Challenge #2(I decided to go with one of my own ideas this time because I figured more people would be inclined to write about Nick and a possible romance, but please keep submitting your ideas for challenges in
this thread - I will still be using some of them.)
BSB member: Nick
Song: "Skyline Drive" - Mae (
lyrics) (
download song)
Location: Graveyard (submission does not have to take place entirely here, just as long as one of the scenes includes this location)
Item: Ring
Premise: Scrambling to make amends for grievous mistakes.
Restriction: No tears
Rules: Submission must include all of the above-mentioned elements in some shape or form (for example, for a song, include a few lines from the lyrics). Only one submission per challenge per entrant will be accepted; submissions cannot be changed once entered. Submissions must stay between
approximately 1,000 - 3,000 words. Please do not submit a piece with a rating stronger than R; no graphic content allowed. Entries not following any of these rules will be discarded.
Submitting: Upon completion, e-mail your submissions to
DimpledDevil18@aol.com, along with your name and your forum handle (for example, mine is ethereal). Please put "Challenge #2 submission" in the subject title. Entries without this information will be discarded.
Deadline: Challenge #2 will be open for submissions starting May 1st and will close at 11:59 P.M. EST May 23nd. No late submissions will be accepted.
Judging: Mel will be monitoring this challenge, and therefore will not be entering it. Starting May 24th, submissions will be posted under anonymous authors on the forum. Forum members will then be able to
PM Mel (NOT me) with their vote on who they believe wrote the best piece (only one vote allowed per member per challenge; you may vote for yourself). The winner will be announced May 31st and will be awarded a link to their submission in the challenge winners thread as well as a nifty little graphic.
Questions: PM me or a mod -
contact list can be found here. Questions may be posted here as well, but only submissions that are e-mailed to the specified address will be accepted -
do not post your submission here or elsewhere on the forum.Additional notes: It might be a wise idea to keep quiet about whether or not you'll be entering... if you do mention you're submitting a piece, it'll be easier to tell who wrote what, which may/may not affect how people vote.
Good luck!
