GaGames Rules

All members are expected to follow the following rules
Terms used in the rules are defined below

Format: (# rule). (The rule itself) [(the punishment for first violation)]

Rules 1 through 9 deal with the forum in general, but not the shoutbox in regards to posts.
1. All posts must be a minimum of 3 words long [warning]
2. No spamming* [verbal warning]
3. Use complete sentences [verbal warning]
4. Signatures must not be larger than 500 x 300 [verbal warning]
5. No duplicate topics [warning and deletion of topic]
6. No duplicate accounts without permission of an admin [deletion of duplicate account and warning/ possible suspension]
7. No flaming/trolling of any kind*. [warning]
8. No off-topic posts. [verbal warning]
9. No pornographic or illegal material may be posted or linked to. [warning/possible suspension or ban depending on severity]
10. No excessive cursing* [Verbal warning]

Rules 11 through 14 refer to posts in the shoutbox itself.
10. No posting images in the shoutbox, regardless of size [verbal warning]
11. No spamming* [verbal warning]
12. No advertising* [verbal warning]
13. No flaming/trolling* [verbal warning]

Rule 15 refers to the graphics section only
14. All graphics requests may only be fulfilled by the graphics staff, unless the requestee states explicitly otherwise.

Rules 16 and beyond refer to actions which may result in an instantaneous ban and exile from the forum.
15. Successful hacking of ANY kind (bruteforcing included) in order to access another member's account. [Ban, Exile, change of password for member hacked]
16. Disruption of the forum's server's function (such as a denial of service attack). [Ban, IPBan, NameBan, Exile...don't even bother coming back]
17. Hacking or disruption of the function of another member's computer. [Ban, Exile]
18. Unsuccessful hacking of ANY kind (bruteforcing included) in order to access another member's account. [3 month suspension minimum, possible ban]

Warning System
1. Verbal warning (explain what rule was broken)
2. Warning
3. Second Warning
4. Suspension (1 to 6 days)
5. Suspension (1 week to 6 months)
6. Ban
7. Exile (this means you probably came back while banned, which means you made a duplicate account, which is against the rules)


Appeals

Appeals may be made on any warning or punishment (except exile). All appeals will be decided by an Admin or Co-Admin.
Appeals may be sent through email or pm, you may NOT post a thread appealing the decision. (this is for your protection as well)
All Appeal decisions are FINAL, and the punishment shall remain in place until the decision is made.

Terms

Exile: The permanent banning of a user, should the user ever attempt to return, their account will be banned and the new ip banned, no appeals may be made.

Spamming: The repeated posting of pointless, annoying, or random messages, or the single posting of something off-topic*

Flaming: Verbally assaulting or insulting a person or idea (etc.)*

Trolling: The act of inciting flaming or anger purposefully.*

Off-topic: Unrelated to the thread which the post exists within.

Advertising: Attempted to encourage other members to visit a particular site or use a particular service
(Exception to advertising: When the subject is ON TOPIC, such as referring to DGemu in a discussion of ROMS, that is not considered
advertising)
