hey guys. so i'm packing for another year of horse camp, and i just was wondering if you guys had any like obscure things that the normal person wouldn't think to pack ;) i'm bringing Red again.
i've already got the obvious stuff. like jeans, bras, shirts, undies, etc. like for me i'm covered. but i'm just wondering if there is some obscure and random stuff that you've found useful if you've ever done anything like this. :)
thanks ladies!

The only horse camp I went to was where the camp had the horses and you just brought yourself, so dont think I'll be of much help :)

Same here. But I would think of it as packing for a show, sooo..
Bring extras of everything. Extra halter, leads, bridle, saddle pads, girth, helmet, gloves, etc. If something breaks and you're up there, you'll want to have extras. Bring extra food/supplements/hay/medication for Red, just in case something happens (end up staying out there longer, get stuck on the road somewhere, etc.) Bring wraps incase he pulls a typical horse move and hurts himself. Bring some topical ointment incase he decides he wants to cut himself. Bring lots of fly spray.
If it's not close to home, find out about some local vets and farriers up there and get their phone numbers before you leave, just in case.
Remember his coggins!
For you, also bring extras of everything. Don't forget sunscreen and bug repellant.

Sunscreen, bug spray, and basic toiletry items! I actually have a separate toothbrush just for traveling because I always forgot mine, I would just put it back where it belongs in my bathroom after brushing my teeth and completely forget to stash it in my bag.

Also, if you have/use it, aloe vera in case you get sunburnt and arnica/Deep Heat in case you get bruises and sore bits! :P
