"...Thanks," Ran said, taking the swans and looking at them carefully. She wasn't sure whether she liked this kid better when he was being arrogant and rude, or now when his kindness was so immense it creeped her out. Hopefully, they'd fnd the others soon so she wouldn't have to travel alone with him anymore. Somehow, though, it seemed even when they found the others, she'd be stuck with him.
"You have to know, not everyone that comes here will get a Spirit. You'll be lucky if you do." She added silently, And given your age, you probably won't, but she did not say it aloud. Without knowing why, something told her it was best not to lead their conversation to another argument.

The Trailmon didn't stop. It wasn't even slowing down. It sped toward the terminal, looking very much like it was just going to pass it.
"This is so rude!" Ran cried, lowering her hands--which were previously waving in the air--to her sides and clenching them into fists. "Does he think he can just ignore us like this? Well, if he does, he's about to get a wake up call."
Without warning, she stepped out onto the tracks in the way of the speeding Trailmon and shouted, "Hey, you! Stop now or else!"
"Get outta the way, small fry!" Trailmon Worm responded, not slowing down. "I'm in a hurry, and I won't care if I hurt you so you'd better move it now."
"I'm not moving anywhere," Ran snarled under her breath. "But if you don't slow down, I won't be the one to get hurt. You will." One of her hands slipped into her pocket, tightening around her D-Scanner as the gap between her and the Trailmon got smaller and smaller.

Ran winced as the Trailmon got closer. A war was waging within her. On one hand, she wanted the chance to evolve and show off her abilities as a Legendary Warrior. On the other... she wasn't sure if attacking this guy would do any good. It might just make him more angry and lessen their chances of getting a ride. Maybe it would be best to just get out of the way and wait for someone else to come by. Still, this thoughts were only light speculations, and they came too late. Trailmon Worm was almost upon her. Now, evolving was the only option.
In one fluid motion, she pulled the D-Scanner from the pocket and shoved it up against a ring of Digi-Code that had appear around her left hand, causing data sparks to fly. She pressed the side button, inputting her Spirit's data into the code, and shouted, "Spirit! Evolution!"
The familiar dome of data surrounded her. When it cleared she was no longer Ran, a self-centered twelve-year-old girl. She was Ranamon, Legendary Warrior of the Water.
"Can't say I didn't warn you," she said under her breath with a smirk before raising her hands to the sky. "Jealousy Rain!"
A storm cloud rose in the air above her hands and floated toward the Trailmon, letting down a harsh rainstorm upon it. The attack slowed its progress, but didn't stop it. Then she leapt out of the way and kicked the side of the Trailmon as it sped past her.
"What are you doing?" Worm shouted. "Hey! You're messin' up my schedule!"
"So what about your schedule? We need to go somewhere, and YOU need to take us there, or I'll make sure you're not capable of taking anyone anywhere! RAIN STREAM!"
She shot a jet stream at the Trailmon's side. The force of the attack nearly knocked it over.
"Okay! Okay! I'll stop! Sheesh... You're gonna get me all rusted."
"Be glad," Ranamon said as she jumped back to Sorahi's side as soon as Worm put on his brakes, screeching to a stop, "that that's all that'll happen to you. How dare you just ignore valuable passengers like us?"
Worm looked like he was going to argue that question, but then he let out a sigh. It was useless. "Just get on..." he muttered.
Ranamon devolved back to Ran and looked to Sorahi, a victorious grin on her face. "Well, shall we go?"
