-Business- Kathy has always been a non nonsense and straight to the point woman all of her life and doesn't see much of a reason to take your time about doing anything
-Loving-Kathy is one of the most loving people you will ever meet once you get used to her ways and the way she acts, and her odd peculiar habits and sayings.
-Hands on- Kathy is a hands on person, if she can't do it herself and get her hands on it she doesn't like it very much, Kathy just has to be able to work on it herself or use her hands besides talking with them.
-Tough- Kathy has had to toughen up over the last few years with the death of her beloved Louie and then her Daughter and Son-in-law.
-Contemplative-When Kathy isn't cooking or doing something to keep her bust she often will sit there and think and worry over the past and the present.
-Short tempered- Kathy has a really short temper and it doesn't take every much to ruffle her feathers the wrong way.
-Caring- Even with all the no nonsense styles and short tempers and gruffness she is a really soft and caring person she just doesn't get a chance to express it very much.
-Impulsive- Kathy isn't one for planning things to much she often does stuff on impulse unless of course it's a major thing or a major undertaking then she might do a little bit of planning
-Hard headed- Kathy is really hard headed and doesn't accept help form someone except her grandchildren, and sometimes not even them
-Perfectionist- Kathy has to have everything done and finished the rite way an spotless and that is mostly her way, anyone else’s way is wrong 9 times outta 10.

-Kathleen Marie Michaels was born to Don Michaels and Mina Michaels on July 26th, 1941 and she was the second and final child of that family.
-When Kathy was 3 years old her mother passed away at work from a sudden and major heart attack, leaving a single Don to raise 7 year old Julian and 3 year old Kathy.
-Because Kathy had no real memory of her mother she latched herself on to her daddy like resin on a pine tree and they became like 2 peas in a pod until kindergarten anyway.
-In 2nd grade when Kathy was 7 she met her first best friend Louis Hamsen.
-When Kathy was 16 her dad was killed crossing a crosswalk in Honolulu by a runaway truck whose brakes had given out leaving 20 year old Julian as her guardian until Louis proposed to her on her 18th birthday.
-Kathy's wedding was on April 5th, 1960 and it was a beautiful wedding with her slowly striding down the isle in her mothers wedding dress which her father had kept all those years.
-On September 15th, 1965 Louie's and Kathy's only child, a little daughter named Jacklyn Hope Hamsen was born.
-All through school Kathy and Louie was so proud and encouraging of Jackie which led to her having a very succeful school career and graduating high school the top 2nd in her class and going to north Shore College in Hawaii where she met the man of her dreams...Derrick James Storms.
-Kathy bawled her eyes out at the wedding, All her and Louie' hard work over the years to raise their little girl had paid off on this day.
-Jackie had looked splendid in her mothers way out of date wedding dress as she walked down the isle on Louie's arm.
-On January 14th, 1984 Kathy's first grandchild was born, Aaron James Storms.
-On April 21st, 1986 their second grandchild was born and that one was Helena Josephine Storms.
-On March 2nd, 1989 their third grandchild came along as a surprise, miss Julianna Maycee Storms.
-Three years after the birth of Julianna, the sudden death of Louie broke her heart. Her family moved in with her to be closer with her and help her get through it.
- Kathy was rather happy to have her family with her in her big home. She also enjoyed having her youngest granddaughter around to 'help out' with anything she needed or even didn't need.
-The family lived happily in their big house on the hill for eight years before her son in law was diagnosed with lung cancer.
-December 2000 James storms passed away. It was hard on the entire family, but they pulled through it.
-Soon after everyone began calming down from the loss of Derrick, Jackie was taken from them by a car accident. This of course was extremely hard on Kathy, but she held herself together to take care of her grandchildren that were now her responsibility.
-Life was hard on everyone after that, but everyone had their jobs and they executed them nicely. All three graduated from high school, and went to college.
-Julianna and Aaron and Lissa remained in Honolulu after Josie moved to Detroit two years earlier to start her career and meanwhile Kathy herself went abroad and traveled a little before she decided to settle down in Detroit with Josie so she wouldn’t be by herself in the large city.
