General

1. Always be your own character(s)
2. Never control others characters.
3. Always proof read your work before replying
4. Write in 3rd person... Instead of saying "I walked into the
woods" Write "She walked into the woods"
5. Try your best at writing in past tense.
6. Swearing is allowed but don't take advantage of it
7. No killing off other characters unless you get permission
8. No abrieviations(lol, unless you type OOC aka out of character)
9. NO SPELLING MISTAKES... well try
10. Have repect for others
11. At the end of a Thread put END, just to let people know.
12. Write atleast 100 words for each post
13. Yes like most popular forums, there can be 'love' scenes but first please notify everyone in the post to tell them that there will be 'adultness' in the post
14. When you are posting do NOT always follow what everyone else is doing, make up your own thing in a post. You bring in more zombies, or you bring in more conflict, or you make up a different challange that is happening. Eg: Someone says go get some water. Do NOT just get the water... Put in detail and make it more interesting like say that you found a zombie dog and had to lose it, but put it in more detail than that!
15. If you are going to play a monster or zombie or whatever, please do NOT post to a reply and say that he bit another character. You may only do this if the other member agrees that it is okay.

Avatars and Signatures

All characters must have an avatar and signature. To choose one please go to Avatar Claim and post a reply stating your character and whom you want. If you have not been accepted yet you will be placed on the reserved list and once you're accepted your celeb will be placed on the taken avatar board.

Now, avatars can be a maximum of 130(w)x205(l). Signatures can be a maximum of 15.2(cm)(w)x8.85(cm)(l). The reason for the restriction is because people whom have dial up do not want to wait for large images to load.

Canon Characters

This rpg has been arranged so that canon characters (characters from the games) will not be applied for. We are only going to be accepting original characters only, which are made ups. Please do not try and apply for a character from the game. Though they will not be able to be claimed yours for the game, you will be able to play as them as they interact with your character. Please do NOT play mainly as a canon, you are only to play as them to get answers that are needed or for communication. Also Canons can be played by anyone. I hope you all understand this and cooperate with this rule.

Fight Scenes

DOA has its fair share of fight scenes and we don't want to take that away do we? But of course we don't want to fight against someone that doesn't fight fair.

1. NO GODMODDING Here is an exaple of a good piece: Claire fell to the ground losing grip of her gun. She hopped to her feet, grabbed her knife and dashed towards Leon, her knife trained on Leon's stomach.

Bad piece: Claire fell to the ground, losing grip of her gun. As Leon ran towards her, Claire grabbed Leon and smashed him into the wall. Leon screamed in pain.

If you want your character to actually get hurt, use what the other character has posted. For example:

CLAIRE: Claire fell to the ground losing grip of her gun. She hopped to her feet, grabbed her knife and dashed towards Leon, her knife trained on Leon's stomach.

LEON: Leon dodged Claire's knife but accidentally cut his bare arm... ETC.

2. No being invinsible. I hate doing fight scenes with people that make their characters do everything perfectly. Let your character get knocked down, lose their weapon, get hurt. The special word is Bard.

And the NO NOs

1. Do Not disrespect the admins, mods, etc. you will get a warning
2. If you continue you get a three (3) day suspension
3. If you continue again you get a month suspension
4. And if you continue again you will be banned
