Running always running. This was Jun’s pace. & the boys were on her ‘ship’ now. So I was her pace or walking. & ride was a pleasure. She loved to ride. To her everything about riding was liberating. To ride was to taste freedom for it was a smoothing pace, a lullaby of the moving world, and the song of the wind through her hair. But not all felt her freedom. Zuko for example could never taste her freedom for he was caught in the endless cycle of want. He wanted the avatar. Now Nousagi on the other hand probably felt this freedom all the time because he seemed to be caught in childish innocence. But for this moment she fee. A small excited smile on her face, her hazel eyes glassy , and her get black hair flickering past he face. This was her freedom. But the good thing never last. Claws sinking into the earth skipping halt. Guess they were there. It was not much of a sight mainly ruins. Great this was not going to be much help. She turned in her seat so that she could face the boys. “Well we are here” was all she said before she jumped on Nyla and stretched. After all they had been riding for some time for they left with the cover of night and now the sun had arisen. Great the start of another day only to find nothing but crumbled stone.

This Aint a Scene, It's an Arms Race

[Zuko]

The ride was uncomfortable almost unbearable to be so close the whole way. Well finally here now. Zuko looks out towards the ruins. “High up there ehh? Can this thing climb? We need to get up there and see if there is any way we can find something or find a scent he may have on him still. Damn! I don’t know he should have been here!” No signs of the bison the whole way. Could they of gave me the slip and headed back to the south nation? Why would they put them back in danger. Hmm there is an earth nation area Kyoshi island or whatever maybe there. “Well they may of went to Keoshi Island ever been there? If this doesn’t work out we will look there. So can this climb?” Zuko holds on tight expecting a quick run.

[Nousagi]

(OOC: I'm kind of confused as to whether we're on Nyla right now or off of her, so if this seems strange, let me know. XD)

If there was any sort of discomfort in the ride, Nousagi didn't notice it at all. He was too interested in the ride itself to notice anything else. He enjoyed the feeling of the beast running beneath him and the scenery rushing by. He was also surprised Nyla could move so quickly, especially with three people. She didn't seem like the type of creature made for agility.

"She's not a thing; she's Nyla!" Nousagi snapped at Zuko. He then patted Nyla's side and cooed, "Isn't that right?" In truth, he was also wondering if Nyla could climb. It seemed like quite the terrain to traverse by one's self. Still, while catching the Avatar was important to Nousagi, they could've slowed down a bit. He allowed a private smile to himself, thinking of hte day that Zuko might realize that there were other things in the world to think about. It would be good for him.

Occ: Your fine.^^ Jun was off Nyla but now she is back on and they are climbing.

She grinned at Zuko’s question but she never stopped to answer him with words. Instead he got the sound of her cracking whip as she jumped back unto Nyla & the rumble of claws hitting the dirt. This time Nyla ran as fast as her little paws could take her. Then as when it looked like they were going to run straight into the wall Jun cracked her whip again. This time Nyla shifted her weight to her hind legs and sprung forward. Now this was a rough ride. Small rocks flew around them as Nyla claws dug into the earth. It was a treacherous climb. If some one let go the would fall. So with that thought in mind Jun never let her eyes of the boys. She did not want to save anyone if they fell but she also did not want to clean up any messes. It was not like she was afraid to get dirty but she did not relish the thought of picking up a dead corps. The seconds seemed like minuets but they had made it to solid ground. It was not much to look at. Mainly ruins. Though at one time it could have been grand, but now it was reduced to nothing more than rubble.

[Zuko]

Zuko jumps down. and starts to look around "Good you two are through, go look elsewhere and leave me alone up here" He turns glaring at them. "If you find anything worth looking at let me know." Zuko begins walking away towards one of the main chambers or so it looks like.

I need to think about this and I cant do that with that kid with me and that random mercenary. I’m sure Iroh would have something useful to say to me about now. What is he sick? Eat to much? Drink to much tea? He hadn’t come out of his quarters much in the past few weeks. Not like him at all, bah oh well lets have a look around. Zuko turns to make sure they were leaving.

[Nousagi]

"Whoa!" Nousagi said, though cheerfully. Needless to say, he was a bit surprised at Nyla's sudden advance. Even more shocking was the fact that she could scale the wall so quickly. He held on tight as Jun had instructed, but, of course, he took the time to enjoy the ride. Being nearly horizontal without lying down on something was, needless to say, an odd sensation; the fact that he was moving at high speed at the same time was even more exhilirating. If he imagined that Nyla wasn't there, it was almost like he was falling up.

With that excitement gone, new excitement was there to take its place. Nousagi was definitely ready to explore these ruins, but that was before Zuko gave the order that he did. Nousagi masked his disappointment with a two-fingered salute and a bright, "Yessir!" With that, he stepped forward into the ruins. He wasn't entirely sure if he and Jun were meant to go together, so he said nothing and allowed her to go where she pleased. But, before he was out of view, Nousagi stopped and turned around to glance at Zuko. His brow held a look of concern for his friend, as he could only imagine what was running through Zuko's mind on a daily basis to make him so angry.

She gave a slight sigh as she shrugged her shoulders. ‘Well this was worth the trip. We are not going to find any good scent here. & Zuko just walked off. Great Mr.Issues is not going to be of much help. We better split up and search this forsaken dump.’ these were the thoughts going through her head as she watched Zuko walk off. Then she jumped of Nyla back and landed quite gracefully. She turned to Nousagi and spoke “Well lets split up & meet back here in an hour” she said before she started to walk in the opposite to the direction that Zuko took.

Well she started took look around but in this maze there was nothing that would be off any value when it came to finding the Avatar. So after maybe thirty minuets or so of walking aimlessly. She started to find her way back to tend to Nlya. So what if she was early Nyla need to be tended after the long ride.

[Zuko]

Zuko walks back towards the area he left the others he calls out. “Hey everyone come here!” He waited for the others to show up and check in to see what they have found. If anything. He had found nothing but at least he had made up a decision, a plan of action if you will in order to find this kid.

Not that I care what they will think about this plan but I wonder how they will react. Nousegi will most likely be hurt or upset and Jun will maybe be worried about her pay, well ill pay her a good deal before she leaves. That is as long as she accepts the job.

[Nousagi]

Walking through the rubble and ruins of the Southern Air Temple, Nousagi couldn't help but feel that the whole ordeal was a waste. He understood the Fire Nation's desire to kill the Avatar, but couldn't they have tried to figure out who it was instead of obliterating an entire race of people? Then again, his patriotism was clashing a bit with his internal beliefs. On that same note, what patriotism should he have had for a country that exiled him for speaking his opinions? He wasn't sure if Zuko knew the exact reason as to why Nousagi was exiled. Maybe he would tell him some day. Then again, the boy didn't want his friend to feel guilty.

If there was conflict before, there really wasn't any now. Nousagi bent down to find a lovely necklace, clearly made for a woman. It must have been made by a suitor of some sort, as the Southern Aire Temple only housed male nomads. Nousagi's personality was a bit immature, but one had to keep in mind that he had been through more than your average kid. He had a very mature side to himself too, and he could make decisions for himself. It was at that moment that he decided that the massacre of the Air Nomads had been wrong. But, regardless of that, helping Zuko was more important.

Well, speak of the devil. Just as these thought's were running through his head, Nousagi was beckoned by Zuko, "Coming!" he said brightly, appearing far more chipper than his thoughts were. He left the necklace on the ground where it was. Its meaning was significant to him, but not to his goal, "What's up? Did you found something?" he asked upon reaching Zuko once more."

[Zuko]

Zuko waited for almost 20 minutes until he started to talk. “Well it looks like she left. Anyways lets get back to the ship and head towards the southern water tribe. He may of doubled back. OR someone there may know his intentions." Zuko turned before Nousagi could respond. He was being impatient and did not want to wait for anyone if he wanted to talk he can do so during the small trip back to there ship.

[Nousagi]

"Oh...that's sad," Nousagi muttered. He thought that the three of them could've been friends, travelling around in the way that they had been already, "So no more Nyla, huh?" He had actually been very interested in the great beast, if only because it was unfamiliar and talented. Either way, he couldn't stay down for long. That just wasn't in his persona.

"Yessir!" he pealed brightly, quickly following in step behind his leader.
