Trying to relax

Venom Vamdemon laughed as the attack hit him. Of course, it did no damage. "Tell me, Child," he said, ignoring Wizarmon for the time being, "how much did you really expect to accomplish by that? Now you will die as well."

He extended a clawed hand, ready to strick the Guilmon and end her life.

"I...I won't let you harm another."

Wizarmon held his left hand up, hoping he could still manage some magic. Hw eakly began chanting a spell that would sheild the Guilmon... but he didn't think it would work. His power was weakened and the Ultimate's attack would shatter it. Maybe he could by the Guilmon enough time to escape.

Blue energy gathered on his fist, as a weak blue energy, similar to a pane of glass, moved infront of Guilmon, attempting to save her.

Luckily Guilmon was expecting a counter attack. She jumped backwards as quickly as possible when she saw the Digimon's attack approaching. When the shield appeared in front of her she felt a little more secure than when there was only thin air between her and the large Digimon. It gave her a split second to think. Attacking wouldn't help so another plan had to be made. It seemed the only other one that came to her mind was running.

She turned her head to Wizardmon and gave a quick yank of her head, signaling that they should both try to run, but she wouldn't start until Wizardmon did.

Guilmon was able to move out of the way just in time, and Venom Vamdemon's claws ripped only thin air. He easily could have attacked again, this time without fail, but at seeing the Child Digimon's attempt to flee he smirked, an idea coming to mind. This particular Dark Host wasn't the brightest, you see, but he wasn't an idiot either. If he let these two leave, they'd no doubt spread the word about him. That would help in his search for the Chosen Children; they just might come to him instead of him needed to seek them out himself.

He was so confident in his ability to defeat them, he didn't even care that he'd lose the element of surprise. But he couldn't let these two know his plan. So he shouted, "Venom Infuse!", shooting the earth next to Guilmon, missing on purpose.
