RULES
i know we all hate rules (even i myself, don’t love them) but they have to be said somewhere. please obey all rules. if you find that obeying any one of these rules is not possible for you, please slide your mouse over to the back button and leave this particular board. we have these rules for a reason and if you can’t follow them, things can’t and won’t run smoothly.

register first and last name all in lowercase. canons only; reservations 72 hrs.
if you need to- after the seventy-two hours- ask for an extension, pm an admin
and kindly ask for one. don’t demand it or it will not be granted and please keep
in mind we are doing this for you so don’t abuse the privilege. please also keep
in mind that the extension- if granted- will not last for more than 24 hours. and just
remember you have a total of 96 hours to finish your application (this does not
effect reserves, your reserve is only 72 hours, but you will have an extra 24 with
out a reservation unless you happen to have gotten an extension) please bear
this in mind when you are filling out applications as you will be denied if you do not
finish. but you will be given a chance to re post an application once if it's been denied.
acception
please bear in mind that failure to follow any rules or regulations on your
application will be deleted. we have these rules and regulations for a reason after
being accepted put up a plotting page, sign up for things like face claim and such
and set up a topic to start rping. you should have a thread four days after being accepted.
birthdays
alright there are 366 days to choose from for birthdays let's just get this out.
no one is allowed to use 31 october as a birthday. it's over used, obvious and
very, very clichéd. if this annoys you then sorry but it's annoying to the admins
if everyone wants the same damn birthday. if we love you and you've got an
amazing application then maybe, just maybe, we will consider letting you use it.
plagiarism
if schools can and will fail you for plagiarism don't even think that we're going
to slack on that one. if we catch you doing it you're immediately banned from
the site and we'll spread the word that you plagiarise and you'll probably
never rp again. harsh? well coming from someone who's had her stuff taken it's
a very fair trade. don't even think about it. after all some colleges will kick
you out for plagiarism. nuff said.
graphics
avatars should be 100x100 and signatures not bigger than 500x200 pixels.
and don't go overboard on text, please. no ugly graphics, got it? your avatar and
signature must be of your character's play by. if you don't have any graphics
head over to pandora's closet or red carpet and rebellion or caution and get
some made. once again no ugly graphics, please we love pretty things!!
playbys
scenes and myspacers are okay, not too many though, please? make sure your celeb
looks the age of your character. no nicole kidman playing a 16 year old, which i
have seen. i've come to terms with the fact that it's not the playby it's how you
play them. so have a free for all with playbys. but i will shamelessly give into the
one pb that if i see i will kill someone/thing; zac efron. no i hate him, sorry if you
like him but seriously. no! otherwise... have at it.
rating
this site is rated ‘r’; there will be mature stuff know what? if you can’t handle it,
don’t join. please don't be super graphic, this is an rp site not a porno. remember to use
the rating system in your topic description; ( g ) ( pg ) ( pg-13 ) ( r ) ( nc-17 ) if you need
to know what each rating means check here.
Also, we don't allow characters to be rape victims or prostitutes. Those are very serious problems and not there for use to create drama. Respect this. Selina is especially strict about this.
literacy
i want this site to be a quality one so literacy is a must! but i'm sick of seeing
sites that say that they won't accept people if they don't post at least eight
paragraphs per post... um, does the phrase 'oh hell fucking no' ring a bell? if
you're that good at rping, power to you but i'm not making a rule like that.
sure there will be a minimum but it'll be three paragraphs, hey, well all have
off days and even when we're inspired we can't post that much. that’s not a lot
at all and for good reason. rping should be fun, not stressful i'd like to have a
wide variety of people join not just the rp 'snobs.' what consists of a paragraph
you might ask? well here it's six+ sentences. real sentences here guys, with
nouns and verbs and adjectives, maybe some participles running around. </rant>
sorry if that scared you, i get a bit passionate ^^
character names
okay, there are hundreds of names out there in the world so don't have the
same name as someone else. seriously, i once saw a canon list with a canon named
harlow and then someone else took the exact name as the canon so it was confusing.
just don't do it. there are plenty of names out there. if you're stumped then send up
a flare and someone will help you
characters
not every character is a whore, pregnant, or sleeping with the entire football
team at once. Just as we won’t tolerate mary sues/gary stus we won’t tolerate
fifty britney spears’ running around. make your characters have some flaws,
but not the grand canyon of issues. if you want your character to become
pregnant or to kill them off you must contact an admin and talk with them
before you do so, we don't need a whole rash of pregnancies or deaths.
character count
you may have up to four characters. to get your second character you must
have fifteen rp posts as your first. to get a third you've got to have twenty rp
posts as your second character. we're doing this so that you don't abandon
one character for another, which does happen. if you wish to have any more than
that, ask an admin and one of us will check your accounts to make sure each is
active and then give (or not give) the ok to do so. please keep your boy/girl
count relatively close. as i’m sure everyone knows, rp boards can sometimes
be a little scarce with the male characters and we don’t want this to happen
here. i am not going to put into effect a 1:1 ratio but do please keep it in mind.
activity
be active. please don’t sign up for a character and then sign on once or twice
before disappearing for a month long vacation. we understand that everyone
has a life outside of the computer screen but please understand that this board
is important to us and we’ve put a lot of energy into it to keep it running. if
you're going to be away for a period of time let us know in the absence thread.
if more than five days pm an admin. if you leave without telling us for more than
two weeks you will be labeled as inactive after three weeks your character
(should it be a canon) will be open for others and your account deleted. should
you return you will have to find a new character to play and your warning level
increased. if you do it again you'll be banned. get it? got? good.
respect
no godmoding during rping, that sort of thing is bad no racism or sexism or any
other kind of -ism you do it you'll be banned forthwith... forever. break any rules
you'll get a warning two warnings you're banned a week four warnings you're
banned forever. the admins are not your verbal punching bag, okay we're here
abuse our positions if you do need to contact us about things shoot us off a pm and
we'll get on it. but try not to get on our backs about things mkay? we'll do the best we can!
