She's used to sun, warmth, and a large population count. Forks, Washington, is a small, humble little town - in fact, its high school student body is only about three hundred students. But if there is one outstanding characteristic of Forks, it is how often it rains. It rains nearly everyday - and if it isn't raining, it's usually overcast. It's a rarity for the people of Forks to see the actual sun. And Bella Swan is about to move there to live with her biological father, Charlie Swan (Police Chief Swan to the people of Forks.) Needless to say, Bella isn't particularly happy abou this change - trading her already somewhat monotonous life for an even duller one - but things for Bella are about to change more than she ever could have imagined. The Cullen family is somewhat avoided in Forks - though they've never given anyone reason to believe that they are unfriendly. The rather large family consists of Carlisle and Esme Cullen, mother and father figure, Alice, Emmett, and Edward Cullen, and Rosalie and Jasper Hale. They are a relatively normal family - though Mr. and Mrs. Cullen adopted all of the teenagers, taking them in and caring for them. Of course, what no one knows is that they aren't a real family - they are actually a coven of vampires. Luckily for the people of Forks, however, these vampires are 'vegetarians' - they don't drink the blood of humans. Bella and Edward meet in their Biology class, and what follows is a windswept love story. The two battle countless odds, stirring up the little town of Forks like never before. Now it is planned that the two will marry, and in just a few short weeks. But there is a twist - the werewolves of La Push Reservation aren't too happy about the match, especially Jacob Black, who just so happens to be in love with Bella as well. On top of all this, the guest list for Bella and Edward's wedding is including quite a few vampires. And in all of this the people of Forks, as well as the other vampires and werewolves, play a huge part. What happens in this stirring story?
