you'll want to check this area out after you're character's been accepted. here you can sign your character up for anything from quidditch to the chocolate frog card collecting club. also - don't forget to sign up your charrie in the face claim (and even if you're not done with your application you'll want to go the the face claim to reserve your...well, celeb face).

if your character would like to record any of their deepest desires or darkest secrets, they can have a diary or a journal and do so - without the worry of other characters finding out, as having one is a secret.

beneath hogwarts
everything underneath the actual building of hogwarts (better known as the dungeons) are here, including the potions classroom (holding professor slughorn's office and his private stores), the kitchens, and the slytherin and hufflepuff common rooms.

nothing new here - the entrance hall, the great hall, the staff room, and, unfortunately, filch's office. oh! - don't forget the hospital wing; many a quidditch players have ended up here, as well as transfiguration spells gone wrong. but no matter how you received your malady, madam pomfrey will fix you up.

be wary of the moving staircases! they're the only way up, so you've got to be careful. this floor has its collection of classrooms and offices like almost every floor above it.

up another flight of stairs we go! the frightening myrtle's bathroom is here, an empty classroom. not many people like passing through this floor, as it's rather eery.

the trophy room and armor gallery are here for students to break the rules to clean up, as well as the charms classroom with the bubbly professor flitwick.

the [not-so] beloved library is located on the fourth floor, where students work the butts off on various assignments, and a fully-functional girl's restroom.

the luxurious prefects' bathroom, another empty classroom, a shortcut, and the ancient runes classroom are all on this floor. one of the more pleasant floors, students flock to it more for its restroom and shortcut.

another one of the many floors, including the transfiguration and arithmancy rooms, as well the only boys' bathroom in the entire school - besides the dorms - the poor things.

hogwarts towers
these towers go amazing high in the sky. they provide a perfect place to view the night sky, as well as a wonderful view for dumbledore's office. the towers also give a nice nitch for the divination professor's office, a good height for owls to stay, and a place for the professors and ravenclaws to live.

the great lake
a chilly lake, home to the creepy giant squid (a certain Lily Evans even claims she'd rather date it than James Potter). although it's cold, many daring students swim in it in the earliest fall and late spring until the end of the year.

the grassy lawns
they're most of the grass-filled areas surrounding hogwarts. a great place for sunbathing (when you can), and epic snowball fights. it also holds the terrifying whomping willow, the care of magical creatures class, and friendly ol' hagrid's hut.

the greenhouses
several greenhouses are lined up for learning about the most peculiar plants. some are perfectly fine for anyone to touch, and others might bite your hand off, depending on the greenhouse (which are all lined up by danger level). herbology is taught here, and the older you are, the more painstaking the task.

the quidditch pitch
why, everyone loves the quidditch pitch! practices are here (which by the way, you need to sign up for) as well as the matches, which brings bonding of house-mates, with nearly one every month. the girls' and boys' locker rooms are one of the entries to the pitch, with the broom shed nearby.

the forbidden forest
filled with scary creatures, many rumors go around that werewolves live there - and that rumor is actually only true every full moon, and it's only one werewolf - but the sometimes friendly centuars also hold their grounds here. be careful if you're sent here for a detention, because something might be out there to get you.

hogsmeade
every hogsmeade weekend (posted for third years and up to see), you can trek down to this village near hogwarts, appropriately named for being near the place. filled with many shops and a couple of pubs, it is the most delightful place to do shopping of any kind. (there's a shop guide inside)

diagon alley
perfect for any average witch or wizard's shopping needs, all the students that go to hogwarts come here every august to purchase their school supplies and other things. (there's a shop guide inside)

it's off to hogwarts you go! say farewell to your parents and join your friends on the train that will take you to hogwarts. this train also will take you to and fro on breaks, as well as when the school year is done.

a hospital created long, long ago, all you have to do is step through what looks like a window of an old abandoned muggle building to enter. healers work as hard as they can to keep things working efficiently.
