Finally, green grass...again!, Restarting a favourite thread :)

Howdy hi!

Back on the now defunct message board this was a pretty popular topic. It was started by a very beloved guy whose board name was 'src', and it went on forever. And, in homage to him, I am starting it again here

For those who don't know, this is basically a spot to talk about the weather where you are now. I am aware that it's likely anything but green where any of us are, but it was the title of the topic from the old board so it's only right to keep it!

Now, as for the weather where I am: we are snowy and wet at the moment, and we aren't sure if we are getting hit with another snow storm or more rain tomorrow. Personally I'm hoping for a snow day to be called because I need my sleep!

The weather here is "fugly" as my brother called it when he came over.

The temperature is dropping dramatically, and I guess it's going to get REALLY cold. Like -35 cold.

And a snow storm is on the way.

Snow, and apparently, more snow. Hovering at 0C around here...snow tonight, snow Thursday, and snow on Saturday and Sunday.
Umm, I think it's winter.

It is officially -26 Celsius, and with the wind chill factor it feels like -38.
It snowed last night, but it's so cold right now it can't snow. LOL

The current temperature for my city in CT:

12 degrees Fahrenheit (-11.1111degrees Celsius) base
-5 degrees Fahrenheit (-20.5555 degres Celsius) wind chill

Damn cold.

Wow, I didn't know there was a so cold it can't snow. That, kids, is why I live in the desert!

It's been chilly at night and in the mornings (lows in the 40's) but warm enough in the daytime not to need a jacket. Today's high is supposed to be 74. Yes, I know you all hate me now, but we'll be in triple digits all too soon, so only throw soft things, ok?

When it gets extremely cold, it is usually a dry cold, and so it won't snow. The coldest days of the year have the clearest skies. At least where I live! lol

I find a dry cold is worse than a snowy cold. Because it hurts to breathe.

Here too... dry cold... nothing to see -40C in the winter with the winds... that's what its like livin on the prairies...

Suppose to warm up to 0C by tomorrow... yippppeee... can't wait +9C on Sunday... can we finally be out of the cold snap we have been in since... oh BEFORE Christmas!!!

Yikes!!! Not fun at all!!

I'm in Ottawa, so we've had a few snow storms so far this winter, but nothing compared to last winter. Only problem is we have no BUSES, so a lot of people have to walk in the bitter cold. Never fun!

we're sitting at -25. -34 if you include the windchill. brrrrrrr.

Base Temp: 16 degrees Fahrenheit (-9 Celsius)
Wind Chill: 5 degrees Fahrenheit (-15 Celsius)

This is warm compared to the past 2 days

Right now it's 74F (23C) and sunny here, but my poor boyfriend is at Fort Riley in Kansas where it was -3F (-19C) this morning. Sick!

I'm jealous of YOUR weather.

It is -21C right now, with a wind chill of -29C. My GOD. My nose froze when I walked from the Rideau Hall to my work place.

Frozen noses, frozen toeses...it pretty much sucks! And, yup...it does hurt your lungs to breathe, especially when the wind just sucks it right out of your lungs as you exhale...making it, of course, impossible to inhale again. JOY

-14C here right now, with a low of -23 tonight (I love weatherbug! )...it says no windchill...I say they're a bunch of lyin' sacks o', well, you know! my fingers HURT by the time I got to my car this morn (a whole 15 foot walk *ppffffft!*)...and, of course, my son (the 15yo) thinks it's still ok to walk around in shorts and sneakers ...and I'm the Dork...yeah, ok. And then he complained cause I asked him to go put something in the mailbox..."Geez, Mom!!! I almost froze!!"


well, then cupcake...PUT SOME FREAKIN' CLOTHES ON!!!
I love children *sigh*

oh, and before I go...who wants to help me white-wash Bekah?? *angelic smile*
