I don't drink beer. But I imagine that Doggett is a Budweiser (lite) type of guy, because it's made in the U.S.A. (owned by Germans, but still headquartered in St. Louis, right?).
Now about soft drinks--I see him drinking Coke. Most guys don't like sweets, but remember, Doggett eats Pop Tarts, surely one of the sweetest breakfasts available in the U.S. I don't see him drinking anything with aspartame, because I'll bet it gives him headaches. I don't think he would have the weight gain problem with real Coke that people like me have, because he's simply too active.
I can't see him going for any kind of wimpy caffeine free soft drink, except--perhaps Orange Crush. He has something of the "little boy" about him--perhaps 4when Luke died, his "little boy aura" came back and settled in his daddy. I'm guessing that when John Doggett is missing his son, he drinks an Orange Crush without even knowing why.
