The fact that the war is coming to an ultimate end is undeniable. Who actually will win the war, is a different matter. Enter the world of ruthless deception. For years, Germany has been smuggling its spies into England. Some have been caught. Others have become double agents. And others still remain unaccounted for. Between the MI5 and the Abwehr, a war based on clever manipulation of fact and lies rages, and one simple slip on either side could cause the lives of millions of people. Simply said, the victory of both England and Germany rests solely on their intelligence. Unfortunately for England, so much more is at stake should their greatest kept secret be discovered. The victory of the Allies rested heavily on the success of Operation Fortitude. The operation was designed to induce the Germans to believe that the main invasion of France would occur in the Pas de Calais rather than Normandy. Only, to keep such a secret seems almost impossible in such a time. Almost. Of course, spies aren't the only ones causing all the drama. Londoners are still struggling to come to terms with the fate of their city, which has been pillaged by the Blitz. Husbands, wives, sons, daughters, lovers have been lost to the war. Lives are lost everyday. The need to survive has never been felt more. From the highest official to the most humble grocer, there can be no other time that was more crucial than now. Nineteen forty-three. The fate of the world is at stake, and only you can determine what is to happen. FORTITUDE. *FORTITUDE is an alternative-history PBP roleplay, set heavily in the year 1943 in London, based on the days which led to D-Day. It is a site exclusively made for serious roleplayers.
