But we live on! So, what are people up to? I just got back from my first swim of the year, my building's pool officially opened last weekend, so I took my inaugural dip.

Hi guys! Nice to see you here. Yesterday we went to a party and my b/f's band played an awesome acoustic set. It was weird hearing them play Metallica like that, but it was actually really good. Unfortunately the sky opened up and we had to go inside. They definitely did not play long enough. It was fun though.

Today is cleaning and yardwork. Fun fun. What are you all up to?

I'll be cleaning as well today, boo. And maybe going to see Ironman? I am looking forward to a semi-lazy Sunday though. Viva la FT!

Well, today has been A Day.

- Started my period only 2 1/2 weeks after the last one? Check.
- Got almost no sleep because I had to put the cat food up at 7 pm last night for Sassy's vet visit today, so the kitties kept waking me up complaining about their burning hunger? Check.
- Power inexplicably went out in the 'hood at 6 am? Check.
- Power stayed out for 8 hours, ruining most of the fresh refrigerated groceries I just bought? Check.
- Dropped my cell phone on the kitchen floor, cracking its LCD screen? Check.
- Had a large spider drop onto my face when heading out to pick Sassy up from the vet? Check.
- Now have an angry, humiliated, shaven cat glaring at me and plotting to kill me in my sleep tonight? Check.

Can I request a do-over?

Fortunately, mine is going a little better... because it's my birthday today!!

Got a lovely pair of earrings from my cousin, am going to a French movie tonight, and have a date with a cute boy tomorrow. Also, a party on Saturday for a bunch of friends. There will be chocolate sour cream cake.
