-Season-
OMFG! It is Summer!!! Spring is over and its going to get HOT.

-Weather-
Alright since its summer its getting warmer. The nights are still fairly cool, and a day or two now and then is alright, not to hot. But others will either force you inside witht he air, or in a cold pool. Our Reptiles will love it, but shade even for them will be desired. Just as much as they love heat, to much can also kill them. Keep that in mind! But still there are gloomy and cloudy days even in Summer. Lets hear it for the BEACH!

Pale brown eyes stared out into the sunlit park. The day itself was rather hot. Being summer it was a time for pools and shade. For children it was just fun to get outside of an air-conditioned home, even if it felt like hell. Clouds seemed like a distant thought, and all there was above, was sky and the sun with its warning heat.

In the shade it was perfectly fine, in the sun it was just a little unbearable. Lucky her, and her young daughter, that the childrens playground in the city park was surrounded by trees and covered a good portion of the tall structures and slides.

She sat on a blanket, on the cool crass, in the shade. Her eyes never shifitng down to the book in her lap. No, she was to paranoid for that. Her pale, yet large brown eyes were trained on her two year old daughter. Never would she let the child out of her sight, and when she strayed a little to far, Nakomis almost always panicked.

She was dressed in a white dress that looked like it was taken out of the late 1800's. The ribbon on it was a deeply colored red. The lace , just as white as the rest of hte dress. Her pale blonde hair was long and pulled back away from her face but left hanging. Her shoes were sitting on the blanket in which she sat. Her dress in a circle around her making it seem like she had no feet or even legs. she was just sitting with them curled to the side.

The only reason she was sitting in the park, watching little Tarja, who looked nearly identicle to her, was because she was heading to her parents house farther out of the city. It was only noon so she had a few hours before her father wanted to see her. It was a daily routine. And if she couldnt make it, then a call every four hours was perfectly fine. He still freaked though.

She had anted to pick up Dante. Her nephew. But heading there and then trying to head back wouldnt have been allowed. She may have been old enough to live on her own and have a child. But her father treated her like a child still. She couldnt blame him though. Look what had happened when Both the children were born. Or rather cut from their mothers. She'd tell her mother everything and pick a choose with her father. He panicked more than she did, so, telling him she stopped at the park for an hour was out of the question. He'd most likely make her stay at the house for a week to make sure no one was following her.

Landon wouldnt mind, much. But he was much like her father when it came to her. She remembered when she woke up in the hospital after a week. She had freaked, hadnt known where she was and people with lab coats and nurse outfits had scared her to near death. Landon had been there. And boy had she been glad he was. She wasnt sure oif anyone but him or maybe Cain would calm her so quickly. Well her father abnd mother maybe. But They were twins after all. The bond was close. He was her anchor at certain moments. Her other half.

That thought brought up more promblems. Having been trained for nearly eight years in medical school, she knew when something wasnt right with her, or someone else. Being a shifter and more keen on certain things, made it so she was almost always right. She hadnt yet told anyone what she had found out. Not even Cain. She'd gone to the doctors a few weeks back after a slight problem with her heart. Tarja had disappeared from sight at the house. She'd paniced and had nearly fainted. Turns out, when she panics, her heart rate speeds up faster than a normal humans. That was normal considering what she was, but even then it was out of the normal range.

The doctors said she needed to be careful or she could end up having a heartattack, a real one, and a bad one. It had also started to skip a beat now and again. Stop for a second longer than it should. Her headaches were also getting worse. When they appeared that is. Her headaches had cut down but new problems kept popping up. she was afraid to tell anyone. She didnt want them to worry about her more than they already did. She didnt want them constantly questioning if she was alright. But she could never keep everything from Landon. He always knew when something was wrong. Some went both ways.

Thinkng of Cain made her smile, as thinking of Landon. Cain was working with Mahna and Lawrence at the studio. Now that Lawrence wasnt house ridden, he had to much energy to not work. He was truely amusing. But she still didnt know if Mahna liked her. The tiny woman seemed rather quiet for even the shy Nakomis. Landon was most liely home with Sonja and Dante. She hadnt been there for the last few days and it was time to see everyone.

Smiling as her daughter came running back in her red dress, similar to Nakomis with white lace and white ribbons. Her black shoes needing a little care once the day was over. Laughing softly she opened her arms just for her daughter to nearly plow into her giggling. She was on the small side for a two year old, but she was indeed adorable.

Wrapping her arms around the small child she whispered something to her only for the child to giggle and whisper odd words to her mother with an excited little squeal. Slowly standing Nakomis folded up the blanket and then lifted her daughter into her arms before heading out of the park to her car. It was time to head to the Rocancourt household. Just so her father wouldnt panic. Sometimes just the thought made her laugh. Other times it made her want to cry. He never got a break. And when he thought he found one, everything shattered.

The sun was satisfyingly warm that afternoon as it allowed its golden rays to fall upon the massive city of Rizco. It was a lovely day, perhaps one of the best that this town had seen in a long while, though many could not take in the beauty of such a summer delight, one man specifically.

Justus glared out the window with revulsion, his boredom had reached its limit, and the familiar twinge of the cat within, annoyed him further. He wanted freedom, a chance to escape the house he had become imprisoned too. A recognizable desire for catastrophe had reared its head once more, and Justus found himself yearning for the war he had grown infatuated with. The idea seemed genius to him, yet he just needed a single chance to pull it off and let the disaster begin.

He stood, his long blonde hair falling over his mildly golden visage, the hours he spent within the sun had brought his skin a customary tan appearance that came around this season quite expectantly. Though Justus seemed far more striking with this golden touch, it was a guise no human could pull off, it was roughly god-like, to say the least.

Yawning loudly his bizarre violet orbs narrowed upon two figures at his feet. Both were obviously dogs, but upon a closer survey, it was obvious that one was a grayish looking fox and the other was a jackal. This thing was not common in such an area, and civilians normally passed them off as mutts, or strays.

*What…* Justus grumbled in response to their begging, hardly acknowledging them as he moved towards the kitchen. *I don’t want to go outside.* He muttered in an irritated tone as Ricker pestered him through thought.

*Fuck that-* He snarled, glowering at the Jackal with obvious displeasure, *I don-* He stopped, never finishing his sentence as he pulled out a beer, his sixth for that hour, and took a long sip. *That’s actually not a bad idea…* Leaning down he ruffled the Jackal’s fur roughly, but the man seemed not bothered by this action of praise. *Lets go… C’mon, to the park so you two jack offs can shut up and lemme’ alone. Got it?”

He raised a brow as both of them nodded excitedly. The idea seemed mildly interesting, and the more he pondered it, the more he enjoyed the thought of being out in the city, relaxing in the park. Hopefully he could calm himself there and not be so grumpy towards Victoria.

They left the house not a few minutes later, Justus was wearing an old ragged wife beater with tattered jeans and old converse, and he walked with a ferocious air, glaring at passerbies as he sauntered towards the heart of the city.

He peered up no more than a half an hour later, his amber orbs holding far more feline characteristics than they had before. *Alright, freaks- have a party.* He growled under his breath as he watched Ricker and Caww run off into the gated park, allowing Justus to amble in at a far more calmer pace.

Justus remained aggravated, running his fingers through his hair before he peered behind him and then back around the park once more. He wanted chaos- he wanted….

Eyes widened as he watched the mother and child, he had to plant his feet firmly in the ground to keep himself from lunging forward. Nakomis… The name appeared in his mind with a rush, she had been one of the few to escape his wrath more than once, but he had not the slightest inkling that she had given birth to a child… The grapevine just wasn’t what it used to be.

A smile flickered onto his handsome features as he watched from afar, observing the child curiously. He wanted it… He wanted a child of his own and surely Victoria would appreciate such a present.

The cat inside of him was now awake and eager, his mind set was not firmly established and it was obvious he was not leaving until he achieved all of his goals…

Opening the car door she froze. She knew enough with dealing with her family and its paranoia what it felt like to be watched. Resting her hand on the door of the car, the other holding onto her child she turned her head. Her large, pale brown eyes searching her surroundings before it found the only threat. Justus.

She felt cold suddenly and her pulse seemed to pause before speeding up. She remembered him. It had been a while since she had last ran from him. That was another thing she hadnt told anyone. Sooner or later her dad would follow her everywhere she went if he knew what Justus had put her through before. That had been a long time ago. Before she had even met Cain, before she had left for eight years for further schooling.

Her needs were more prey than predator. Her need to escape came like a deer being hunted by a pack of wolves, or in this case a tiger. She still believed that she should be a rabbit more than a jaguar. she still didnt understand. Landon fit his shift, she didnt. But she couldnt change it.

Suddenly having every movement and every noise rush back she turned and quickly lowered her daughter into her car seat before attempting to buckle her in as quick as possible. She was quickly speaking and acting as happy as she could as she did so. she didnt want her daughter to panic. Not that she was easy to but keeping the child happy was always on the top of her list. She loved her to much for anything else.

Shoving the blanket in the car on the other side of the car seat she quickly took the keys from her small purse and shut the door before glancing both ways on the street in which she was parked before heading for the drivers side door. Justus may just be passing through, but she had felt his gaze, felt the disturbing glare. She knew his intentions were not at all good. Fleeing would be good, getting away now, well that would be even better.

Brows furrowed as he continued to scrutinize her, wanting only to annihilate that beloved moment and take the thing Nakomis cherished most. Before he knew or could stop himself, his feet were moving towards that car, he promptly found himself rushing and then running to catch up with his reward.

*Leaving so quickly?* He snarled as he went towards her, stepping up onto the hood of the car to walk over and swiftly jump down onto the other side, narrowing the distance between them. *I thought you would like to say hello to me-* He had grabbed her door and was holding it firmly, though his attention had been drawn from Nakomis to the child in the back seat.

*And who is this?* He whispered curiously, *I didn’t know you had a child…. Hi there!* His tone had peculiarly shifted from vicious to an uncanny gentleness, *what’s your name?* He asked softly, a smile appearing once more but it quickly vanished as he peered to Nakomis.

Justus let a low growl escape his vocals, his body trembled with rage and eagerness as he glowered upon the woman unrelentingly, *I want it.* He finally muttered, referring to the toddler in the backseat.

He knew this would be difficult, mothers could be dangerous when it came to others messing with their kin, but Justus doubted Nakomis would be capable of doing much damage. He was mesmerized by the little girl, his heart ached to hold her, to have her- he wanted a daughter, and was jealous of the woman he was about to bully.

*How about this-*

His fingers curled about her dainty wrist as he grabbed her and began to pull her away, *you let me take the kid and I promise you, it will be safe- and you can keep your own life as well. If you don’t let me have lass peacefully, I will kill you or the child. Preferably the kid, because if I can’t have it… no one will. Is that understood?* The words we low, so no one around would have the capability of catching such violent threats.

He pushed he away with a large amount of force before he walked around the car and opened the door to the backseat, *Hey there kiddo.* He whispered with a calm grin, *You’re gonna go with me, alright?*

Justus began to undo the car seat and was just about to pick the child up when Ricker came yipping. The grey fox barked and cried, snarling finally as he attempted to stop his cousin from such an action. -Don’t Justus!-

Nakomis gasped as Justus seemed to suddenly appear in front of her. Her eyes widened as she looked up and quickly took a single step back. She hardly moved away from the car before he grabed her wrist and pulled her a little towards him. She wasnt sure if she would have even left the side of the car if he pulled a gun on her. Like most mothers, she wasnt about to leave her child behind.

His words startled her into silence. She may be a shy person, but when it came to similar situations she kind of wasnt. How could he say such a thing? How could he want it? How could anyone attempt and steal a child from their mother? It was insane. She may not hold the strength that most of her family and other shifters held but she was stronger than a human being, that counted. Right?

Before she knew it she had been shovved aside. Her hand flung out and caught the side of the car before she fell to the ground. Stumbling and quickly catching herself she jerked her head up. "Justus please! no! Leave her alone! She is my daughter. You can't do this!" she shouted before she pushed herself away from the car and walked around to the side he was on.

Her attention gshifted for a second before she fought her own body for all of its strength to shove him aside and stand in front of the back passengerside door to protect her child from view.

Her eyes had turned from that pretty pale brown to a feirce feline golden hue. Her panic was still there, but above all she was suddenly pissed. Ticking her off was a hard thing to do. Unless you messed with her family. Though she was small, delicate, she suddenly seemed more. Dangerous was to strong of a word but she didnt look as weak as she normally did. "Leave my daughter be. You will not touch her again. Or i swear you will not like the result."

The threat was true, but it wouldnt be her setting the threat fully into play. No, she was a little to delicate, weak for that. But her father was a quick to act man. One call to him and he would be down here in minutes, and angry as all hell. He was not a person to mess with when it came to family. It was all he had and he did his best to take care of it.

The voice of her daughter caught her. Her words were not clear but being with her daily had taught Nakomis what she was trying to say. Tarja was scared. The sound of her voice made that clear enough. What she wanted was her mother. Tarja was a daddy's girl, but when he wasnt around, she clung feircely to the next person she trusted. More her mother than anyone else besides Cain himself.

Moving out of the way of the open door she shut it before Justus could shove her out of the way and finish getting Tarja out of her car seat. "Please Justus. Just leave me and my family alone. I have done nothing to you." Her voice was both angry and desperate. She didnt know what to do and the last thing she wanted was to have to worry the rest of her family.

Justus misunderstood her intentions, she was fighting to protect her daughter, which was understandable, but this wasn’t something he could easily comprehend. A growl erupted from his vocals once more as he felt her fight against him, she was strong but he could easily be just as forceful, and it was quickly growing apparent that he was planning on using such violence.

Amber orbs narrowed as he let out a snarl, *No-* He replied viciously though clenched teeth, *Fuck that, I want that kid.* He glared at Nakomis before shaking his head stubbornly, *I don’t give a shit about your threats, my mind has been made up, got it?* His hand raised and without much warning he slammed it across her face and then forcefully moved her away from the car once more. *I can kill you, but I don’t want to. I just want the kid-* He spoke in a much smoother tone as he returned his attention upon the two year old, quickly unlatching the car seat once more.

He was eager to take the child with him, but knew Nakomis would pose a grand problem, he could not simply leave the mother here. He highly doubted she would remain put if he began to walk away with her daughter in his arms- No… That wouldn’t work.

Justus glimpsed to the child then to Nakomis, *Please- I don’t want to hurt either of you… I just want the kid and I’ll leave you alone. It’s not even a matter of consideration-* He grew forceful once more, taking up a pose that showed many of his muscles within his large frame, *don’t think I wont get violent with you. You’ve seen what I can do and what I can become, do not make me resort to that in front of your daughter.*

Brow arched as he watched her for a long moment then lifted the child from it’s car seat and quickly took a few steps back from the vehicle. *Now…* His tone was calm, but his characteristics would lead you to believe otherwise.

*On a quieter note- take a deep breath Nakomis, I’m sure we can settle things more serenely, right? I mean, no need to get pushy… What’s her name?* He looked at the young girl with a broad smile, *Will you tell me your name?* He asked her softly before observing the mother once again.

*Now, shit doesn’t need to get violent- but it will if you want it to. If you decided to handle this in a aggressive fashion, I guarantee someone is going to get injured…* He pointed to the child with a slight smirk, *my own son died in a simple fight, it could easily happen to someone else’s kid- get the hint?*

Chuckling softly, Justus shook his head and took a step towards the sidewalk, readying himself to leave. *This is going to end how you want it, doll.*

Nakomis winced and stumbled back as he slapped her. It hurt, hurt alot. No one had ever laid such a violent hand on her, ever. Not since high school, and Landon had dealt with that in seconds. Scott had never bothered her again. Matter of fact, he had moved out of state.

She turned an angry, yet startled face to him. She hadnt fallen, which was something of a miricle. Her shoes wernt made for being pushed around. "Justus no! Please just give me back my daughter!" Her anger had fled in a rush of emotions as he finally got her out of the car seat and began to slowly move away with her in his arms.

By now Tarja didnt really know what to do. she was two but she was old enough to know her mothers worry. She'd seen it before, often actually. Tarja had taken up to duty to make her mother happy when she worried. Her voice was fearful when she spoke the childish words "Ma ma" as she reached out for her mother

Nakomis instinctively reached out for her but looked at Justus with worried eyes. "Please, Justus. She is all i have, she is my only child. You can't just take her from me." she pleaded as she stared at him.

God damn him! Tarja had been forcefully cut from her! she had gone through so much pain before passing out unable to handle it before they took her to let Nakomis herself die along side Sonja, her brother girlfriend. How could this happen and by him! Hadnt Nakomis been through enough? Hadnt Tarja been through enough? "God damn it Justus please! She is my daughter! How could you be so cruel and take her from me!" Her anger returned. As did hot tears running down her pale cheeks.

Suddenly glancing around she realized that she most likely needed to contact her father. If she waited to long it might be to late. Then she would never forgive herself. If she could just get Tarja in her arms she could make a run for it. Cain's studio wasnt far from the park. Driving. Walking it would take twenty minutes, running, for her, well maybe ten. But ten minutes was a long way time to run. That or scream and give Justus the chance of killing her daughter in seconds. She'd rather die fighting than giving up.

Without warning she lunged forwards, her arms reaching out for her daughter as her daughters closed around her. She wrapped an arm around Tarja's tiny body and forcefully shoved justus back with the other. She nearly sunk to her knees as her daughter cried out in a little pain from having ripped her from Justus. But she had to get away.

Her heart was pounding. Pounding so heart it hurt. Sending little jolts of pain. Getting away was more important than her own pain at the moment. Saving her daughter, well she'd die to save her.

She spun turning quickly before she suddenly took off. She was quick, but she could only run for so long. Her shift was for swift kills, not long distance running. Hopefully, like she didnt adapt to her animals personality, she didnt take its other faults. Getting to Cain, Lawrence and Mahna seemed suddenly very important. Mostly because she believed Justus would kill her and Tarja without a blink of an eye. He didnt care, he just wanted to ruin her life.

*fuck you!* Justus burst as he watched Nakomis, shaking his head defiantly as he held the child within his arms, *No- she’s mine, I want her.* He couldn’t understand the connection that bonded mother’s to their children, he had never had the capability of realizing such a attachment with his own mother, and simply assumed that kids were nothing more than toys. This little girl could be the most beautiful porcelain doll.

He was distracted, one hand in his back pocket in attempts of pulling out his cigarettes when out of the corner of his eye he caught onto the quick movement. Nakomis had yanked her daughter from out of his grip, he had gone grab her back but was forcefully shoved back to keep him from doing so.

A snarl ripped through him as he saw her begin to run away with his toy, the thing he now wanted most of all. *I’m gonna fucking kill you.* He breathed as he peered around quickly to make sure there were no spying civilians before he swiftly took up the chase after her.

*NAKOMIS* He roared furiously, *Stop this bull shit, NOW!* He attempted to reach out and grab her but failed in doing so. *This isn’t funny, you’re going to get her killed. I’m going to kill you if you don’t knock it off NOW!*

He could run, but not well. He was fast for a few minutes but slowed considerably if he wasn’t completely in his feline mind set, though that wasn’t an option at this point- his kitty side would much rather kill them both than allow the younger life to continue on.

Drawing in deep breathes he continued after, knowing that Nakomis would eventually have to slow, it would be hard to keep up a fast pace with her daughter in hand.

*Nakomis- I’m going to warn you one last time… * He gasped, but when she made no attempt to slow or quit her fleeing her lunged forwards and grabbed her.

His fingers curled about her upper arm and he viciously ripped her back as he drew himself into an abrupt halt, he held tightly and reached out for the girl to keep them both from falling to the ground. He was breathing deeply and could hardly speak for a few minutes as he attempted to satisfy his lungs, *you bitch- Don’t you EVER do that again.* He snapped, shaking his head before he grew violent once more.

He tore the child from her arms with little care to the damage he could inflicted upon the youngster or her mother. He wanted the little girl with obvious desperation and cared little about what Nakomis wished for. Justus slammed the young woman back against the wall, his hand tightening about her throat as he glowered down at her, *knock it off.* He spat before shoving her to the ground, *You’re not going to win Nakomis- When I want something, I always get it. Understood?*

He clung to the child forcefully before he continued in the opposite direction, heading towards Victoria’s house rather than the park now. He wanted out of her, away from everything so he could take his prize back and reveal it to his beautiful girlfriend.

Nakomis screamed. Screamed as loud as she could as she shoved herself up from the ground in which she had been so forcefully shoved. Her tear filled eyes were on Justus yet again as her daughter suddenly began screaming and crying.

Her body hurt, her heart was a mass of pain, her head ached like it hadnt for years. She hurt in so many more ways than one. But she wasnt going to give up. But the pain made her realize that her shift was near. Unlike most she was easier to make shift. Her emotions were swift and quick to act. While others could control and hold back she had a little harder time when her emotions were very, very high.

It wasnt looking good for her. She had to contact her father, she couldnt do this alone. Grabbing at the wall she pulled herself up and turned to face him walking away from her. "Do not walk away from me Justus! That is My daughter in your arms! I'm the one who spent months with a child growing, i'm the one that got cut open because people know about my family! I dealt with it! i survived it! Not you! You have no RIGHT!!" She was pissed, over emotional and this close to her shift gave her just a little more strength than she normally had.

In only a few long strides she was behind him and did what any other woman would do to another with long hair. She grabbed it and yanked back as hard as she could. She may not have been in any fights, but bring her daughter into it pushed her to her limits. she was a loving mother and very protective. Having her father would make anyone very protective and paranoid.

"You do not want the rest of my family on your back Justus, by god if you want to keep your life you will leave me and my child alone. I know how bad of a man you are, but i've seen the horrible things my family has done to protect each other. But there is a difference, they protect while you just ruin it!" Her frustration, rage and pure panic was making Tarja scream worse, she was crying and reaching out for Nakomis.

Nakomis didnt want to hurt her, she didnt want to rip her out of Justus's arms again. But she didnt know what else to do. She whispered quick apologies to her daughter as she yanked Justus down. Problem was, she was using all her strength while it would take him about less than half. Or just half, to do it to her. It hurt her to move that much and fight back her change. Her change wouldnt help her daughter, nor her.

Grabbing her daughter as Justus was falling she yanked Tarja from her and quickly soothed her before setting her down and telling her to run to daddy's. Cain's studio wasnt far. Just a little down the street after her run. Tarja got excited every time she recongnized the street. Hopefully she'd realize where she was running so Nakomis could keep Justus away from her. she leapt to the side as Justus hit the ground. She decided then to make another run for it and went sprinting after Tarja who listened and was running. Scooping her up she ran again. If she couldnt outrun him, then she needed to find a safe place to shift and then fight him, it was different in that form, she was stronger.

Justus let out a roar of fury and pain as he was brought down to his knees, his grip upon the child was weakened and he wasn’t capable of grabbing onto her as Nakomis pulled her away once again. He was angrier now than ever before, he’d lost most logical capabilities and was ready to tear the dainty woman apart. *You wanna fucking fight…* He said with a low growl as he brought himself to his feet and glowered upon the mother, but seemed to grow excited when she set the child down. He watched curiously for a moment but then grew frustrated when he acknowledged her quick movement to pick up her daughter and begin to run.

*I don’t give a shit what you’ve been through!* He yelled back as he took up the chase once more, *You’re going to go through worst once I get a hold of you, you god damned whore!* He wanted to child more than ever, he wanted it so badly he would kill to get what he needed.

He continued running, though his legs had already begun to ache and his lungs were burning from his sudden exercise, he wasn’t good with chasing, just killing. He was a murderer in his cat and human form, and both similarly vicious and both seemed to be equally dangerous.

*Little bitch-* He cursed furiously as he managed to catch up, not completely but close enough to reach out and grab at Nakomis. He was capable of only letting his fingers skim across her clothing but then it was all downhill from there.

When he attempted to stop her, he came to a halt as well, though he was normally capable of pulling abrupt stops, this one had been awkward. When he reached out to yank her down, his foot slipped from beneath him and he slipped, hitting the cement with his hands with a loud roar of rage.

*God-* He cursed and quickly pulled himself up to bolt after Nakomis once again, he forced his legs to go faster, ignoring the agony that seared within his chest. He wanted the child far too badly to let his own clumsiness get in the way- he would make up for the time lost… *GIVE HER TO ME!* He burst when he caught up and lessened the gap between the, *Gimme the kid- NOW!*

Desperation led him to curl up his fist and then violently slam it into Nakomis’ side in a vicious attempt to send her to the ground. He tore at her daughter, snarling loudly as he tried to pull her away.

Nakomis ran as fast as she could with her daughter in her arms. Up until Justus punched her and she screamed. It hurt. Hurt her worse than she was already hurting. She stumbled and ended up falling to her knees. Her body sheilding her daughter till she could regain her breathing.

Her eyes had turned to that feline hue, with the femile pupils. She turned enough and shoved At Justus with her free hand to make him stumble back before she yelled to Tarja to run to daddy's. It was now only a few doors down. Tarja would know, she was a smart little girl, she'd know.

If Cain and the others were in the middle of practicing then they wouldnt hear Nakomis scream. "CAIN!" She screamed as loud as she could before she pulled herself up and turned on Justus. Nakomis wasnt strong enough for this damn it! She looked younger than she was. "You can't have her!She is mine!" She screamed at him before she lashed out and slapped him as hard as she could across the face before shoving him back away from the direstion in which Tarja was running towards the studio door. Yeah she realized where she was. Problem was, it still took her a few moments to open a door.

Nakomis was now, surpprisingly standing her ground. That was one thing she didnt do often. Fleeing resulted better. It was the men in her family that stood their ground, the women gathered the kids and hid. Tristin couldnt live with himself if the girls or children got hurt. But she wasnt the best one of the girls to throw out into a situation, her mother would be the best, not her.

Her voice must have carried enough to the studio because it opened just as Tarja reached it and she darted in past a pair of long legs. Lawrence was a tall man, taller than her by far and taller even than Cain. He was an amusing man when you got him on a roll. He also loved to hit on her in front of Cain, but not much when they were alone, he just liked pissing his best friend off.

His hair was to his shoulders, and a dark brown. His eyes a pretty green. He was ery thin and always dressed in jeans a shirt and his infamous leather jacket. He looked down as he saw Tarja run in to search for her father who wasnt there at the moment. He and Mahna went to do something before starting to work again for the day.

Lifting his head he quickly shut the door so Tarja was still inside and walked down the three steps to the door and turned his head down the street, his eyes landing on Nakomis and Justus. He knew Justus and didnt like him. Actually the man had nearly killed him before he shifted and escaped. "Nakomis, whats going on?" He asked with just a touch of worry before reaching her and pulling her back away from Justus. He created distance, distance enough to dodge a fast movement and push Nakomis out of the way of harm. Cain would kill him if he let Nakomis get hurt under his watch.

Justus felt the tear jerking sting of her slap across his face, he lifted a hand to touch the tender spot before he let out a low rumbling growl and struck out at Nakomis in return. He slammed his hand as hard as he possibly could manage across her dainty cheek before he let out another snarl, *How dare you-* He whispered as he watched the child run towards the door, *now you’re going to bare witness as I steal your precious little child away from you…*

He moved towards the building but hesitated when the door suddenly opened, *NO- Kid wait!* He cried but then paused when catching sight of the all too familiar figure that stepped outside, shutting the entrance behind him.

Lawrence created the distance between himself and Nakomis but it did not mean that he would allow keeping such a space for much longer. *Well, well, well…* He said with an all too eager grin, *Lawrence isn’t it? How quaint… I had not the slightest hint you two were- well… acquaintances. It has been to long iguana boy, you were far too tricky last time, and so was she… Perhaps this is the only reason why you’ve managed to keep your lives.*

He was breathing deeply as he continued to throw glimpses towards the door, he seemed intent on getting the child and would not cease his chances until he was absolutely sure that he had no possibility what so ever.

Gradually he relaxed his posture and carefully removed the wife beater that adorned his muscular upper body; tossing it aside he smiled slyly before withdrawing a cigarette and lighter from his back pocket. There was a moment of silence as he lit the stick and took in a long drag before returning the contents back to their original placing.

With a mischievous air, Justus took a smug step forward before allowing another and then one more, growing nearer to Lawrence rather than Nakomis. *It’s funny iguana boy, you are prey and she is prey, but her and I hold similar qualities that should make her a predator rather than the victim- but yet, she would make a lovely meal… don’t you agree?* A softened chortle escaped his vocals and Justus’ amber orbs moved swiftly towards Nakomis, penetrating a glower that was indeed ghastly.

*And though I feel the desire to destroy both of you… I really just wanna take MY kid and leave… So if you don’t mind.* He turned and lunged toward the door, his movement was abrupt and startling as he swiftly approached the building, coming to the entrance that the child had fled through.

He threw open the door and entered, though he was an unwanted guest, he walked through as though he owned it entirely. *Wee lass… Where be you?* He said softly, flicking his cigarette aside as he drew in a sharp breath through his nose in hopes of catching her familiar scent.

Nakomis held the side of her face with her free hand as she grabed onto Lawrences arm. Lawrence was more of a gentle being, not to much into the fighting scene, but he'd had his days. Her eyes widened at Justus finally made his way to the door and entered the building.

Lawrence held her back as she made a go for the door and Justus to find her child and hide her. "Lawrence please! He is going to get her! I dont want him touching her again!" She shouted at Lawrence as he quickly calmed her, soothing her with just him being a friend for so long. "Nakomis please, calm down. She knows enough to hide if she can't find Cain or Mahna. He wont find her, even if he trys to scent her out. she's there to much for him to easily find her" He said gently before he grabbed her hand and made sure she remained behind him as he quickly headed for the door.

His words for Nakomis were only meant to calm her and not seak out Tarja's hiding place. The first time Lawrence had played hide and seek with her it took him forever to find her. When he did she had fallen asleep.

Quickly walking in after Justus he moved Nakomis more off to the side of the living room part of the building. Everything else for music was behind a glass door where three desks were and then beyond that was the controls and then the recording part. "You've no right to be here Justus, actually your trespassing on private property. I call the police, they take you away, not to mention attempted kidnapping. Dosnt look good in the eyes of a police officer.. Lawrence always tried talking his way out of things first. When that didnt work, well you figure it out.

Lawrence laughed at the issue about Nakomis being a meal, and him as well. "Actually? No, she dosnt look like a meal to me, i dont eat meat. Now, i suggest you leave before i call the cops. Nakomis, the phone is on Cain's desk." He said and glanced at her. He just wanted her to get into another room and then call the police. She did what he wanted and shut the glass door behind her and quickly picked up the phone and began to dial.

Justus let out a low chortle, the reverberation was similar to that of thunder, the storm that was slowly gaining intensity. This was just the dawn of what devastation he had intended, and the very thought of being pushed around by an iguana and an adorable kitten, only made the thought of destruction all the more satisfying.

He made an effort to disregard Lawrence’s futile threats but finally let out an aggravated snarl, turning upon the man, grabbing him by the neck and throwing him up against the wall. He became uncomfortably close, a questionable closeness that most men would attempt to avoid when confronting another man, but like most felines, Justus was certainly at ease invading anyone’s personal space, no matter what sex.

*Oh please don’t Lawrence…* Justus muttered coyly but then let out a laugh and managed a sneer before continuing, *call the cops boyo. See if I care.* His hands moved down and rested upon his sides, though his grip tightened upon the man’s waist just a moment later as his lips came close to his ear, *My girlie is the richest woman in Rizco, Victoria will have me out of there in an instant if those disgusting pigs try to lock me up…*

He let go of Lawrence with a shove, but hesitated with the mention of Victoria- *oh shit…* He grumbled, he cared little about authority, but the thought of Victoria knowing what he was up to was mildly startling. He despised when she was angry with him or was disappointed with him, it made him feel guilty, and then there would be no sex, and eventually no attention.

Brows furrowed and he frantically brought his hands to either side of his head, turning away from Lawrence he tugged at his hair- *Oh jesus… Fuck…* He punched the wall nearest to him before returning his attention upon Lawrence once more, *Please- I need that kid… I want it…* Justus was sulking, his amber eyes growing astonishingly childish, though the lunacy still lingered within the golden hue. *IT’S MINE! I WANT IT! I WANT HER! I want her… She doesn’t disserve a daughter like that, I do!*

It was like he was five years old, throwing a temper tantrum over a toy rather than an actual living person.

*FUCK YOU!* He burst, then quickly struck Lawrence in the face with his fist, the relief was immense and he quickly did it again, then once more before he winced and shook his hand.

*No… no, no- Don’t tell her what to do. Nakomis… Nakomis come back, I don’t want you in there-* He informed her, and quickly went after her to stop her from entering the office alone. He grabbed the glass door and slid it open, *Please don’t do this princess…* He whispered, a note of exhaustion sounding within his tone, *c’mon girly…* He pulled the phone from her and placed it back onto the receiver, *You’re lovely, and undoubtedly intelligent, so I am positive that you will know that the police will not affect me… They haven’t yet, think of all the people I have killed, all the woman I have raped and murdered- all the men I have tortured then slaughtered… Have I been caught? Captured? Stopped? No.*

He gently pushed her away from the desk, invading her space just as he had done with Lawrence. *What’s her name my dear…* Justus said smoothly, his vocals unusually soothing, almost a purr. It was the voice that cats can use to influence, to push people with their words rather than their actions, *please tell me her name, so I can at least know what I came close to having… then I shall leave you be.* Everything spoken was a lie, but he made it sound all so truthful, it would appear undeniably honest but Justus would never leave until he got what he wished. *Please… Then I shall leave you alone.*

Lawrence winced at the continuous(sp?) Blows from the slightly stronger man. Lawrence wouldnt lie, a tiger was WAY stronger than a damned lizard. He went down with pain heating where the blows had landed. He felt dizzy and suddenly sick as he attempted to regain control of his vision. Fuck, he couldnt even see a damned thing.

Nakomis gasped as Justus came into the room. She was going to hang onto the phone but he'd already taken it. She didnt think staying near the phone was wise, considering he was so close. Her feet began to slowly move back, back far enough till she bumped into the paper scattered deask in which belonged to Lawrence. He never cleaned it.

Her eyes had faded from feline gold to brown and then back again. Though now she was frightened, not to angry. Justus scared the crap out of her. That nd he was getting way to close. She didnt like her personal bubble being invaded. No, and thats what he was doing. But he was being so gentle with his words. His voice was almost soothing. It would have been if she hadnt been with Cain for over three years and listened to his sweet voice and poetic words. Cain soothed her easily, because she loved him. Justus, well it was an attempt to sooth, but it just creeped her out even more.

She was a cat, she knew the voice but didnt exactly obtain it. She couldnt work well with words like that. Oh she was good, but she just didnt know how. She had never needed to use that sort of voice because her already calm, soft voice was all she needed to sooth someone if it ever occured. But she couldnt work her voice so differently like Justus. Or her brother. But he was sometimes to grumpy to use his kitty skills.

Though Justus' words were working. It was beginning to make her even more nervous. Was he telling the truth? Justus? ha, never. But she didnt know him that well, she just knew he wasnt all there in the head. That was obvious.

Staring at him with frightened feline eyes she pressed back against the desk as he still got way to close. Her hands rested on the sharp curve of it, her eyes shifted to the glass walls to where Lawrence was slowly pulling himself up from the floor. She knew he wouldnt do anything unless Justus was hurting her, he was smart, angering Justus would only make things worse. Not like she hadnt already done that. But if he wasnt being violent, well, then no one was going to force him to be violent.

Looking back at Justus she seemed to suddenly believe he would just leave. But not completely. What would be wrong with telling him her daughters name? Actually she didnt want him to have it, it seemed like a sin. Like he could use just the name and get right down and sirty and do something horrible. Like kill her and then Lawrence and find the little two year old.

"Tarja... her name is Tarja..." she whispered softly. she was hoping, really hopping he wasnt lying. For some reason she knew he was. Pausing for a moment she glanced down and then back up at him. "Your going to leave her alone? Please, leave her alone. You can;'t take her Justus... please. She's my only daughter." what she didnt add was that most of her doctors thought she wouldnt be able to have another child. Mostly becaue when Tarja was cut from her, the people who did it hadnt done a very good or nice job. They hadnt cared about her life, just the childs.

Slowly she began to slip away from him from the side. She couldnt stand being that close to someone she didnt love. No, she hated him. He shouldnt be that close. Pressing her hand agaisnt the near glass she looked to him. "Please Justus, just leave, leave me, her and Lawrence alone..." she whispered softly. Her eyes pleading gently with him as she looked into the rather firghtening depths of his eyes.

*Alright.* Justus replied after finding out the name of the child, he carefully let go of her and backed away with his hands raised innocently in the air. *I’m leaving now. I’m going to keep my word princess, I just wanted to know. I’m sorry for all the trouble I have caused and it is quite obvious I have been beaten.*

He continued to use the gentle tone, even has be backed away and opened the glass door and stepped back out then shut the door behind him.

His gaze narrowed upon Lawrence then let out a low snarl, *You better back off Lizard boy, you’re no difficulty for me.*

Justus passed by him and quickly went farther back into the building, moving down the halls and through another set of doors. *Tarja-* He called out softly, attempting to disguise his voice and make it sound just as soothing and kind as it had been before.

*Tarja come out, your mother needs you!* He informed her and continued his search, attempting to follow her scent through the unknown area.

Justus looked hazardous, smelt precarious, sounded risky, and was most obviously dangerous.

His upper body was decorated in tattoos, his arms were covered with them as well as multiple scars. His back had just as much ink as the front, and probably more wound marks, and where they had been an injury the tattoos were mildly contorted.

Tall, muscular and larger than most human men, he caused fear in those who did not know him, and those who did know him, were just as wary.

Brows furrowed and lifted his fingers to his fingers to his chin before letting out a low growl, *Come on out girlie. I need you.*

He had always wanted to be a father, and it was an inspiration that came after his own son had died. At the time he had not wanted to have anything to do with the child, and it had been during the boy’s final days did he begin to realize how much he enjoyed the child’s company.

After he died, he wanted to make up for what he lost , but when Victoria got pregnant, he lost himself sometime during that and beat her into her shift, and in doing so, killed the child.

Now he begged Victoria for another chance at having a child, but was fearful that she would let him down.

He thought he ruined his chance and assumed that another child would make up for what he did.

Fear washed over her and raised her panic once again. Her heart began racing and the pain began there. It was beating so fast it actually hurt. This was the part the affected her head and made her feel dizzy. She couldnt let that bring her down. She had to protect her baby.

"Justus! Justus no! pleased! You said you would leave! Please leave my baby alone. just leave please!" Ahe shouted after him and quickly threw the door open and swiftly followed him. She glanced at Lawrence as he to was heading for where Justus had gone.

The studio wasnt large which didnt give many places to hide. But two year olds often get into everything. Shy and cute or not. Finding nifty places to hide was Tarja's speacial gift. Like Nakomis'. Lawrence slipped through the door before Nakomis. He didnt believe he would do much to convince Justus to go, but he'd rather get hit than have Nakomis get hit for following.

"Justus. You can't do this. Your going to end up seriously hurting them both and the whole family. Think about this for a second! If you take her your going to end up in alot more trouble than you've bargained for." Lawrence paused and stopped Nakomis as Justus went into a room

"Nakomis, you need to call your father, Landon, someone who can deal with him easier. Myself and you arnt much against him... Trust me" He said to her softly, but purposely loud enough so Justus would hear. He wanted Justus off Tarja's trail and worrying about something else. Thing was, he was serious about it. Tristin or Landon needed to be there. Now. Lawrence knew he wasnt a match to Justus. All you had to do was look at the two and you'd know who was stronger.

Lawrenced mouth go to Nakomis. She stared at him with wide eyes and silently shook her head. Nakomis didnt want her father ivolved because he was way over protective. So was Landon. Towards her. They were twins after all. Staring at Lawrence she knew nothing was going to get rid of Justus besides one of her family members. Lawrence wasnt willing to beat the crap out of anyone to the point of death. Tristin and Landon didnt care if they were protecting their family. She'd actually seen her father kill someone. He had blown up a building at one point in time as well. He'd been sent to prision for it to and was on death row before he shifted and just vanished.

Nodding Nakomis looked towards where Justus had gone before she turned around and quickly ran back towards the glass doors of the studio back to the phone.
