Practice had gone extremely well today. The girls' energy was up, as was their motivation - for reasons Suki was dubious of, but then again she couldn't care less - and this showed in their movements, which were clarified and extremely beautiful to watch. Suki hadn't bothered to run home and change out of her Kyoshi Warrior uniform, which was a bit heavy. So she was still clad head to toe with the silken green dress, and her face was made up with the striking face paint. It was pretty easy to spot a Kyoshi Warrior, that was for sure.
Suki felt jubilant, but oddly enough, despite her outrageously happy mood, she felt the need to be by herself, alone. She wanted to roam through the woods and think to herself; possible evasive maneuvering or more likely offensive strategy. Like all the girls said, Suki's mind was almost always on ways to make them better. While most of the time they saw it - as far as Suki knew - as a helpful thing, something that made them more powerful, occasionally they grew annoyed. But Suki was first and foremost a free spirit; controlled by no one and happy to live her life without complications. But being a Kyoshi Warrior made her happy, and she put pretty much everything into it. Plus, they were the warriors of the island. The people keeping everyone else safe. It was as important as anything that they be prepared. Just in case.
And though her uniform was beginning to weigh more on her, she began to jog, and then finally sprint towards the woods; she loved to be within them. She felt safe and covered, as though a giant quilt were protecting her from the world. Smiling, she closed her eyes, throwing her head back as she ran, allowing her feet to lead her instead. Hardly anyone she knew came out here; most people in Kyoshi didn't particularly like to be alone. Practically all of them were extremely social people.
She was just beginning to get into her possible evasive maneuvering strategies when she heard footsteps running her way, in front of her. She opened her eyes, just managing to scurry out of the way before they collided. She stopped, blinking, breathing heavily, and eyed the boy she'd almost ran over.
She'd seen him a few times around Kyoshi, but they'd never technically met. She didn't even know his name. The panther traveling with him wasn't a surprise either, from what she'd seen it was pretty much always with him. She frowned, but walked over to him.
"Hi," She said, inarticulate. Most people tended to stay away from this boy, they'd classified him as an oddity. Why was that? What made him so different? Or was he completely normal, and people just jumped to conclusions.
"Sorry about nearly running into you," She continued, a smile turning the corners of her mouth,
"I didn't know anyone but me ever came out here." They weren't quite to the woods yet, but it was up ahead. Pausing, she extended a palm, wearily,
"Suki," She introduced herself, and then, not being able to help herself, she eyed the feline.
"Is he friendly?" She wondered aloud, lacing her fingers together in front of her. For now, her evasive and offensive maneuverings were forgotten. She was preoccupied. She was curious.
[Heh, hope it's alright that I acted out them meeting. Wasn't sure what to do, or if he's in the woods or anything, but ehhh....]
