It was a rather nice day out in his opinion- it wasn't too hot and it wasn't freezing cold. He had cut class, but that didn't matter because he didn't know what the hell was going on anyway, and wandered to the park. Once he was there, Zero sat down under a tree and sat his messenger bag beside him, opening it and pulling his laptop out. He hit the power button and sighed, waiting for it to boot up. While his laptop was loading, he turning his attention to the guitar case sitting beside him. With a smile, he pulled his baby- the guitar he named Nyx. The guitar itself was a black Gibson Robot Les Paul Studio Ltd. with a Mahogany neck and silver trapezoid shaped fret markers and was honestly his pride and joy. He opened up one of his files that contained guitar tabs and started to work on the song he was writing.

Kelrym wandered down a winding path, a canvas tucked under one arm, a box of paints and paintbrushes held tightly in his hand. He always came here for inspiration, when he was stuck in a 'creative block' and the wonderful park had never failed to help him with his art. The fact that he occasionally met his dealers here as well was beside the point.

Taking his usual spot under a tall oak tree, he glanced around- scanning the crowds of objects and people- and he spotted him. A smile spread across his lips and he stood up, making his way over to Zero. He sat down beside him and set his blank canvas and box on the ground next to him. Kelrym leaned over slightly and hugged Zero, basking in the wonderful feeling of coincidence.

Zero was strumming his guitar, playing around with chords as he tried to figure out what sounded better together. He was just about to sigh and give up when he felt someone hug him. The nineteen year old blinked and slowly looked up only to find Kelrym sitting beside him. A smile danced on his lips as he returned the hug.

When he pulled away, he carefully sat Nyx down on the grass and pulled his laptop closer. After minimizing the Word window, he pulled google up and pulled up his translator. Without hesitation, he started to type. "Hey. What brings you here?"

"Haven't got a clue what to do for my project, so I came here." Kelrym typed before setting up his canvas and opening his box. He laid out an assortment of paintbrushes so he could choose one and then started pouring some oil paints on a cardboard palette. He looked at Zero and then at the guitar he had set down.

"I've got a Les Paul as well. Custom Goldtop though. How long have you been playing?" He typed into the laptop and dipped his paintbrush into a dark green paint then started creating images on the canvas.

"Ah," Zero replied as he moved so he was laying on his stomach. The laptop was sitting in front of him and the wind was blowing his hair lightly. "I cut class. Figured making music was better than sitting in a room and pretending I knew what the hell was going on." He let himself watch Kelrym set everything up, silently wondering what the boy would paint. "I wanted a silver one, but they were sold out. Never really liked the gold." Zero smiled lightly as he replied. "Since I was 12 or so. How about you?"

"Since I was 10 or so, I guess. I sort of lost track over the years, to tell the truth." Kelrym replied and returned to his portrait. He let his brush flow over the paper freely, making his task seem so incredulously simple even though it was far from it. He cleaned off his brush and dipped it into some a crimson colored paint and continued to work. He glanced up at Zero occasionally, adding in the details as they appeared to him, and smiled the entire time.

He nodded lightly and fixed his hair. He wished that he remembered to bring his hat. Then he could keep his hair out of his face and stop it from getting all messy and nasty looking. Zero played with the side of his lip as he pondered if he should play 21 questions with the other boy. With a slight shrug, he started to type. "How old are you? I know you're a senior considering you saved me at that party..."

"I'm 20, going on 21... eventually." Kelrym laughed and set his paintbrush down. "I started school kinda early, so I think I'm the youngest of most of the seniors, at least the ones I've met. What about you? You don't look like a freshie." He typed out quickly with his ninja!typing skills.

He uncapped a few different paints and poured them out before turning his attention to Zero again.

"Move a little closer, I wanna get your eyes right." He typed afterwards.

"I'm nineteen," he replied. "I'm just really smart. I could've graduated two years early but I didn't because of my parents. Got a full ride here on grades." Zero smiled lightly and sat up, moving closer to Kelrym as he brushed his hair out of his eyes.

"Better?" He typed before he picked up his guitar. He absently began to strum the strings, letting a harsher sounding melody come out. It was a song he had been working on for a while, and it was directed at his parents and their abusive ways.

Kelrym waited a few moments before replying with the laptop, not wanting to break the flow he had as he painted in the details of one of Zero's eyes. He typed with one hand, still holding the brush in the other, "Wow, really? I'm struggling my way through trying to pay. Had a scholarship, but I kinda lost it..."He sort of regretted typing it in, but figured Zero would either become a really good friend (maybe something more) or ditch him completely.

He nodded lightly and sat his guitar down again. He was one of the freaky genius kids back home, and here wasn't much different. Now he just needed to overcome the fucking language barrier... Zero frowned at Kelrym's words. He hugged the other man lightly, not wanting to mess him up while he was painting. "I could help you keep your grades up to try and get your scholarships back. I mean, if you want..." He typed.

"Might be a little too late for that. It's my last year, so by the time I actually get my grades up I'll most likely be done with school. Thanks for the offer though." Kelrym typed slowly, without looking as he simultaneously painted. He finished with Zero's eyes and progressed onto his hair, which would be fun to capture seeing as it was flying in every direction imagineable.

He nodded lightly. "You're welcome." He had the overwhelming urge to sing, but decided against it. After all, Kelrym wouldn't be able to understand him and people would look at him funny. Zero sighed lightly and rested his head on Kelrym's shoulder and watched him paint. Part of him missed home and being able to understand people, but the other part of him knew moving here was the best thing to do. At least he wasn't covered in bruises and cuts anymore...

Kelrym let his head rest against Zero's as soon as he felt the weight on his shoulder. He was used to sitting in positions like this- he'd done it many times with Codes- and it didn't interfere with his painting at all. Painting was second nature to him, he didn't even have to think about it like most of the other kids in his art classes.

"Sing something for me and I will for you." He typed as he added finishing touches to Zero's hair.

"You won't be able to understand me," Zero pointed out with a slight smile. "And I wont be able to understand you. Guess we could always translate the lyrics..." He giggled lightly and smiled contently when Kelrym rested his head against his own.

With another smile, he began to sing. Kako god tvrd ja probati, te biti nikada zadovoljan. Današji nije jedan dom, ja misliti ja sam bolji undress sam. Te uvijek nestati, čak i kada te biti ovdje. Današji nije moj dom, ja misliti ja sam bolji undress sam." As he sang, he typed up the words and hit translate.

"No matter how hard I try, you're never satisfied. This is not a home, I think I'm better off alone. You always disappear, even when you are here. This is not my home, I think I'm better off alone."
