Trysten hadn't seen anyone since he's been back, but he needed to see Carter and tell him what happened. He knew that he hurt Carter, but he needed to leave and gather himself. He knew what he needed to do, but it was only the fact of if he would want to talk or not. So Tryst got in his car and started towards the familiar house that he'd been to so many times, Carters. He knew there was a big chance that he might just be gone, but he prayed that he was home. As he drove, he thought about what he could say to the guy that would try to explain what happened and why he left without a word. As he pulled up, his nerves started taking over and before he could back out, he pulled out his phone and texted him quickly 'Look out your window...' Now he had to wait to see if Carter would reply, and that was the worst part for Tryst.

Carter looked up when he saw his phone buzzing across his dresser. Part of him wanted to just ignore it, but he knew he shouldn't, if it were an emergency he world feel guilty. He pulled himself off of the couch in his room and grabbed his phone. He felt a lump form in his throat, he wasn't sure if he was ready to face Trysten yet, but he knew he had to. He couldn't stay mad at Trysten forever. Carter moved to look out his window and sighed shaking his head when he saw the car and his 'brother' waiting nervously. Carter walked outside without answering the text and crossed his arms as he walked out to his friends car. Carter was not usually an angry person, but Trysten leaving and not saying anything hurt him, it didn't only hurt Carter, it hurt Carter's father and now Step mother. They all loved Trysten and were worried, Carter knew that Luke had been worried, so for Trysten to just disappear without warning from the people that actually cared about him, was inconsiderate, no matter what the reason.

Carter made it to Trysten's car and sighed "come inside, my Dad isn't here but Linda (step mom) is and I'm sure she would be happy to see you alive..." He sighed "we can talk inside, it's way too hot out here"

Trysten leaned against the hood of his car, hoping that Carter would talk to him, but when he didn't get an answered text, he was beginning to worry. He knew what he did was wrong, but he had his reasons and the leaving changed him. When he heard the door open, he stood up and then noticed Carter coming towards him with his arms crossed. Oh god..he was angry and that wasn't something Trysten was used to. He saw movement in the window, but ignored it, knowing that it was Carters stepmom. He looked into Carters eyes and sighed, hating that he hurt him this much. "...Alright..." He locked his car and waited for Carter to lead the way into the house.

"I'm not angry with you Trys, I'm sorry if it comes off that way, I was hurt and worried and so were my parents. I think I'm just ... So relieved that you are okay... That you aren't dead or dying somewhere. I'm just... I know you're not used to the whole ... Close knit family thing, but you're a part of this family and in this family we let each other know where we are okay? No matter what the situation... You let us know... That is what families do, okay?" Carter sighed "you know before you sent me that first text... My Dad was actually going to file a missing persons report... He was scared to death and if you still lived with us, you would be so grounded. 21 or not, he would ground you" Carter smiled a bit and opened the door.

As soon as they were inside, Carters step mom walked right up to Trysten and hugged him tight, kissing the older boys cheeks and then the top of his head. "are you okay? Are you hungry? Oh honey, I'm so glad you're home and okay" she hugged him tight again "i am going to make you cookies... You're favorite, so you can't leave for a while" she said before running off.

Carter watched and then smiled at Trysten "Welcome home bro"

Trysten listened to Carter. He never really had a close knit family because he was always left out, so this was all a new to him. When Carter talked about his dad going to file a report, Trysten's head popped up and look at him worridly. He never meant to worry them that much. He really hadn't. He just needed to get away from everything for a while. He hated that he hurt the people closest to him and looked down, before following Carter into the house. Once in, Trysten looked shocked when he felt arms around him. He hadn't seen Carter's step mom coming towards him, but now that he knew it was her, he hugged her back. "I'm fine. I'm not hungry, but thank you. But I ju-....nevermind." He said in between hugs, then she was off. As weird as that was, he missed it. He looked at Carter and couldn't help but start laughing. "Good to be back..."

Once the woman was out of the room, Carter pulled Trysten into his room and sighed shaking his head. "Glad to have you back... Just know that next time you decide to do something like that, I will personally hunt you down and kill you..." Carter smiled, obviously he couldn't kill Trysten, but still, Trysten had to know that it was not okay. "You'd better work up an appetite, she just went grocery shopping. She's going to cook the entire kitchen" he laughed and then fell onto the bean bag in his room. "sit down... Get comfortable... We have talking to do.. Tell me about California"
