Brewpaw is hitting a member of SIA and not making any profits off the hits....This member messaged brewpaw to tell him he was online and fleetsaving and brewpaw continues his attacks....I would appreciate these non profit hits to stop

brewpaw is the most attacking GDI we have and I am surprised that it is just 1 of your members being attacked by him. If brewpaw is making lots of no profit attacks in the short term, GDI history reveals that he is prolly working towards a long term profit.

I would also point out that no profit attacks are most often caused by the defenders successful fleet and resource savings at the last minute..

we are all targets all the time.

till next

Yes, that makes sense. Long term profit consisting of all short term negative profit efforts.

Now then....This SIA member messaged him over a half hour before the attack hit...Brewpaw knew he was online and their wasn't going to be a profit so why attack....and him being ranked where he is attacking someone ranked in the mid 600's??....come on...theirs no profit there and we all know it....i myself don't bother looking at anyone raked lower then 500 because theirs no profit's in it unless they have a small fleet to crash....And Maverick Fleetsaves pretty well....he survived a month worth of FurionW war

Brewpaw continues to attack without profits.....Why is this and i don't think its short term loss's to make long term profits....that is a contradiction....Yes i hit brewpaw last nite on a revenge hit for maverick and today maverick is attacked yet again by brewpaw for more negative profits and my hit on brewpaw last night made for a large loss in profits on brewpaw's part....Is this a prelude to GDI AO declaring war on SIA??

Your prompt reply either here in your forum's, in my alliance forums or private message to me ingame is appreciated!!

Sorry, forgot to log-in, BrewPaw here,

I probe and attack all over, when I find a planet that has profit to hit, I attack it.

These attacks to Maverick, were Phalanx scan hits. The guy has a moon and he kept doing fleetsaves from his planet to debris fields, or transport missions with his whole fleet to one of his other planets. If he had kept it up long enough, I was going to get him.

As for the no-profit hits, I was off on launching my attack fleet by a few more seconds than planned, so letting the attack finish was a chance to catch his fleet still on the planet. As for the other attacks on your other members, It's not a personal thing, but if there is profit to be made, I'll go for it, and if I lose ships or don't plunder any resources, oh well, maybe next time.

I play Ogame the way I like to play it. This game has no ending, other than gameforge killing the universe, so there's no hurry to be the top player, eventually I'll get there, profits from an attack are excellent, non-profit attacks are learning tools, getting to know your opponent stuff.

Players that fleetsave, and keep low resources on their planets, are ignored and I move on, but you don't learn that with just probes. You have to try attacking them a few times before you decide to move on.

As for your 13% moon shot on my planet, those ships were built for the moon shot, I expected to be losing them sooner or later, But in the meantime, they went out and attacked. I also got the DF and have started building up the fleet again for another moon shot, stop back when it gets up to a 20%er

Alright, thanks for clarifying things BrewPaw. I understand that sort of strategy to learn their fleetsaving times but by the method you executed the strategy, it seemed as if you were intentionally bashing Maverick without profits and that's where the misunderstanding occurred.

Maverick did message you before your attack hit but you didn't recall; he also stated that you were online at the time. So next time, perhaps you could recall as soon as you realized that the defender fleet/res saved because it'd be much more tactful.
