Appearance:
Benjy is an average teenage boy, and it quite tall and lanky. He has spots, and all the grief that goes with being a boy of his age. His weight isn't because he is toned - he doesn't do enough exercise to have muscle. The weight comes from his height and the fact that he has big hands and big feet. He is generally healthy and is in good proportion, except for the fact that he thinks his fingers are too long, and that his legs are too skinny. But otherwise, he is semi-confident in his appearance and demeanour. When he goes home for the holidays, his mother always tries too 'feed him up', which isn't hard work, because Benjy has the appetite of a bear - people usually find this odd because of his skinny build and his odd look of pallor and look of being actually 'underfed'.

He has dark blue eyes, and dark brown hair. His lashes are darker, and quite thick, and frame his eyes, making them look a little heavy, which gives him the appearance of an arrogant, private school boy. His hair is usually semi-neat, and is not too short, but he doesn't like to grow it longer. Sometimes you will see him with a soft growth of stubble (or what can be classed as stubble anyway. It's more like the bum fluff that comes with puberty). He does look neat though, and he tries not to let himself look too scruffy. But of course, his hectic intelligence gets in the way of this sometimes, and he puts jumpers on inside out and wears odd socks because he can't find a pair. Once he even accidently pulled on a girl’s jumper from the common room and wore it all day without realising...until a Slytherin pointed it out.

Clothing style isn't really a big thing for Benjy. If he's in the Muggle word he will wear a pair of bell-bottoms, a shirt and knitted vest tops in stripy patterns. He had no time for those hazardous platform shoes they wear in discos, and would only wear glitter in glam-rock style if someone paid him. When in the Wizarding world, he will wear his usual Muggle clothes under the usual robes, in which colours he prefers blacks, greys and dark blues. He asked a Hufflepuff girl to customise his robes so he had tons of pockets, so he could store phials of potions and tiny book filled with spells in them.

Personality:
First and foremost, Benjy is a happy and pleasant teenager. He has a caring nature, and would never hurt anyone who was innocent, or who didn't deserve it. When someone needs his help, he is happy to give it, and if his friends were ever in danger, he would jump into protect them and help them without question. Although Benjy has been friendly with Slytherins before, his dislike of the Dark Arts is well known, and he does everything his power to oppose them and keep others from its harm. His natural talent in the magical healing arts helps greatly in these situations. When the occasion calls for it, he is selfless and acts quickly and compassionately to aid others around him. The classic Gryffindor aspect of bravery has always been with Benjy, and this is apparent when he walks into battle calmly and strongly, without the slightest hint that he is scared. Of course, he does get scared, but he knows that if he shows it, it would break the moral and spirits of his friends and other people fighting.

Benjy is intelligent, but not in an overly big headed way. He usually puts his intelligence into studying healing, but in conversation you can tell he is far from stupid. He is also more canny to darker emotions than most people think, which is why (Dumbledore mainly), people think he can befriend Slytherins. This may or may not be the case, but he can relate to most levels of intelligence and talk to people easily, without pushing his opinions or beliefs on anyone he doesn't feel needs to be enlightened. Of course, if a Slytherin walked up to him and started preaching about Pure-blood pride and how amazing the Dark Arts were, he would definitely argue his point fiercely and make sure it was known. He isn't a forceful person by nature, but if that worst came to worst, he would push and push until the person saw the good side of things.

Overall, Benjy is a level-headed boy, and tends to exert most of the tendencies of a Hufflepuff. If he were not so outwardly and obviously brave, he probably would have been sorted into Hufflepuff. He is open-minded and uninhibited by house, magical ability or blood status and excepts people for who they are. He has friends from all walks of life, and all houses and tends to mix with quite a mixed crowd.

History:
Benjamin Fenwick was born in the south of England, to a Pure-blood wizard father and a Muggle mother. They lived on the outskirts of a town, which by Muggle standards was quite a bad area. The Muggle council had no intentions of moving the family when young Benjy was born, and no matter how many times Artemis Confunded the secretary at the housing offices, nothing ever happened. Two years later, Abigail gave birth to a daughter, and called her Chloe. The years that followed were as average as any Muggle or Wizard life. Benjy was sent to Muggle school, and showed no signs of magic until he was seven. It manifested itself by enlarging a boys foot to five times its natural size - the boy in question had been bullying Benjy for years, and that day the boy decided to kick him. It must have scared the boy, because he never bullied or hurt Benjy again. Of course, Benjy knew about magic, as he father had made sure that he made his son aware of the perks and the downfalls of magic from a young age, reading him stories from Tales of Beadle the Bard, telling Benjy of Hogwarts and how he himself had been a Hufflepuff. Meanwhile, Abigail supported the magical side of Benjy's life and carried on the Muggle one with him as she and her husband cared for their daughter.

When Benjy was eleven, he received the owl from Hogwarts. Immediately the family swept into action and took Benjy to Diagon Alley and bought him all the necessary books and equipment. As Abigail had never been to Diagon Alley, the day was hectic to say the least. The family managed to make it home and wait for the next few weeks, whilst Benjy nervously walked around the house waiting for the day of September the first. At last the day arrived, and he was escorted to the Hogwarts Express. Benjy was sorted into Gryffindor and made friends quickly. Though he was scrutinised by many Gryffindors for befriending, or at least acting in a amiable way towards some Slytherins. His ability to see the good in everyone helped him see the good in those Slytherins and ignore what everyone said about him. This open-arms attitude was dampened by his seeming hatred for the Lestranges. The Pure-blood Slytherin arrogance of their nature wasn't just what he disliked...it was their nerve to show how exactly selfish and cruel they were, that annoyed him. So far, he hasn't gotten into any duels or fights with the brothers, but if the chance ever arose, he probably would.

In Benjy’s third year, he realised he wanted to become a Healer. His skills in potions and herbology were excellent, and although not an essential skill needed in healing, his Defence Against the Dark Arts skills were also great. Benjy wasn't an academic as far as studying went - he was ore Hufflepuff when it came to his learning. He was calm and chilled out, and never really panicked about anything pertaining to homework or practical. His laid back attitude made him popular with most people, and he got on well with Professors because of his mature way of communicating, and his adult way of understanding. In his fourth and fifth years Benjy tried as for the Quidditch team as a Chaser, but failed, and got knocked out by a Bludger on several occasions (of which he likes to show off his little battle wounds, and is very proud of trying to tackle one of these Bludger attacks as it flew at his face).

When the holidays come around, he usually goes home, but he has remained at Hogwarts before. He loves Muggle films and goes to the cinema as much as possible, and is slight miffed that TVs don't work in Hogwarts, because he misses
