Gabe ordered a venti White Chocolate Mocha latte and waiting for Sky to order before walking down to where they would hand them their caffeinated beverages. He absently started playing with his lip, where one of his snakebites used to be, and realized he must look real bloody weird fingering his lip for invisible lip rings. He brought himself to stop and was saved by the arrival of his coffee. He sipped it and, although the caffeine was (in reality) shaking his nerves, he found himself somewhat calmer. He lowered the cup from his mouth slightly and watched Skylar, still extremely nervous.

He was actually rather happy when he walked into the small Starbucks in the mall. His shift was over and he had the rest of the day to do whatever the hell he wanted, and this beautiful British boy was with him. He turned his attention to the menu and shrugged lightly. Sky wasn't a hard person to please when it came to coffee, so he ordered a triple shot and paid before taking his drink and looking at Gabe. With a slight smile, he walked off to a table in the back corner of Starbucks and sat down, motioning for the beautiful boy to do the same.

Gabe walked over to the table Skylar selected, taking extreme caution not to trip and make himself look like even more of an accident waiting to happen. He grabbed the chair and flipped it around, straddling it as he sat down, and set his coffee on the table. Running his fingers through his bangs and flipping them to the side, he brought himself to look at Sky and found himself mezmerized by the bright eyes he was gazing at. He offered a nervous smile and muttered, "I'm not usually like that- ya know, such an accident prone bloke."

Sky sipped his coffee as he watched the other boy. He silently wondered just how bright Gabe's eyes were, considering he was blind to blue and any shade of it. To him- blue and yellow looked grey. He rested his arms on the table and smiled lightly at the boys words. "I've seen worse," Skylar admitted with a slight shrug. "Why are you so nervous?" The question was out of his mouth before he had time to stop himself. Sky mentally kicked himself for being such an idiot.

"Um..." Gabe said softly, trying to piece the words together in his head so they would make sense. "Well, you walked in on me in a dressing room, you saw me walking around the store minus me shirt- guess I'm stuck thinking you've got this permanent first impression of me, which you do. And it's really not a brilliant one, is it now, mate?"

He sipped his coffee and replayed what he had just said in his head, semi wishing he could have typed it on his laptop first, proofread and edited it before handing the explanation to Skylar. But he was stuck in reality for now, and he'd have to deal with that. He set the cup down again and tapped his thumb lightly on the table top, alternating between his fingers on his right hand to create a random beat: another nervous habit he had.

Skylar frowned at the boys words. He put his arms on the table and slowly leaned forward so he was closer to Gabe. "I don't judge people on first impressions." Sky admitted softly as he watched the beautiful boy before him. "I've seen a lot- I've done a lot- in my twenty one years on this planet. And... unlike most people, I realized that judging people by first impressions gets you nowhere."

He moved back to his original spot and finished off his coffee. He hardly noticed the affects of the caffeine on his tired and exhausted body. If anything, at least he could blame his shaking hand on the caffeine and not on him needing more drugs in his system. "My first thoughts when I saw you weren't bad."

Gabriel nodded lightly, taking into consideration how many times Sky emphasized his point. He smiled lightly and sipped his coffee again; it always took him forever to finish off what he ordered. He told himself he shouldn't order the huge size, but he always did. And he was regretting it now."So, how long have you been working there? I go all the time and I've never seen you there until today." he commented and resumed his random drumming.

Sky absently brushed his blonde bangs out of his eyes and off to the right side of his face. He let his eyes wander to Gabe's hands, smiling lightly when he saw the nervous drumming. He looked up at the beautiful British boy and played with his lip ring. "Off and on for about a year." Skylar stopped playing with his lip ring and folded his arms on the table. "How long have you been here? Don't think I've seen you before."

"Well, I first came here when I was about 13. Then I went back home at 16, and came back again at 18. So... I dunno, mate- add it all together, I suppose?" He laughed a little and attemtped to finish his coffee. "I really like it here- it's nothing like back home. I lived in this dreadfully dull little place. The only good thing about it was me mates... but we've all grown apart, really. So I came here coz there was nothing for me left there. Don't really know anyone, but I don't mind it."

He nodded lightly as he tapped his index finger on the table. "Most people here are cool, I guess," Sky replied. "They can be assholes, but that's just life." He shrugged lightly and absently played with his lip ring again. "So, how does a beautiful boy like yourself making a living?"

"I work a couple of jobs actually- I'm a waiter in two separate places, and when I find the time I play shows for a bit of cash. It's what I'd really like to be doing, but well... it's just a dream, I suppose. I'm not very good with just meself. Tried to get those old mates of mine to join, but not one was all too serious about it. So I'm trapped living paycheck to paycheck for the most part."

He played with the lid of his still half full Starbucks cup, tracing his finger around the lip a few times before flipping his hair again.

Skylar moved so he was sitting beside Gabe and wrapped an arm around his shoulder, letting the boy know he was there as emotional support. "Musician? What's your special?" Sky asked as he smiled lightly. "Guitar? Vocals? Drums? I'm personally a bassist." He absently brushed Gabe's hair out of his eyes. "And it doesn't hurt to follow your dreams."

Gabe smiled as Sky's arm found its way around his shoulders and he leaned into him, almost instinctively. "I'm a vocalist for the most part. Tried my hand at drums before and I managed alright. Play a bit of guitar as well." He felt himself blushing again as Sky brushed hair out of his eyes. He didn't remember what human contact had felt like since he started shutting people out. Upon hearing Sky's words, his smile turned sad. "When you're on the verge of being evicted and you haven't much money for food and other things it sort of does hurt to, mate."

Sky bit the right side of his lip absently and began to play with his lip ring. The poor boy was suffering and he wanted to help him. But... he wasn't entirely sure how considering he didn't even know how to help himself half the time. "So come live with me," the words were out of Skylar's mouth before he could help it. "I mean... fuck. I don't know. You're a great guy, Gabe, and... I wanna help you."

Gabe raised an eyebrow slightly at Sky's words. "We've only just met- I could be some homocidal rapist and you'd be taking me in." Truth be told, it was the most ridiculous thing he ever thought to describe himself as, but it could be true to a complete stranger. The offer was pretty generous- he hadn't had someone be this nice to him in his entire life; he always had to make it on his own and deal with himself when he fell on his ass. Here was someone, who barely knew him, and he was willing to just take him in. Some people were truly amazing...
