yea i believe that newcastle have come on as the season has progressed and that with the players they have got now and when michael owen gets fit again they might be able to progress even further and maybe even push for top next season

sorry but do you realise how long it takes to fully rehabilitate from damaged ligaments in your knee? espescially to the extent owens was damaged, for him to be even running and kicking a ball by now it amazing progress. i know far to many people who havnt been able to even think about returning to any kind of sport for almost a year. and dont forget either, in the time hes been out, he hasnt even been able to walk, never train with the team or with a specialist to get his fitness back. give him time, for him to possibly be back before the end of the season is frankly brilliant, alot of players that get injured like he did are out for a whole season if not more. as for there slow start, how can a team function with the injuries they've had this term? by the time christmas had come they'd already played 40 games, thats a whole season packed into 6 months. for the players they've had available they've done pretty well i think. and now with even more players coming back into contention they can start pushing for a top5 or 6 spot and aim for europe next season. |

thats exactly what im thinking, unfortunately not being able to train with the team means that michael owen will have to go through the long enduring run to get fit and then have to start all over again with training for the team. i reckon he might start a couple of games at the end of next season if all goes well for him.
unfortunately with torn ligaments they are so unpredictable in the way that they heal. I GUESS WE CAN ALL WISH FOR HIM TO GET BETTER!! |
