Say hello to Lydia Angela Meadowes! She can also be called Liddie or Lyds, but mostly she's known as "Dory's sister" or "the other Meadowes girl". She's Dorcas' twin, dyes her hair blonde and keeps it long so people can tell them apart, and permanently lives in the shadow of her fifteen-minutes-older sister.

FRIENDS!

Lydia is very quiet and doesn't like to get in anyone's way, so you're probably going to need to start the conversation. But once she gets to know people she's a very good friend, she's happy to listen and help in whatever way she can. I think more people would like her simply because she's not as in-your-face as Dorcas can be XD

LOVERS!

Unlike her darling twin, Lydia is a virgin. She doesn't have many relationships because she tends to think that the boys are only interested in her because they think she's like Cassie. She had her first kiss "stolen" by Sirius Black (in his defence though he didn't know she hadn't been kissed before and he did apologise after Dory shouted at him). She needs a nice boy that is patient (although not shy because she does need someone to bring her out of her shell) and won't rush her into anything. Total bastards that just want a shag can also try but be aware that they won't get into her knickers as she's smarter than that, and Dory will "rip your f***ing balls off" when she finds out that you've tried to pressure her sister into sex.

ENEMIES

It's hard for me to imagine her with enemies simply because she doesn't do anything to piss anyone off XD Most will simply be enemies by association i.e. they don't like Dorcas so they don't like Lydia either. She has also told off a few people for spreading rumours about her twin, she does it quietly, but obviously no one likes to get a scolding so some people will dislike her for that.

And as usual if your character is a bit unsure of how they feel about Lydia then wave at me and we'll see what we can think up!

I could really see Em and Lydia getting along, since they're both a bit more on the refined and school oriented side. Emmeline would certainly respect her work ethic. She would also be sympathetic (wow, randomly spelled that 'sympathetique.' Evidently I think I'm still taking French...) to Liddie's feelings about being in Dory's shadow. After all, she has to live up to the Vance expectation. But, she would also push Lydia to work harder and make a name for herself independent to Dorcas. The only thing I could see them really butting heads over is Dorcas. I'm certain Em wouldn't like her, and Dory would probably not want them friends, since Emmeline would likely inadvertently patronize Liddie just out of the nature of her personality.

Bellatrix: Well she wouldn't like Lydia but Lydia luckily doesn't have to worry about her because Bella is no longer in school. However after her and Dorcas get out of school and Dork joins the Order, Bella is likely to make Lydia a target in order to force Dork to do what the DE want.

Sirius: He probably would try to be friendly with her ever since that kissing incident, just to be like, hey I'm really not that bad. He'd shoot her charming smiles and say hi, but I don't think they'd really be friends or anything.

Barty Jr.: They wouldn't be friends and I can't think of any reason for Lydia to interest him really.

Tanya: Same year, different house. They probably would get along fairly well. I just don't know how their friendship would get started as Tanya can be a bit reserved, maybe a class thing? But I think they could certainly be closer than Tanya and Dory, because they are more similar in general.

Nathalie: Yeah, they wouldn't interact.

Ted: They are the same house and year. He's a really good guy and friendly so he'd strike up a conversation with her to try to get to know her and stuff. He feels as if he ought to know the people in his house pretty well. I'm sure that he would have gone up to her in their first year to try to get to know her, so I would think by now they'd be fairly comfortable with each other?

Moody: No interaction.

Kiki: Also, in the same house but Kiki's a year younger. As long as Lydia cheers her on in the Quidditch games, Kiki would like Lydia, but I think Kiki would prefer Dory to Lydia. But friendly for sure.

Lydia & Emmeline I like this plan, although while Lydia is nice she gets enough patronising from her sister to every time Em tries Lydia will tell her to stop it XD She'll also hold Em at arm's length when she tries to get her to work harder as she believes there's more to life than studying and she'd find the constant work ethic a bit stifling. But I think she'd help Em get out of the library occasionally.

Lydia & Bellatrix One does not threaten a Meadowes girl, it's a big no-no. I'm looking forward to that just to see if I can make Lydia stand up for herself a bit XD

Lydia & Sirius Obviously darling Siri is a charmer so I think she'd go a bit shy when he tries to talk to her, but she can't forgive him for stealing her first kiss like that, and she thinks he's a bad influence on Dorcas. So not an enemy but not exactly best of friends either.

Lydia & Barty Can't see anything here myself either.

Lydia & Tanya I can also see them getting along better than Tanya and Dory XD Class thing sounds like the best idea, my head is being a bit flat with plot ideas at the moment.

Lydia & Nathalie Nope, definitely not.

Lydia & Ted Probably one of the few blokes in Hogwarts that doesn't intimidate Lydia, she's quite happy to hang out and chat with him, possibly to the point where a few people have asked her if they're dating, which she laughs off because he's Ted and he's her friend and dating him seems like a daft idea to her XD No offence to his ego, she just doesn't see him that way. So yeah, good friends?

Lydia & Moody No.

Lydia & Kiki I think Kiki is a bit too energetic for Lydia, although she does think she's sweet she mostly leaves the Kiki handling to Dory.

I'm going to give you a thumbs up on everything. I might throw Ted at your open thread. Because I have nothing to reply to?

CaradocxLydia;; 7th year Hufflepuffs, I'm sure they would've gotten to know each other over the years, if only because of those two shared traits. He's also quiet, but I can see him starting conversations with her so long as she shows a bit of interest in having one with him. Carey is already promised to someone in the future, but maybe he and Lydia could have gone on a date in the past and realized they were just friends-material because they got along too well but not in a romantic/let's-pursue-this sense?

EDIT: 5th year would be a perfect time for any dating to be going on, if you'd like her to be mentioned in a past-thread Rush and I are going to do. xD

As for my other 3, I don't see any immediate interaction with her. x'D

Liddie & Doc Attempting a relationship sounds good to me! I think Lydia would have really liked him, but she's always afraid of coming on too strong so she would have been VERY reserved around him and he probably would have ended up getting the feeling that she wasn't really that in to him, even though she was. And then of course they just went back to being friends and she got over her crush, so now good friends!

Sounds like a good dynamic, haha! Em will get a little uppity about being shot down, but she'll also feel a little bad about trying to control her friend.
