WELCOME TO L&L
Welcome to LION && LAMB - a literate Twilight roleplay set after Eclipse, but with a few twists of our own.
The tensions between vampires and werewolves are already to an extreme high in Forks, Washington. And now there is a new coven - swaying between staying crimson-eyed or becoming "vegetarians" - in Forks, drawing an ever-increasing population of werewolves. And, of course, the Volturi is watching the events in tiny Forks with a close eye, just waiting for an excuse to execute them all. Meanwhile, with all of this activity and the two species on the verge of war, the humans in Forks are at risk, and most don't even know it.
Life in a small town isn't so great anymore.

NEWS & UPDATES
January 26th, 2009

Welcome to Lion and Lamb! We aren't finished here yet - we are just undergoing some changes. A face lift, I suppose. We are busy clearing out dead and inactive thread to make our site beautiful again but we are still looking for canons and new members! The ones we need the most are the remaining members of the Cullen clan and the rest of the mysterious Sólás Coven!

Originals are welcomes but there are no golden eyes and we hope you will take a look at the canons first! Site updates are posted here and the canons can be found here! We are putting a halt on advertising as of now - we aren't able to advertise back and so I don't want this site to be a free for all.

If you have any questions, please don't hesistate to contact Edward Cullen by checking for contact information here. This is a time when we need your help to keep L&L up and running - I adore this site too much to let it die and I know our members care about it too!

THE RULES!

Yes, you have to read them.
Yes, they are important. And
yes, there is a super secret
phrase inside that you have to
know. So basically...read!

GENERALLY!

RESPECT AND OBEY THE STAFF. This should be written in everyone's mind - I don't tolerate disrespect. I try not to get on to anyone, but sometimes it's necessary. If I ask you to stop doing something, just stop doing it. Don't start getting all rebellious and angsty. Come on. Consequences on this will vary depending on circumstances, but if it continues incessantly I can promise you I am not afraid to ban people.
BE TOLERANT AND MATURE. I know that not everyone is going to get along and not everyone is going to see eye-to-eye, but nevertheless that does not give anyone the excuse to be rude or mean. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Seriously. I really can't stand OOC fights, it irks me like crazy. So I don't want to see them, okay? If you wish to settle a matter in a mature fashion, please take it over pms. NOT IN THE CBOX! And if you cannot resolve it, contact a staff member.
DON'T GO CRAZY WITH CURSES. I don't mind cursing here and there. It's fine, we're not children. But I'll tell you something that I don't find very pretty, or mature - frankly I think it's a little stupid. I don't like a million curse words all together. It's annoying and unbecoming. So yeah. A little bit is fine. Just don't go overboard, and you're good.

REGISTERING!

REGISTER WITH FIRST & LAST. Make sure you register with your character's first and last name in all capital letters. You cannot change your name on InvisionFree, only an Administrator can. Therefore I better not have to change everybody's name. xP
ONLY ONE PLEASE. One character per account. I don't like having one account with a ton of characters on it. It's not neat or organized, and so just make sure to have one account for each character. With that said, you are limited to FOUR characters starting out. If you have managed to keep those up and active for a bit and want another, just ask an Admin - if they tell you no, then it's a no. Don't argue.
WITH A CANON. If you are wanting to go after a canon, register the same as you would with an original. First and Last name, all caps. If it just so happens you don't get that canon, message an Administrator with a different name and we will change it for you. Also, and this should be obvious, don't register with a canon that is taken. If you see their name striked out, they are unavailable. So don't register with them.

JOINING!

ABOUT THE TEMPLATE. Fill it out completely, and nicely. I want detailed descriptions, good quality paragraphs, and some of your best writing, if you please. Take your time and make it worthwhile. If you don't and you slap it together we may just deny it, and what would the point in that be? If something doesn't apply to you, mark it with "N/A".
NO ROLEPLAYING UNTIL. You are prohibited from roleplaying, or participating in plotting charts, posting in cell phones, im, etc., or claiming anything for your character, until your application has been accepted. If you're found doing this anyway the posts you've made will be deleted without warning.
FOR THE CANONS. If you are joining as a Canon, first make sure to reserve it in the Canon thread. After you have reserved it, you only have four days in which to finish your application. If you haven't finished it by that time, then I will delete your app and your account. There are no exceptions - these are canons, and are wanted by more than one person. If you're going to be gone and you haven't finished, it will still be deleted. Sorry. Four days is plenty of time to complete an application. If it is accepted, I will claim it for you. I will be tougher on Canon apps than on Original apps. Also, with that being said, major characters in the movie must be played by who they were played by in the movie. For example, Bella must be played by Kristen Stewart. Get it? Got it? Good.

ROLEPLAYING!

WE'RE LITERATE, FOLKS. Meaning? This roleplay is not for beginners. More along the lines of intermediate to advanced. Sorry, guys, we're not hating on all of you who are new to the roleplaying world, or who don't write very good quality posts, yet, but that's just how it is. From now on I am expecting five hundred word posts, and I'm not going to be taking exceptions often, if at all. Even if you're museless, you can ramble. Write a paragraph on how pretty the sky looks today, or whatever you can think of.
GRAMMAR & SPELL CHECK. Cherish the spell check. It was put there for a very good reason. Cherish the word count. It too was put there for a very good reason. Also, I'm pretty sure we've all attended English class - use your grammar skills, people! And if you want to occasionally spruce up your posts, I recommend thesaurus.com.
TAG YOUR POSTS! It's simple. To avoid confusion or annoyance when someone you didn't want replying to your post replies to it, tag your posts. Either with the name(s) of the people you want to reply, or with an 'open' tag, therefore people know that anyone can reply
ANY PERSON ROLEPLAY. Third person, first person, hey, even second person (although that would be weird) - you can play them all. Granted, some might be uncomfortable playing with different 'persons', in which case you two can figure something out. I personally don't mind playing in two different persons, however, so feel free to roleplay however you want.
GET A PLAY BY. Make sure that you have a play by - also known as 'face' - for your character when you join. You can use models, actors, even musicians if you must for your character. It isn't very difficult at all to find one - there are quite a few sites dedicated to that type of thing. [/color]This is just one of the sites where you can find a play by.
GET A SIG AND AV. Please try to get an signature and avatar for your character as soon as possible - or at least just an avatar/just a signature. If you can't make graphics (which, unfortunately most of us can't x] ) then there are quite a few sites that you can visit where members will gladly make them for you. Try RPGC, RCR, or RPGU. They are all wonderful sites to go to for graphics as well as other resources and great, friendly member bases!
BEHAVE YOURSELVES. I don't want to see god-modding. Or powerplaying. Or mary-sues/gary-stus. All of these things are completely banned. So what are these things? God-modding usually occurs in a fight, when your character, no matter how many times your opponent strikes out, is never, ever harmed. That's not realistic. I don't care how good your character is. They can't not ever be harmed! Powerplaying is either when your character always strikes and hurts a character without fail, or when you kill a character without permission, or when you enforce your character's will upon others. (For example, don't have your character pick up someone else and throw them.) Mary sues and Gary stus are perfect characters. No one is perfect. Don't make your character perfect.

THE CHAT BOX!

The C-box rules are simple and customary. No Advertising. We have a board for that, and it annoys me. No spamming. That means posting a million of the same messages at once. Very annoying. Don't do it, I will ban your IP address. No racist/sexist/biased comments. Don't diss on someone's race, sexual preference, gender, or religion, mmkay? Don't even diss on someone's character - it's rude. Don't fight in the C-box. It's immature. And that's about it. <3
