There were so many endings in RotK...it was kinda long but it was a good ending. I wish they told us more about what happened to Leggie and Gimli, though.

As far as I know, the two went around and explored Middle Earth. After Aragorn died they both sailed west. (RotK Appendixes)

Because that's all J.R.R. Tolkien said about them. They went to see Fangorn forest and the Glittering Caves, so it's not much.

As much as I love the "ending" for ROTK a voice over by Galadriel explaning what became of the Fellowship and the others after The Third Age wold have been really nice. Maybe for the 20th anniversary?
