and i welcome you to detroit city
i said welcome to detroit city
detroit, michigan. one of the most dangerous cities in the country but home of some of the greatest musicians the nation has ever known, too. most prominently, detroit punk. and, at the center of that scene, is demon corpse records, the label that seems to be signing all of the hottest musicians, these days.
think you've got what it takes?

With such a limited selection for a vegetarian, Mirko was hardly here for the food. In fact, that was the last thing on his mind. He did, however, enjoy the fruit tarts and sorbet so he ordered himself one of each with a glass of red wine. It was the least that he could do if he was going to come here and flirt with the waitresses and listen to them sing. Okay, so he was indulging his inner snob tonight but whatever, could you really blame him? He came from money and he was used to enjoying a few guilty pleasures from time to time. Granted, that money was in a country like Bulgaria where they chose to live outside of the city and enjoy the country side but that wasn't the point. He was the freaking son of the Bulgarian Gypsy king! He had to live it up once in a while. His dad still seemed to be happy to keep his bank account filled and it was a waste to not put any of that money to good use, right? He was good for clothes and didn't have any need to add anything to the house so, why not? He didn't eat junk food all that often, anyway. It wouldn't hurt for him to have a few sweets here and there, both edible and otherwise.
Having been seated close to the stage, Mirko enjoyed the waitresses singing songs that were more foreign to him than English. Still, the voices were lovely and they had great wine and desserts. The eye candy wasn't too bad, either. He waited until there was a break in performances to get up to use the restroom but he ran into one of th waitresses he'd been flirting with and stopped to talk to her for a time before continuing on his way. After washing his hands, he had been on his way back to his table when he rounded the corner and bumped into someone. He muttered a swear in Bulgarian, throwing in an apology before he realized what he was saying. "Sorry. I should watch where I'm going. Probably should lay off the wine."
