will either force you inside witht he air, or in a cold pool. Our Reptiles will love it, but shade even for them will be desired. Just as much as they love heat, to much can also kill them. Keep that in mind! But still there are gloomy and cloudy days even in Summer. Lets hear it for the BEACH!

It had been an annoyingly long day, and it had felt even longer since he was on the phone, working with someone who wouldn’t meet anyone in person. Video phones were needed in this situation, mostly because it gave the one Dominic was trying to persuade, a visual, and it also let him read the person and everything they did to try and work them over. No one actually understood how dangerous Dominic’s job actually was, he was basically persuading rich bastards to invest in something that would, in a few years prove to be a waste of a lot of money. It was Dominic doing all the work and getting paid more than enough for his time and skills, but it was also his life on the line, not his boss’, that was the only problem with his job, and that he couldn’t exactly get out of it and live.

The man he had been speaking with for the better part of seven to eight hours, had proved to be one hard shell to crack. Even when Dominic was done he hadn’t gotten a straight answer to the “investment”, but he did have to wait till tomorrow for that answer, and he really wasn’t looking forwards to it. After he’d gotten off the video phone from the damned bastard he’d called his boss to fill him in. He was lucky that his boss loved him, or else he would have already been dead with all the time he had recently taken off. His boss had understood and let him take his time. He had been grateful and had finally started working again, and was determined to get this deal sealed.

After he had finished reporting in and turned off all his computer stuff and the TV used for the video phone. He left the room, locked it and headed for the kitchen. He was dressed nicely, because even through video he had to present himself well. He wouldn’t have even gotten dressed from his silk pajama bottoms if he’d had any say in the matter, but work was work. He’d change when he got actual food in him, but first, and though he hadn’t eaten anything at all that day, he really, really wanted a cup of coffee.

He removed his black tie and tossed it on the kitchen counter before unbuttoning the nearly black grey silk shirt. Though Dominic was into more of that gothic style, he did dress pretty nicely when he worked, but it seemed to make that look he always gave, worse. A little devious maybe and more like a predator. Thing was, the only ones who would notice were those who knew him well, or other shifters. Humans wouldn’t understand the look even if it bit them on the ass.

Walking to the coffee pot and getting everything out to make himself a few cups he sighed and stared at the damned thing as he began to quickly make itself. Dominic looked like one of those pretty models at certain moments, with his shirt unbuttoned and showing off the flat toned pale flesh of his stomach didn’t help the matter either. He was one of those guys that when you looked you wanted, well for girls, maybe that was because though they didn’t know it, but they would never get a chance. Dominic wasn’t totally gay, he had, had girlfriends in the past, and one a year or so before Dane came along, but Dominic tended to swing more towards males than females, but oddly it wasn’t, at all noticeable, and most of his good friends actually still believed he was straight.

The thought of Dane made him glance towards the glass doors of the beach house. Half the house was made out of freaking glass, but he liked it, a nice clear view of the blue ocean. It was a pretty sight, and one that most took for granted. His blue eyes watched the ocean waves so far away, but he couldn’t hear them from this distance, not behind closed doors and such. His dark black hair framed his pale features and seemed to make the pretty color of his eyes all the brighter. One thing that was rather frightening was seeing his eyes go from that pretty blue, to feline pupils as a cat colored green yellow. Humans should never possess feline eyes, but he wasn’t entirely human either.

The scent off coffee was heaven, the house was cool despite the summers heat outside, and cold enough inside to actually enjoy a hot drink. Plus, it was nearing six in the after noon, but still light out, so coffee was perfect at this time. Turning back towards the finished pot he poured himself a cup and added hazelnut creamer before he walked over, with mug in hand, to the dinner table near the double glass doors and sat down before pulling the news paper over. He checked the date ad he sipped his coffee to make sure it wasn’t yesterdays before he turned the pages to find the hit stories. It wasn’t like he cared what happened in the world, but sometimes the stories were interesting enough.

He sat, drinking his coffee and reading the paper till he was forced to turn on a light and get his third cup. Still he hadn’t eaten but at the moment, his stomach wasn’t begging him to, but he was, despite the tasty coffee, beginning to feel the effects of not eating. Like a nearing grumpiness, annoyance, and the distant want to tear something apart and devour it. Sometimes, he believed that if he didn’t have as much control over his shift, he would be just like Justus, and that, if they just so happened to share the same murderous tastes, that they would actually, in a certain sense, get along, but that feline territorial crap would always still be there. He knew he should eat something but he decided he’d rather be lazy and sit at the table drinking his coffee that was beginning to effect him and give him the shakes from having so much caffeine on an empty stomach.

The waves crashed against the shore, sending foam and seawead onto the beach as the salty water retreated into it's darkening depths. The sand was white and remained warm against his skin, heating his surprisingly chilled body as he lay out in the lingering sun. A few of Dominic's dogs lay beside him, but Kurt, the newest edition to Dominic's pack, but his most loyal, was scrambling along the shore, chasing after the patterned water.

A soft yawn parted his lips as he sat up, letting the messy dark brown hair to fall into his mildly tanned features. His usual sophisticated demeanor was ruined now that his tresses had grown throughout the summer, and the only thing he wore was a pair of Billabong swim shorts, making him appear more like a teenage surfer than an actual grown man.

A sharp whistle alerted the few dogs that had wandered from his side, causing them to stop what they were doing and bolt in his direction, running excitedly as though they were in a game of tag and Dane was the safe base.

Dane laughed softly, pushing back his tousled bangs to reveal a bizarre, but rather chilling murky water green orbs. He seemed to hold light characteristics, a gentle smile, a calm chuckle, but his eyes held a story that was both dark and twisted- he may hold a charming grin, but his soul was frigid and unwelcoming.

*Lets go see if your father has decided to show his face...* Dane teased the dogs, making them bark happily as he brought himself to his feet and began to saunter toward the pathway that lead up to the distant house on the cliffside.

By the time he reached the top and moved toward the porch, he was losing the breath in his lungs and found it difficult to call the dogs inside when he opened the door.

*Kurt!* He finally yelled, causing the dog to look at him with clear displeasure and then trot into the house, his claws clicking against the hardwood floor.

Dane entered after the pack of pitbulls, smiling broadly only to let out a laugh when the scent of coffee caught his attention.

*Well he must be up!* His tone was mildly sarcastic but amused none the less as he moved toward the kitchen to spy upon Dominic with a mischevious expression, *how nice to see you again, it's been what- a few weeks?* He teased knowing full well he had seen Dominic that very morning when he had got up to make breakfast and then take the dogs down to the beach.

Dominic’s gaze lifted from the paper as he heard the sliding glass door open in the other room. He set the mug aside and pushed it away with the tip of his fingers, the rest of the coffee inside was cold. Letting his blue gaze slowly lower back to the paper he turned the page just as Dane entered the kitchen with the horde of dogs following at his heels.

For some reason, the dogs simply knew when not to go near him, mostly because he was a cat, and not one of those tiny ones either. Now was one of those times, he was hungry, and sometimes dogs smelled like food. He figured he knew how Justus felt in that area towards some of the weaker shifters. Dominic however, wouldn’t actually eat someone though, nor would he murder one of his dogs unless he hadn’t eaten for days and was blinded by both rage and hunger. He’d never yet done that.

Sighing he lifted both brows to Dane’s words before he folded the paper and tossed it across the table before looking back up towards Dane with a calm yet very, very slightly dangerous look. Dominic hadn’t yet forgiven Dane, but he’d decided to let most of it go, the tension had been to high and he’d only wanted to strangle Dane for weeks. Oh, he was still pretty pissed, but he choose to ignore most of it, something that he could do, but proved to be difficult. The look however wasn’t from his anger towards Dane, because at the moment he was more relieved to see the man than angry, no, it was because he was starving and hadn’t done anything about it.

”Well, it kind of felt like it… the mother fucker wouldn’t settle for a damned answer… I have tomorrow to try again…” He mumbled in a slightly angry tone as he lowered his eyes to his hand as his finger tips played with the tip of a pen as he suddenly fell into thought. ”so, besides being bombarded by a pack of dogs, what have you done while I was working? He asked before looking back up.

The look he gave was one that actually looked frightening, for all he moved was his eyes and his head had slightly bowed. If Ricker had been in the room he would have said something about the look, or about vampires. It still surprised him how a grown man could actually believe he was a vampire. Let alone believe it from none other than Justus.

Flicking the pen away from his fingers he crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back completely in the chair before lifting his head. His gaze remained on Dane the whole while. He hadn’t brought up the subject of cheating for a few weeks now, and wasn’t about to bring it up now, but he still just didn’t understand why Dane hadn’t stepped up. Instead, he had run away from him problems, both worrying and pissing Dominic off royally. He still hadn’t gotten an answer he liked from the man, but he had also decided that he would wait fro Dane to figure one out that actually seemed reasonable.

Dane smiled patiently, watching Dominic with a calm gaze and a gentle expression, the same appearence he had on when hiding something. It wasn't uncommon to see Dane like this, he was constantly trying to cover up one of his flaws so he could focus on keeping the ones he loved happy.

His main priority being Dominic.

*I'm sorry.* He replied casually, his vocals soothing though not quite the silky tone that Dominic and Justus both had the capability of using.*I'm positive that everything will work out for the best, you're amazing at your job... what ever that may be, but considering your not dead, I suppose you must have some talent.*

A soft laugh escaped him, though the sound was dry and lacked the warmth that most chortles held. *He'll come through.* he whispered while leaning forward, only to lightly brush his lips against Dominic's, enjoying the warmth that the man had to offer. He had attempted to make it up to Dominic, try to show him that he still cared about him more than any strange woman from a caffe.

He grimaced slightly when he pulled back, but quickly recovered with a sly grin.

Dane's face was salty from the ocean water, and his skin was warm from the suns welcoming embrace. It wasn't very often that he retained heat, but the fact that he was only meant that he was growing overhearted and was wise to return inside.

*My day was fine.* He retorted to Dominic's inquiry, *the dogs and I were outside then came in and made lunch then walked around on the shore for a while. Fell asleep in the sun, came back in to get more food, and then went swimming with Kurt- he was the only one brave enough to venture out with me. Though, I didn't do much else. I suppose this is what you call a 'lazy day?'*

Delight reflected within his visage as he entered the kitchen to open the fridge and peer around with clear disappointment but sighed and looked back, *Perhaps we should order something? You keep giving me that dangerous look, and I don't want to be treated like meal... If you recall, it is I that bites you.*

Dominic smirked at Dane’s comment about his dangerous look and laughed softly. Shaking his head he looked towards the dogs as they glanced from Dane to him and backed up before turning and quickly moving off into one of the other rooms. He looked to Dane before tilting his head slightly with a dangerously amused look playing across his features and within his blue eyes. ”oh you know I can never eat you Dane… your not prey… you should know that much…” He whispered with a smirk as he remained seated.

Dane was right about one thing thought. It wasn’t Dominic that bit, though he did like to now and again, it was Dane and boy did he love it. Yet, again, Dane was correct about getting something to eat, he hadn’t been around the man all day and that alone would kick up that sexual hunger and when Dominic hadn’t eaten, well, the dominance thing was thrown off a bit. Usually Dominic submitted to Dane, and Dane was the dominant one, in bed, outside of it, well it was Dominic that remained at the top of that ranking system.

Dominic couldn’t help but suddenly think what Dane would do if he could, if he pushed hard enough, dominate the other man, he had tried, many times but always gave in because of that biting thing that just plain did it for him, if blood was involved, well, that just made it even better. Dominic liked it to much, so much that Dane was usually afraid to do even more even if Dominic said he could. He’d already had a brush with fate before he shifted and stopped the bleeding. It had taken him a while because it had just felt to good, but he had eventually shifted and began healing.

”There is nothing to worry about Dane, if anything I’ll just get aroused, I wont even try to kill you, your bite feels to damn good to give up…” He said with a smirk before he finally sighed and pushed himself to his feet. Dominic hadn’t really did to much attention wise with Dane since the incident, he’d pushed himself away a little but was beginning to slowly lean back into their relationship. He wanted to forgive him, and would, if only he got that answer he wanted, but he wasn’t going to push the subject, he could wait, and would till Dane brought it up again.

He stretched and felt a few bones pop and his muscles stretch almost painfully before feeling unbelievably good. He then walked towards Dane and grabbed the man behind the neck before pulling him forwards and returning that kiss. Smirking against Dane’s lips he laughed softly before pulling back and turning towards the cupboards and beginning to go through them. ”I just when to the store the other day, we couldn’t have eaten all the food… but what if I didn’t want to eat, then what would you do?” he asked with a lift of his brows before looking back towards Dane with a curious gaze.
